The wait staff has always been very kind and generally attentive. The food is tasty. Both of my parents really like this restaurant. Dad likes their meatloaf and biscuits and gravy. Mom likes their burgers. I really like their chicken quesadilla. BIG portions and a lot of good salsa. Nice little place with good seating. Decor consists of some interesting pictures. Access to all areas where customers are allowed is easy and unobstructed, even for wheelchairs. Typically not Horribly busy, but they seem to have a consistent amount of custom. So this one satisfied my itch for biscuit and gravy. A nice fluffy biscuit with actually seasoned gravy. Their chicken fried steak was run of the mill. Their hashbrowns were good and plentiful. The Jerry Bob's on East Speedway is rather dated but a nice, basic restaurant that mostly cater to seniors based on my dining experience. The restaurant is only open mornings thru mid afternoon, and offers "all day" breakfast and traditional old-time diner options for lunch. The servings are huge and prices are very reasonable but the decor and seating are drab, and the service was just so so. My meal arrived undercooked and had to be sent back, so they gave it to me half price which was very nice. I would eat there again with my 95-yr old mother since she really enjoys dining there, but I would not eat there again otherwise. read more

First time here. Pretty decent size place and not a typical Jerry Bobs. Different floor plan. They do have a counter, it's hidden if you don't walk around. I didn't see it till I was leaving. I'm always interested in knowing what the building was prior, anyone know? Anyway- it was kind a slow, saw a few folks working. Our server was fabulous, very nice young man. Food was perfect, hot. Prices are typical, average. Place was clean, inviting. There is a special board with a few different deals. I noticed this PARTICULAR location (Speedway) is open Friday nights for dinner & FISH FRY. The place could us an upgrade, but if it's not broken, no need to fix it, right? Only thing that could be an issue is that parking lot. You know what I mean if you've been there. Let me start by saying OMG the ribs were so tender the were coming off the bone AND the were delicious. The catfish was fried perfectly, so so good. Even the salad and coleslaw were good. I even had half a dessert, yes only half. We shared a strawberry short cake that was really good. This was hands down the best meal I've had out here in Tucson. If I was staying longer I would be here again. Oh yeah the staff was really friendly and attentive. We recently went to the Jerry Bob's on Speedway here in Tucson for breakfast. They have a lot of options, but I chose the Square Meal. It was a generous portion of hash browns with bits of onion. Then cubes of ham, all covered with cheese! Two eggs cooked to order, and I chose sourdough toast for my bread option.Very delicious combo. This is a down home comfort food place! We've been there so often I expect to hear someone call out, "Norm!" You get to know the regulars, the servers and each other here - it's a lot like Cheers! Everyone can find something to like here. My most frequently ordered item is the Huevos Garcia w/eggs over easy! But if I'm switching over to a lunch menu, then it is their Patty Melt & Fries. 2-stars for great service. Seriously, Jerry Bob's greatest product is the exemplary service. I had driven by twice a day, five days per week, for two years before noticing the All-You-Can Eat Ribs sign (hint: get a bigger sign). One evening we finally made it in, and no need to look at the menu, I was getting the ribs! They were far from great. Not quite good enough to call them "good". All I could eat was the first order, and at that, it was difficult to eat them. The sauce was lacking, the ribs lacked flavor, and actually tasted as though they had been rinsed off. I'm not sure how that can even happen; they were bland. On the service side, our server was exceptional! I really wish their food deserved a second chance just to be able to experience the great service again. Our waitress was friendly, responsive, not overbearing, met our needs without prompting, and overall amazing. I'd love to be alerted if the ribs recipe changes. Visited for the first time today. My friend ordered eggs, sausage and toast, and I had a half order of biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. My portion was large so I was glad I didn't place a full order. The restaurant was clean and had adequate parking. We were able to seat ourselves and received our drinks and food quickly. The only complaint is we weren't aware we had to take payment to the register. There was a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items so I would like to try it again. I'm gonna let you in on a little secret...I order the Chicken & Dumplings 90% of the time I come here. Chicken and Dumpling Day only happens once a week. Very good local chain. This location is on the east side on Speedway. Usually seat yourself on Sunday (only day I go) and the service is always friendly and prompt. Standard breakfast fare. Check the specials sign on the way in. Located as a separate building in a small strip mall. No real cheap meals, they have better specials at the Golf Links and Kolb location. Went here after the Color Vibe 5k. We were seated outside in the sun. It was quite nice but needs more shade! Hehe. I can't say I am quite a fan because 1) I never really saw the inside of the restaurant but the outside was not bad. 2) I order a waffle and two sausage links. The presentation of the two links were not very appealing but they were good. The Waffle was a good size....I forced myself to finish at least half. I did (not to waste it) but I didn't finish the waffle because it essentially taste like starch. It had a high starch consistency and my friend had the rest of my half and agreed with me. My other friends had one of the omelet and it was pretty big and he said it was pretty good. To me, I thought it was okay but to them, I guess it was great because they licked their plates clean. I just picked up a veggie omelette with hashbrowns with toast and a side of bacon. The omelette was completely burnt through and through. toast seemed extremely old and hard. I'm a big fan of Jerry Bob's because the price is so fair for the quality that you receive. This is true value at it's finest. I've eaten at this location 3 times, and while I prefer the Broadway and Rosemont location for it's speed and friendly service, this location is a close 2nd. I've had the corned beef hash and eggs with grits and toast, as well as the pancakes, the bacon and the biscuits and gravy. The corned beef hash is decent, the eggs not quite as perfect (I like mine over medium), they usually come out a little harder than I like. The toast arrives buttered and I really appreciate that. The pancakes are warm and fluffy, the bacon delicious, and the oj tastes great and is ice cold. The service here is ok. They are pretty good about refills, and relatively friendly. This was my first trip to Jerry Bob's and I was quite impressed. I arrived there at about 9 a.m. and the place was very busy. I thought that I would have to wait for quite some time to be served because of the amount of people in the restaurant. To my surprise, my waitress was at my table in less than two minutes. My breakfast was served about five minutes after I placed my order. I am impressed by the portion sizes of the meals served at Jerry Bob's. I certainly didn't go away hungry. I was also impressed by the cost of the meal. If you go to a chain restaurant in the area you will pay 3 or 4 dollars more for a comparable breakfast. My waitress was a very polite young lady. She was the most polite waitress that I've ever had at any restaurant and my cup of coffee was constantly refilled without having to ask for a refill. Jerry Bob's is a friendly , clean, affordable down home kind of restaurant. I will definitely go back to Jerry Bob's in the future . Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Came in for the fish fry. It was delicious little cat fish nuggets. You get two sides the frys had good seasoning and the slaw was fresh crispy and very yummy. My wife had the fried okra and that was delicious as well. Did i mention it was only 9.99 all you can eat another bonus. This place has never disappointed us. The service was amazing as well. We should have stuck with the breakfast menu, the catfish tasted like it came out of a box and even though my daughter's steak was cooked medium rare as ordered, it had no flavor to it. Came in for a late breakfast. They all are slightly different since they are owned by different people. Never been to this location before, so I was excited to see how this one was. I ordered the chorizo and eggs breakfast plate. Service was nice, and my waitress was the nicest lady ever. Location was simple, and your standard dinner layout. Food came out fast and it was quite tasty. Portion size was nice as well, I was stuffed, and price was perfect for the amount of food I got.
