We went to Brother Fox Sister Hen to finally celebrate my retirement from the U.S. Navy and it was a wonderful choice for the occasion. We had an early reservation with a show afterward and were greeted promptly, seated quickly, and given menus right away. Our server was very friendly and did a great job walking us through the specials without feeling rushed. The pacing of the meal was spot on. I ordered the fish special, which had an excellent portion size and great presentation. My wife went with the low country shrimp boil and really enjoyed it. As a thoughtful surprise, Brother Fox brought out a plate of churros to help celebrate the retirement, which was a very nice and unexpected touch. Overall, a very nice place with great service, solid food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended if you are in Pensacola

We brought our neice in for her birthday on St Patty's day. Server was Paige she sweet and kept our drinks coming. Food was delicious as always. Clean fun environment. We waited over an hour for our entrees. We were ok talking and relaxing but it was a bit long. Our neice ordered the lava cake and they brought her that and complementary churros for her birthday which was a sweet touch.

The foods good, but just not great. I had the Octopus and the smallest part of the tentacle was completely burnt. I probably would have cut that off and not served it. The tentacle was chewy and even fatty at parts. It might have been slight overcooked. It's just not the best seafood based on what else is in the area. Potatoes were crispy and sauce was good. The salad was good. Personally I'm not sure I'd return for the food. Service was fine. They didn't have any kids coloring books or sheets which wasn't ideal but did have high chairs. It's dimly lit perfect for a date night. Maybe not a spot to bring small children.

We came here for a date night last night and enjoyed ourselves! The raspberry foam gin drink is DELICIOUS. The inside was cute, I appreciated the dim ambiance, and the outdoor seating will be amazing once the weather cools down. Everything we had and shared was good! We also checked out the speakeasy after and the mezcal cocktails were on point. Can't wait to come back!

Came in just for appetizers and just ordered one of everything. I think the least impressive was the olives. I know traditionally they come with pits in them and that just made it more difficult to eat. The Shishido peppers were kind of a miss as well, kind of soft and soggy. The aioli was a nice touch but provided not much flavor. Our favorite dish of the whole evening was the octopus with the mojo verde sauce. The mojo verde actually kicked the peppers up a notch. The mushroom tartar was also a great surprise lots of flavor and impressive presentation. Inside was nice and clean, and our server was good at bringing out each plate in a timely manner as not to overwhelm the table.

First of all thankyou to the staff who were so kind and knowledgeable. Dalton was great at the bar. We had delicious cocktails- espresso martini and nectar of gods. The Pan con tomato and chargrilled salad were delicious. The main courses were not bad - they were ok. Beautiful environment- might stop by again.

    Valentines Special

As always we had a wonderful evening at Brother Fox. We booked for Valentine's Day and it was still intimate and great service despite the holiday. The drinks were tasty and strong. The Valentines special of the tomahawk for 2 was delicious and tender. You must get the albondigas, if they are still on the menu! Also, Megan is a star of a server and provided the best experience!

Came here last night in a special 11/11 father daughter date night. Everything was up to par. Since we're there to chat and talk life we weren't in a rush. But the food did come out a little slow so do go there super hungry. We ordered the pallela and pork chop. Both delicious. Topped it off last with bread pudding. The only thing I would say is that our booth and table faced everyone else in the restaurant so not much privacy there. That made the night somewhat awkward.

Ladies, we love a clean bathroom. This was very clean.

Our first time dining at Brother Fox. We had been hearing good things about it. We made a reservation & appeared early. So we sat at entrance inside watching the employees set the tables. We ordered the happy hour Marinated Olives, Pan Con Tomate, Shishitos, Gambas Al Ajillo & a 2X2 Charcuterie and ended up ordering another Pan Con Tomate w/ Anchovies. The olives were good and the regular order of Pan Con Tomate was delicious. We also tried another order with anchovies. Not our thing so we removed those little fishes. The charcuterie board had 4 slices of Spanish Chorizo, a piece of prosciutto (looked like maybe two pieces, two different cheeses, almonds & few blueberries and strawberries and one large Caper sliced into. It was good but it lacked a jam or sauce. For $36 I expected a fuller charcuterie board. I would not order the board again. So the one item that left me wanting more was the Pan Con Tomate. It was absolutely delicious. We may go back to taste the Carne Asada. It was a relaxing dinner and our server Emily V was very nice and helpful when it came to ordering. She knew the menu and that's worth a star on its own. Overall it was a great dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. Now headed to Sister Hen.

