I went here yesterday and we were seated and we didn't get our meal after like 2 hours it was not fun and I was starving but our waitress was so sweet I really liked her. The food was good overall but just okay to me I got the Salmon handroll and salmon sashimi the fish was so so so fresh but my handroll wasn't good despite the fresh fish the rice was hard and the seaweed was making it so hard to bite I literally had to tug. Excellent drinks , food and wait stuff, went there for our 46 wedding anniversary dinner. Was not disappointed, food was served hot and fresh tasting. The chef came to our table, to congratulate us. The broth for the ramen was one of the most lackluster and boring broths I have ever put it in my mouth. Ordered the dumplings and the filling was firm and condensed, odd texture but the ponzu it was swimming in was fantastic. A real insult to Asian foods. The only decent thing they got right was the sushi and ramen. But this "ramen pad Thai" menu item really urked me. I don't understand how you can fuse those two dishes. It didn't have the signature flavor of either independent dish. It was more like yakisoba that you buy premade at an Asian market. Extremely disappointing. Also please explain to me how slamming rice, chicken, cucumber, and peanut sauce into a bowl constitutes a Cambodian dish. I have a disdain for any asian fusion restaurants because they lack true creativity and cohesion. This is coming from someone who grew up in Japan and the Philippines with all kinds of East and Southeast Asian Foods. Khon's was a little smaller than expected. But the food and service were great! We started with the spring rolls, Krab Rangoon, and edamame. We loved all 3! The spring rolls were crispy, the rangoons were creamy, and the edamame was salty. We tried the lychee martini and Mojo. The first lychee martini was good but we ordered another one and it did not come out the same. The Mojo was delicious. It's their take on a mojito so if you like mojitos you will like it! For entrees, we got the house ramen, the worx, the surf n turf, salmon nigiri, and salmon hand roll. Everything was fresh and delish. The one downside was that the food took forever, but I think they try to bring out everything at once if possible. Khons is a great sushi spot if you're on near Palafox. read more

They were really understaffed when we visited on a Tuesday night, unfortunately. We didn't blame our server, since she was apparently taking care of all the tables inside and outside as well. But, we waited over an hour after placing our orders, and we got our main dishes before we got the appetizers. First visit to this restaurant. It's your typical size for downtown and the inside was cutely decorated (including Halloween). A lot of reviews mention the wait time, which we had no issue with. I must state we were there late, though, around 8:30pm with just a few guests at a table or bar. The tables were quickly cleaned when we arrived and we had water and first round of drinks within 5-10 mins. Overall the food was good. We ordered beef short ribs with kimchi and they were decent. Expected a little more flavor but the Kimchi took it to the next level . The house ramen had so much flavor and I added the steak for an additional fee. Worth it! They were very accommodating, as I didn't want the shrimp (not allergic just preference). Unfortunately they ran out of ramen so we substituted with Udon. Good just the same and again, we were there later in the night. My mom enjoyed the fried rice. I would return for the ramen and maybe try a new item from their menu. I've been looking forward to trying Khon's since I've been seeing amazing pics on Yelp, but it was a disappointing outing this time around. It was a typical busy Saturday on Palafox and we were able to be seated by the window, which was fun for people watching (like being in a fishbowl). We tried to order miso soup to start with but they were out - tuna nachos were also out, so we opted for egg drop soup. The soup was not good. Bland and very viscous, just not right even with a ton of soy sauce added. The rest of our food took quite a while to come out - the people that sat down right before us ordered, ate and left before we got the rest of our food. The sushi rolls (shrimp tempura and Dela Cruisin) were ho-hum and the Udon stir-fry was overpowered by too much fish sauce. All around, not a great experience. The service was a little slow, but overall friendly and we got what we needed and we were sitting out on the patio on a beautiful day so it wasn't too bad waiting on things. There were several outside diners today enjoying the weather. Io I ordered the Pad thai fried chicken wings. They were sprinkled with cilantro, toasted garlic and peanuts while coated in spicy sauce. There were six wings / drumlets per order. I also ordered the spicy chili shrimp with grilled peppers and rice. The quantity of food was generous and very tasty. They also took time with presenting the food in a very appetizing way. The wings were packed with flavor, large in size and unique with a great flavor profile. It was a great choice that I would recommend. My only issue with the wings was how many times I had to lick my fingers so I would not miss any of the incredible sauce. The fried shrimp with rice was also not overwhelming with the spice level. Neither dish was over sauced and nicely done. I would loved to have tried the dumplings and sushi rolls but was already stuffed with good food. I had thought about ordering a small salad until the waitress advised me that the servings were generous and might be to much food. They ran out of Bok Choy so they subbed with extra shrimp, I personally don't eat shrimp a lot but it still made the ramen really good. I really enjoyed the green monster,my husband thought the chicken and rice had a really good balance in flavor and serving was plenty. Our server was really sweet and nice but service was a bit