    Menu (April 2026)

I ordered their banh canh cua which is a vietnamese crab thick noodle soup with crab meat, pork hock, pork blood, shrimp and quail egg special. Writing out what the bowl is supposed to have from the menu description, I actually didn't get any pork blood in my bowl. The noodles were also a little more chewy to my liking - maybe underdone? This dish was okay. It was lacking that strong crab flavor and was kind of watered down. I have tried better banh canh cua and is also from California, so that's why I have higher expectations when it comes to Vietnamese food. This was a decent bowl especially at a food court. The pork hock was also really small and didn't have much meat to it - basically just the fatty skin and bone. I added lemon to the bowl which did make it taste better. The bowl + complimentary chinese doughnuts including tax cost $16.72. I liked how they gave me complimentary chinese dougnuts and tea, wasn't expecting that at all. The chinese doughnuts were good, very light and crispy. The place wasn't bad at all, but also nothing amazing. Maybe next time I will try their signature bun bo hue bowl since that's what their name is known for. Service was quick - bowl came out within 10 minutes. They do take card and apple pay.

I arrived at the restaurant and ordered this dish. I've tried it before, and it's just as good as last time. It's made with fresh ingredients, so I had to wait about 15 minutes (you should call ahead before picking it up). Served with fish sauce and plenty of vegetables on the side.

One of the better banh mi I've had. The meat was flavorful, just wish there was more of it. I really enjoyed the freshness and crunch of the vegetables, in particular the fresh jalapeño.

A quick and easy spot to grab a meal and sit down. It's set up more like a food court, with shared tables and seating for several restaurants inside the Mekong Asian shopping market. Nothing fancy, but convenient and efficient. The food was delicious and really hit the spot!

Previously Hue Gourmet. Most dishes are still the same but price had gone up quite a bit. Banh cuon w/ cha (rice sheet wrap with ground meat) - looks good but taste ok. Not enough basils and the sauce is bland. Bun Mam (fermented fish noodle soup) excellent. Highly recommended Bun thit nuong- vermicelli with bbq pork. Very good. The pork has good lemongrass flavor and very juicy and tender. Very good and highly recommended.

My friend took me here for some really authentic Vietnamese food. It's actually just a stall in the Mekong Plaza food court. She said it's from Central Vietnam. The duck soup was very good. Then she order some other dishes that I have no idea what the names were. But everything was good. I especially liked the shrimp dish that came in 10 little dishes, with fish sauce on the side. The food took a long time to make.

    I. Crave. This. Place. Since I have family in the Scottsdale area, I am fortunate to fly down every 3 or so months to pop over here and eat this soup. It's so creamy. The noodles are homemade. As a gluten free foodie, I can rarely find homemade noodles! Hiding in this soup is quail egg. Shrimp and a very small amount of crab are in this too. The flavor is rich- and comforting. I've been here 4 times now; and each time, the same man takes my order. The owner, perhaps. He's so kind. Service was quick. Those who brought the food out were wearing gloves and masks. This place is located in an open food court. If you don't like noise, or lots of people, probably not for you. And I run cold (temperature wise) so I always have a coat! Already looking forward to next time!

Hue Gourmet is a very solid Vietnamese eatery conveniently nestled in a modest corner of the food court at Mekong Plaza. I had my usual Bun Bo Hue, which did not disappoint. The portion size seems a little larger at other similar restaurants. However, what this place may lack in portion size, it undoubtedly makes up in its great food quality and authenticity. Additionally, the service is quick and the family is very friendly. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Tried the banh beo and banh loc la with a friend and they were not bad!! I wish there was some mung bean on the banh beo but overall texture and flavor were good. Banh loc wasn't bad either, friend said she didn't really like the small dried shrimp since there wasn't much meat and it was mostly shell, but it was good to try! Fish sauce was nice n spicy here to my liking!

Hue Gourmet never disappoints. All their noodle soup dishes are consistent. Fast and polite service. I was hangry when I came, left with a happy and full belly. Had Bun Mang Vit. They recently updated menu.

The Best Vietnamese food in Phoenix!! Service is fast and convenient. All their foods are very authentic and delicious. My favorite are Banh Loc La, Banh Canh Cua and Banh Beo are highly recommended!! Located inside Mekong Plaza food court with plenty of seatings. Large portions at reasonable prices.

This humble small place in the food court of mekong plaza IMO serves up the HOMIEST Vietnamese food in the valley. Nothing flashy, nothing trendy, nothing americanized. Just good well flavored homestyle Vietnamese food. They offer dishes that are very hard to find at other restaurants that primarily specialize in pho or com tam. The staff are very nice and friendly. I am uncertain if it's family run but sometimes service can be a little slow but good things are always worth the wait and patience. It can be easy to overlook this place given all of the dining options available in the area and in the plaza specifically, but do not sleep on this place if you truly want to have AUTHENTIC, traditional, and comforting Vietnamese dishes. I'm so torn because I know if I lived closer to this place, I'd go way too often. But on the same note, I hate being so far away!

    Chicken vermicelli bowl

Met a friend for lunch and decided to grab some food before we shop at the Mekong plaza. I wanted Vietnamese so decided to visit this food court as it had some good selections. I opted for bun ga nuong (chicken vermicelli) bowl. I've had this this many times So know what's good. This was just ok. Nothing special. The chicken didn't taste fresh. For $12 it was not worth it. Quality was bad and small bowl for what I paid. We also got two iced coffees which was over $10! Again, nothing special. I wouldn't recommend this place. The cashier was nice though.

I would definitely go here if you're looking for something new or seeking a rarer dish. They also have VERY generous portion sizing, so it's pretty good value. If you wanted something familiar like pho or rice dishes, I personally feel that other places do them better. I have a family member who went separately who said the banh khot (a rarer dish in the US) they ordered was better than the regular Vietnamese offerings. When my partner I went, service was a little slow and distracted. They currently have the World Cup games playing on the TV for both customers and themselves. I don't mind the fanfare around the excitement for the games, but the waiter did get our food order wrong due to the distraction :( The bussed tables were pretty clean, but a lot of tables were left unbussed for a very long time due to the game too. My partner and I went with the meatball and brisket pho and bun thit nuong (except this one came out wrong and was just bun cha gio). Cyclo's pho style is on the sweeter side. I was a little shocked at how sweet it was. The bowl size is huge and comes with plenty of noodles. They don't skimp. My partner's bun cha gio was okay. Cyclo is a little more special in that they put taro in their cha gio (egg rolls). We personally weren't fans of this, but it is unique. The taro gives the filling a slimier texture. Overall, my partner and I wouldn't return again for the food unless we wanted something more new, but we do love how good value Cyclo is.
