Found my new favorite breakfast spot. The pancakes are fluffy, the portions are huge. A solid 5-star experience for anyone who loves a traditional morning meal.

Solid small chill breakfast spot. Prices are excellent and they give you a solid amount of food. Will try to make it for the M-F special $6.99 I think for 4 breakfast items. Not bad

My friend's Corn Beef Hash and 2 Eggs - perfectly cooked.

Omg. This place is the bomb of diners-a must go to!! Whether you're in the mood for pancakes or posole, a breakfast burrito or chicken fried steak-you have come to the right place. It's on the Westside right off interstate tucked away in a little strip mall. I'm salivating just thinking about their posole, which they only serve on Saturdays & Sundays. They also make white and red menudo on the weekends. I've had their chicken fried steak as well - also top notch, along with their perfectly cooked home fries and biscuits. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Breakfast burritos come with a side of the best frijoles in town. My friend raves about their corned beef hash. Love the wait staff and love the atmosphere. Just be prepared to wait, like all good diners.

It's been forever since I've been here, maybe a decade? On the west side of Tucson, we have lacked culinary options, but KG has been a fixture. Perhaps that is the strongest statement about KG - a stable fixture. Serivice is nice, comfortable, and familiar. The food is also comfortable, without surprises; no fancy pretentious names. My friend did mention that we were the youngest by far. That is another positive, I suppose. If you are feeling old and tired, visit here to be reaffirmed that age is just a number and that there are many people older than you. They are living alive, and they might even start an introduction by saying "when I was your age..." So, here is to KG and many patrons who have many more decades of breakfast left.

The hiking disciples held our power breakfast conference at this establishment. The coffee's were full and the french toast was on point. I consumed enough carbs to catapult me in the work week! Thanks for showing us some Westside love. We were able to discuss the logistics for our next summit! KG's for the win.

Nice restaurant. Been here a few times, some with colleagues for lunch…read more Food is good. I've had a variety of things, some Mexican dishes, some American. Did a breakfast once. I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

My hubs suggested that we go to The Frida and see if we could get in. We drive over and guess what, we go lucky, must have been that everyone had a 4th of July hangover. We sat at the bar and couldn't be happier. Our server/bartender took great care of us, he offered us drinks, took our food order and made my hubby a really good Margarita, The Frida Margarita, he said it was bomb! I ordered a beer and it came with a chilled glass and lime wedge. We decided on the flautas and the mole enchiladas. Both fantastic, tasty and hearty! I got full with two enchiladas so I donated the third to my hubby, which he was super happy to eat. I have to say, the mole sauce was decadent and full of flavors. It really reminded me of my grandmas mole. It also left a delicious numbing (very slight) on my lips. Perfect balance of nutty, spicy, almost semi sweet goodness. Gorgeously prepared and looked almost too good to eat. Almost..... The place was full, we were still able to have a conversation. It was amazing. Will definitely be back to continue to enjoy the carefully curated menu. Everyone seemed happy and relaxed! This screams a great place to work and obviously enjoy. Well done La Frida! Well done!
