Khaled works wonders. I think my body type is pretty normal for a kinda heavy set guy, but the people who create suits, jackets and other tailored clothes did not have me in mind. Khaled can take a jacket that looks like a mess off the rack, and make it look custom made. I bought an expensive leather jacket and noticed afterwards that the sleeves were too long. There were some big zippers in the way but somehow Khaled made it work. I am very picky and will say that Khaled is the best tailor I have ever worked with, by far. Khaled saved an expensive suit that had been butchered by a department store tailor. I needed the suit on short notice for my son's wedding, which had been rescheduled at the last minute because the covid situation was improving. I had already started to look for a replacement suit. That's not so easy because between what the online sites like Amazon and the pandemic have done to retail, stores carry very little inventory. Khaled made it work and I'm very grateful. I needed five pairs of jeans and slacks tailored at the bottom cuff. I looked up this place, it was close to my home and Khaled was quick to respond and very friendly. Immediately I was suspicious. I thought there was going to be something wrong, like a six week turn around time or an exorbitant price. I was wrong. I came in, he took his time to ensure I knew what the result would be and how it would look, and the price was incredibly fair. It was a short few days to pick up my clothes even though the shop clearly has a lot of customers. The result? Perfect. Despite having different cuts, fits and fabrics, there was not even one imperfection on any of the pants. I know cuff hemming isn't rocket science, but if you've ever gotten a wonky, diagonal result, you know the anguish. I'm going to use Khaled for any tailoring I need in the future. read more

After seeing my first review, the shop reached out to me to see what they could do do improve the experience I'd had. Since my chief complaint was the surprisingly high price, they were interested in renegotiating the price, so I went back into the shop. We discussed the breakdown in our communications that had led to the issue, and ultimately settled on a price of $85. Though this is at the high end of quotes for the same work from other tailors in the area, the shop does good work, and I wanted to be fair given my own role in the miscommunications that led to my issues with the shop. So, I'm giving back two stars for the shop's follow-through and desire to please their customers. read more

I picked up my tailoring yesterday. This was the first time I used PP Tailoring. I was very impressed. Not only did he give me a good deal he did an amazing job! He is friendly also. I like him. He made me feel comfortable when he was measuring my pant leg and dresses. I will go back to PP Tailoring. I love this Tailor! He is so kind, has a perfect changing room and is ready to take any measurements. Zero stars would be better! First of all, he lost one of my dresses the first time I went. I decided to give him another chance. I took three dresses in to be hemmed. I told him I needed ONE of them (showed him which one) in 4 days. He promised it would be ready. It was not ready when I went in on the agreed upon date. He literally refused to give me my clothes back!! I had to argue with him and plead to give me my things, told him I do not want him to touch the other garments. He asked to give him a chance and he would do the ONE dress I needed in a few hours. I said ok. Yes, it was done.....and it was $100. I took the other two dresses to Regal Cleaners, where the delightful tailor working there did the remaining two dresses for $23 each. read more

Khalid is kind, patient, professional, and very skilled. He has done two complicated alterations for me in the last 2 months (a suiting dress and pants). He meticulously pinned the items on my body, showing me different options for how to re-design my garments. He executed what I had envisioned (but had difficulty articulating) perfectly and completely transformed my previously ill-fitting workwear into pieces that are some of my favorites. I needed a dress hemmed for a wedding last minute and took it here after taking it to a place on Wilshire where they did a horrible job. Not only did Qaisi fix the mistakes of the other tailor, he altered the entire dress to fit my body perfectly and even improved some of the original sewing. Not only did he do amazing work, but he was also extremely nice. He is a true artist and puts an extraordinary amount of attention and focus into his work. I read about this tailor in the paper and was eager to take 2 simple items there to check him out. I brought one pair of high end but simple black pants that needed a slight nip at the hips, and one trendy dress that needed simple hemming. My bad that I didn't request a quote, because I assumed (never do it!) it would be max $20 each based on previous visits to other tailors. Imagine my surprise when I pick up the items and was asked to pay $90!!! Seriously?! Like other reviews, he pointed out the difficulty of working with 2 fabrics on the dress (which cost all of $50 BTW), which is pretty much the reason for going to a tailor! If it were easy, I'd do it myself. Oof... So, if you like paying silly prices for competent work, go on in. The sign of a great tailor is excellent work at FAIR prices. Just got a pair of tux pants taken in after many years of wearing one baggy. Other alternative was to buy a new tux. I was skeptical that it would be done right, but then again had nothing to lose. First try out, nailed it. I've always used him for hems, but he can do much more. Parking is a little tricky during the work week with all the soccer moms in the Palisades, but that's the only downside for me. read more

Khalid is extremely professional, and explains options for how something can/should be altered. If you end up needing something quickly, he does everything to accommodate you.
