My family and I stopped by for breakfast. My kids loved their French toast and pancakes. My son got the birria torta and it was so good!! My husband and I got the chilaquiles and the menudo. Those were not good. The chilaquiles had a weird taste and the menudo was canned. I can tell a fresh menudo from a canned one, and that was not fresh. I was a little disappointed because one of the reviews on here said it was the best menudo they've ever had. Sorry, but that's false!! Try a fresh menudo. Our waitress was okay, she just stopped by a couple of times and we were in need of drinks. The bathrooms are outside so that was more an inconvenience than a bad ambiance. I went early and was the only customer except for 2 others. What a disappointment to be served watery and bland huevos rancheros. But the waitress came over to check on me and asked if the food was alright. She offered me another dish of my choice and this time, I was satisfied. If not for her excellent customer service, I would have left upset that I chose this place among so many other restaurants. There is no ambience to speak but for their choice of music. The parking lot was packed -- which is always a good sign for the best meal of the day! Service was wonderful, the staff were all friendly and smiling. We ordered Huevos Rancheros for the hubs, and I got pancakes. It was a cool surprise when my pancakes were delivered in the shape of Mickey Mouse! This was our first time giving this place a try. The place was average nothing fancy needed to get a key and go back outside around the back of the building to use the bathroom which my wife would not do. The food portions were ample I had eggs and ham with pancakes, the pancakes were a bit chewy and lacked flavor, my wife had an omelette with spinach, cheese and mushrooms which my wife stated had no flavor so she asked for a little bit of salsa for a bit more flavor which the waitress provided. When it came time to check out we were Surprised that we had been Charged over 2 dollars for a small saucer of salsa, are you kidding me! And the fact that the waitress made no mention of that when it was requested even after telling them the omelette had no flavor. What restaurant does that kind of stuff. The waitress said there was Hot sauce on the table that could have been used. Wow! Needless to say you only ever get one first impression. Most restaurants would have said our mistake we should have advised you that we charge for salsa at least then we could have declined it and ate the flavorless omelet as is. Only weird thing is the bathroom is outside and you need a key (understandable) but I've noticed a lot of small breakfast cafes have strange bathroom situations. Open everyday for breakfast & lunch and just recently opened for dinner now! Very busy, fast paced and friendly!!!!!!! You seat yourself and sometimes you're gonna have to wait but it moves fast. Besides their menu, they have a small 'Stop Sign' breakfast menu with specials on them along with the daily specials on the walls. A MUST check out place. Family owned and ran! I love Breakfast Stop. They have all the usual breakfast items. What tickles my fancy though is that they have waffles and their coffee is good enough to drink black. The waffles are always perfectly light and crispy. My boyfriend usually orders off the daily specials board and is always happy with what he gets. It is on 22nd just east of Craycroft if you blink you miss it especially if you're not looking for it. It's closer to the Chase Bank on 22nd on the north side of 22nd. It has pretty ample parking space when you walk in you seat yourself at the first available table. With that being said the seating is limited but it has tables, a few booths, and traditional bar seats. The service was good, the best thing was that I ordered a hot chocolate and they brought me water without even asking or making a face when my friend ordered coffee and requested a water as well. They have varied breakfast & lunch meals from traditional American to traditional Mexican. I selected a more traditional Mexican meal: two eggs made to order, refried beans, salsa, tortilla, and your choice of a corn or beef tamale. I ended up receiving the the beef tamale instead of the corn tamale but it was great and once the corn tamale came out I still preferred to beef one. read more

It was good. But I think it's an acquired taste. Place is clean and seating is nice and spaced. Waitress/server was masked. My husband a kids had traditional american breakfasts and enjoyed them my son got a hoot out of his pancakes...they were Mickey but each one was bigger than the other and there were at least 6 . I went out of my comfort zone and had Chilaquiles. I thought they would have meat on them, but they were just covered In sauce and cheese. While they were good, I wouldn't try again. This was our first time visiting. This is a small quaint place that serves breakfast and lunch only. You choose your own seats. Our server was at our table taking drink orders almost immediately. Our usual, coffee and tomato juice. The server was very nice and polite. I had an omelette and the wife ordered sides. Biscuits and gravy and a cup of fruit. Both were very good. Portions are vary generous and prices are reasonable. Between my order and the wife's, the total bill was only $22 and change. This is a very good place and I will be going back. Was driving by and thought I would stop in. The place is incredibly clean inside and very welcoming. The service was super fast and friendly and I haven't seen that much hustle in a long time.