slow. Wife and I came in for dinner while on vacation. Destiny served us and she was amazing! Super friendly, conversational, was always there ready with refills, and had a great smile along with a pleasant attitude. The staff were also very considerate and checked in on us regularly. The food was absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the edamame with chili and lime, which we do not regret cause it was super flavorful with a hint of spice. We also got the Banh Mi Slider which were nice and juicy. My wife ordered the Dragon roll and the Worx, which we will definitely be getting again when we come back. My husband and I tried this place a few weeks back. Small cute clean spot. We ordered the duck rolls, ramen and a roll. Our food took very very long but was good. Portions are on the smaller side. Our server was a very nice gal. We had a good date night the only issue was how long the food took. Today we decided to go again. We walked in there was several people dining but several open tables. We were greeted right away and sat down. We decided on food, ordered and were asked if we wanted our appetizers first. We said yes! About 5min later the dumplings came out. let me tell you! They were so good. I was so happy keep telling my husband how happy I was to get some good food after a day of fun In the sun. But then, nothing came...not even our water. My husband eventually got his beer but we had to remind the gal about my water. We waited and waited, finally his ramen came out. He waited for me to get my food, the gal came over and asked me if had gotten my food even though there was no food in front of me. She said it would be right out. I ended up eating a little of my husband's ramen because he refused to eat unless I ate and his food was getting cold I felt bad cuz he's a hard working man. Our server came back yet again and said my food was coming. By this point we are almost done with the ramen and she came back yet again to tell me "sorry they lost your ticket" WhATtt!!!! I asked how long it would take for my food, she checked with the kitchen and told me about 10min... we still had not gotten our other appetizer. . She did tell me "I can offer you some free edamame. I'm sorry what? You offer me the cheapest thing on The menu!?!? We told her no thank you we will just get the check and head out. We had to wait again for her to get the manager to void out the items we never got. We again waited and waited eventually she came back with our check. Not even a lousy 10% discount on the items we did order and receive. She just said sorry about your food. The reason I gave two stars is because the food is good. The only time I'd recommend this place is if you are not very hungry and have time to kill. Because you can work up and appetite while you wait. I did see the table behind us they too looked flustered and hungry. I did not see any food on their table and it looked like they were getting ready to walk out. Ok so I REALLY wanted to love this place. Truly. I will say that the staff is AMAZING. Attentive, personable and just plain awesomeness. The menu is diverse. Plenty of great options to choose from. However the sushi was very underwhelming. The rice was undercooked and there wasn't a lot of flavor to it. My daughter had the pad Thai ramen and didn't eat a lot of it. I will say- my expectations on Asian food are pretty high being Asian myself and from a very Asian rich area I have to say Asian food is somewhat lacking overall in the area. Concerned We Have been eating at Kohns for many years and During our previous visit discovered a noticeable change in quality and quantity of food. In addition, it just didn't feel the same. We were looking for the owners friendly social visits with clientele and asking about our meal, however, sadly they were nowhere to be found. As far as servers are concerned, The gentleman behind the counter was not friendly at all of which was very odd and not the norm but the Waitress was friendly though not very attentive. We tried a special cocktail and it tasted horrible. Tried to send it back at no charge but they were not having it at all. I was Really shocked that they took a hard stance on this and not wanting a happy customer who is paying good money for a meal. Unfortunately, we were forced to take the price of the drink off the waitress tip. Owners rule cost the waitress a tip. I hope ownership has not changed hands. There is a concern for me that Kohns quality may deteriorate through time. Food quality and freshness etc... We will try visiting one more time to see if they can recapture the previous feel, friendliness and quality. I will also continue to be on notice for any future health related violations such as unwanted pests and cleanliness. I hope we are not losing one of our favorite places to eat. read more

I will start off by saying the service was nothing to brag about. This was one of the first places I tried when I first came Pensacola. Since then I have been back several times. Each time just as amazing as the last. The staff is always very nice and polite. Inside is a little small but I have been lucky and always get a table. Very modern atmosphere which is what I like most about it. There is also seating outside which is also nice so you can enjoy the downtown vibe and the beautiful weather. Food is of course amazing. One of my favorite things about this place is the fact they have a dedicated menu for vegans. I did not know this on my first visit. I asked if a dish was safe for vegans and the server said "oh would you like to see our vegan menu?" She was very nice about it and gave me a few more minutes so I can pick a new dish. All you have to do is ask for one. They have noodles, sushi, and so much more suitable for vegans so you won't be board getting the same thing over and over. No matter what you get it is going to be delicious. Honestly, this is probably my favorite spot on Palafox. read more
