I explained the nuance & what I was looking for, and next appointment it was perfect. They also advised PERFECTLY on the length, the train, and the bustle. These guys know their stuff. In addition to their craft, their turnarounds and prices are incredible - that's what bumped them from "excellent" to "rave about them to friends" in my book. I was able to book my appointment same week, the first turnaround was one month, and the second turnaround (which was no additional cost) was another week. They also quoted me about 1/3 of what an experienced, luxury wedding dress alterations specialist quoted me. After finally replacing my comfy flare leg leggings with a brand that fit me in the hips, I needed the flowing excess trailing behind my ankles to be shortened and hemmed. Turning to Yelp, I reached out to several tailors for quotes, and though Santos was not the lowest, he was the most conveniently located of the requests that responded to me. I brought my 4 pairs in without an appointment on a Wednesday, and Santos took the measurements. We agreed to a pick up day and time for the upcoming Sunday around noon. Got a dress hemmed and the straps shortened! Total cost was $85, but the work was well done, and with great customer service!

I took in a blazer to get dry cleaned. They quoted me $12.75 which is okay for a blazer. I don't dry clean much but didn't want to risk ruining it because it's a mix of cotton, viscose, and wool. I got it back a few days later and it's okay. There's still some discoloration on the collar which I had specifically pointed out, which was a disappointment. Also, it's wrinkly and not fully pressed. I paid with an AMEX card and it came out to $13.20. The guy didn't even give me a receipt, I just got the notification that my card got charged $13.20. It would have been nice to let me know they're charging an additional 3% fee because I used AMEX. I could have paid with a different card. It's not a lot of money but it's the principle. read more

First I have to say that I have used the service here at Santo's Tailor Shop twice, and the service both time were Fantastic. I purchased a wrong size dress from a website and needed an alteration to make it fit. The dress was too small, too long and the sleeves are too wide. All 3 things cost me reasonable price as it is a pleated dress. It takes more work to alter. I tried it on the first time and it was a little uncomfortable but I took it home anyway. Life is busy and thought it would be fine. Tried it on again a week before the event and it need to be let out more. I contacted the shop and they were graciously worked on the dress again, and it fit perfectly. The amazing part was, they didn't charge more to do the work a second time. The best experience for me is how nice and gentle the people are here at Santo's Tailor Shop. They are so welcoming and make you feel comfortable. Have used them in the past and never had a terrible experience (not amazing but not terrible) I took a handful of sweaters and clothes to get dry cleaned and tailored last month. Everything came out well except for one sweater - I got it back and the sleeves were still slightly damp and had this insane BO order coming from all over the sweater. I left it in my room to air hang to get the stench out but it was too strong that I went back and asked for them to re dry clean it. It came back and the stench is still so pungent although the sleeves were more throughly cleaned - I can't believe how badly it smells and I'll probably need to take it to another dry cleaner just to get the odor out... my clothes never have had this kind of smell before and it feels like all the leftover stench of other clothes from the cleaners transferred over to this sweater. Very disappointed in this and won't be coming back based on this experience. read more

Had a wonderful experience with this shop! They were very quick to respond to my messages. All the workers there were extremely kind. The process was very easy. I brought my bridesmaid dress in, they had me try it on with my shoes, and then I was able to pick up within 5 business days. I called around to see what would be the cheapest (but quality) tailor in the area. I believe this shop's prices are very reasonable. Of course, all tailoring will vary by item (you can bring your item in for a quote) but here is my price breakdown. I requested my bridesmaid dress to be hemmed. Size small. The dress had two layers (the inner layer was shorter). Hemming of both layers was $65. If I had only needed the outer layer hemmed, it would have been $50. Very pleased with the result as well! I found sweet Santos on Yelp. I was desperate to find someone to fix the zipper on my favorite jumpsuit. One person quoted me $65, the other $50 and that's only if I bring the zipper in since it was a 22-23 inch zipper and no one has it in stock. After finding a zipper on Amazon for about $10 I decided to use Yelp to seek out a reputable tailor. I came a cross Santos and he charged me $25 (check into Yelp and save 10%) which made be super happy!!!
