My family and I have used this La Habra Enterprise location on 5 occasions to accommodate our road trips. We have always reserved a car with anticipation and have always been provided with a good selection of vehicles. Branch Manager Justin took care of our needs for our 12 day trip. He upgraded us to a Dodge Durango GT, when we had spare tire concerns on one of their other rentals. There was no stress, he just made sure that as repeat customers we were taken care of. There was no upselling of services, he made us aware of our options with no pressure. I would highly recommend both Enterprise in La Habra and Branch Manger Justin for your car rental needs.

Again I was there for over 45 minutes waiting so this wasn't a quick errand that she was running. Also disappointed with the additional insurance basic coverage. They tell you about the damage waiver and its' cost but didn't mention the additional 24 hour roadside assistance that costs another $9.99 a day and is added in. I also noticed that the same thing happened to a couple who was ahead of us renting a car, they were talked into the additional insurance coverage and when they saw the contract commented that the extra coverage cost nearly $600 for a 4 day rental and was more than the cost for the car. Overall the staff working were trying hard but they weren't able to process the customer volume and their manager wasn't on site to assist. I won't be back to that location in the future. I honestly felt taken advantage of by the roadside assistance coverage being added and the wait to return the car was not reasonable.

There was only one employee on duty and 2 people ahead of me so I did wait for over half an hour, but the one employee called in assistance from another location to help with the rush and she was busy helping other customers so I wasn't upset. When the other employee arrived he immediately helped me and I was on my way about 5 minutes later. Car got decent gas mileage and was easy to drive. Return was quick and efficient. There is a longer wait time at Enterprise with more people than Hertz with less people. 2. I can go into Hertz and they always upgrade me from the cheapest car available to an SUV, Tesla, Challenger, Wrangler, maxima, etc, where as Enterprise will give me the car I paid for. The biggest factor to me is that Hertz wants me in and out where as Enterprise will have me wait for my rental to be ready. Don't get me wrong, I should get what I paid for but it's more important is to get me in and out fast. 3. When I am there and I have been waiting a while to go through the 1st stage of the process and check in, the workers will answer phone calls even though I was waiting in line. Then I have to wait even longer. If this was to happen once in a blue moon, OK but it seems to happen every time....just changed to 1 star....this wait is to often and the waits get a bit out of hand. Rented a 7 passenger suv and when I arrived they told me they didn't have anything available. I asked why I wasn't given a courtesy call to let me know before I took an Uber there. They responded with the last costumer just extended 30min before I got there. So they had 30min to give me that courtesy call. They the. Said they "might" be able to have something at noon and I declined and asked them to cancel my reservation. They then proceeded to tell me they couldn't cancel and I would have to call customer service I looked at both of them and said not only did you not give me a courtesy call you want me to waste more time on hold with customer service? The guy said they would call. I walked out. I love my AMEX but it doesn't pay to be a Hertz Gold Member or even attempt to rent with Hertz. I called other Hertz locations in the area that claimed they had a 7 passenger suv on their site. Turns out all 3 locations have nothing even though they claim they do. When I asked if they had any AAA, AARP, or other discounts, Jamie came over and said they could give me a shop discount since her car was being having repairs done and it wasn't just a leisure rental. Be sure to ask for the "shop discount" if it applies to you. In a little over 15 minutes, the rental paperwork was complete, we inspected the car together, and were on our way. The rental car was a hybrid 2025 Toyota Camry which was spotless inside and out. It did have some minor scrapes on the rear bumper from a previous customer. We had the car for three days and had no issues. I dropped the car off on a Saturday morning, and they were very busy. I arrived just in time as they were already helping two customers, and three other customers arrived minutes after me. Jessie assisted me with check out, thanked me for my patience, and apologized for the wait. The checkout process took less than five minutes. Their "pick up/drop off service" is only available weekdays and is limited to a three mile distance, so I had to take an Uber home. They are only open until 1pm on Saturday and are closed on Sunday, so plan accordingly. All employees were very friendly and professional. We had a great experience at Enterprise and would definitely rent a car from here again.

Upon returning the vehicle, we questioned several additional charges that appeared unnecessary and unclear. Instead of receiving a professional explanation, the conversation became argumentative. We later attempted to call to resolve the matter, but the call was disconnected, making it very difficult to address our concerns. We were also told that certain protections were included with the additional insurance coverage we purchased, only to later discover separate charges for roadside assistance. In addition, there were unexpected "sickness fees" and Toll Road charges added to the bill, despite the fact that we never used toll roads during the rental period. I ultimately had to verify this myself through etoll records using the vehicle's license plate information. To make matters worse, the vehicle was not properly cleaned when we picked it up. It had not been washed or vacuumed, which gave a poor first impression from the start. Overall, the customer service, communication, billing transparency, and vehicle condition did not meet expectations. Based on my experience, I would not rent from this Budget location again.