We visited today for Sunday brunch as I've been wanting to come for a while but we do not do dinner out very much any more at all and Sunday brunch is the only noon-time option here. For a restaurant built into the low ceiling, lower floor of a historic building this is very nicely, enjoyably and attractively done. Impressive. My wife had the shrimp tacos which she loved, but which she thought could be elevated with a complimentary sauce of some sort or another. Though I have been burned out on Shrimp and Grits for years now, I went with it today thanks to the reviews here on Yelp and our server's recommendation. I was not disappointed. This is a really unique and enjoyable rendering of this dish. The chorizo spiced sauce is quite tasty and the six large shrimp were perfectly cooked. It is hard to judge the flavor of the cheese grits for all the sauce that covers the dish. I would love to see this dish plated with the shrimp layered over the bed of grits and the sauce ladled over one side of the shrimp so the grits on the other side are sauce-free. Both my Tanqueray martini and after meal smoked Old Fashioned were superbly poured. Really well done. Our server, Bre, was delightful and perfectly attentive. We're going to have to make the effort to visit for dinner so we can delve into that menu's offerings.

I'm giving a 5 star. We had a big party to accommodate. She was wonderful so was the manager. I wish I could remember there names. There was one little mishap with the food. Which to me was ok. Considering we had such a big group. They was very apologetic and ended up making up for it. Me and my husband cannot wait to come back. The atmosphere was amazing. Just a good time in general one of the best dinners we've had in a long time. Make sure you try the oysters they are Ahhhmazing!!

Where do I even begin?…read more We had our wedding at Garden & Grain this weekend and it was absolutely flawless. I have to start with the most important parts of our day which were Cara & Jadyn, our event coordinators and Nick & Jesse, our bartenders. Cara and Jadyn were literal earth-movers and magic makers. These two helped us get everything decorated and torn down with absolute ease (and we had an awful lot of decor we brought in.) By the time we moved into the ceremony, Jadyn was everywhere ensuring we started when we were ready, the guests were ready for us to enter, and just made us feel so at ease. We heard from so many guests that they didn't even realize the chairs got moved from the garden into the grainhouse between because it was so fast and flawlessly executed. These folks were so stealthy bringing 75 chairs between different spaces. Bravo. Our caterer was just arriving as we were about the walk the aisle. We had no idea the chaos that was ensuing behind the scenes that Jadyn and the team worked out as quickly as possible and without our guests even recognizing there was a delay in the start time of the food service. Obviously catering is a huge part of the day, and it would have been so stressful had we realized they were 30+ minutes behind. The execution of our wedding could not have happened flat out without these two wonderful people. We are so grateful for you both, Cara and Jadyn. You deserve all the praise in the world and are absolutely amazing event coordinators. Oh, and Jadyn, thanks for never letting us have a drink less than half full - your impeccable attention to detail is what every event coordinator should strive for. Now, the other critical aspect to a wedding is bar service. Nick and Jesse had those drinks flowing non stop all night. There was never a guest waiting in line or without a drink from before the ceremony to last moments. Our guests were complimenting all night on how amazing the bar service was. We are a family with one side from New Orleans, we know how to party and going into it with 2 bartenders for 75 people who know how to have a good time was an anxiety for us, but there was not a single mishap in the bar service and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our guests or us. Not to mention, every time I looked at Nick or Jesse, they were both smiling and so happy to be there with us - it meant a lot to feel like your vendors were a part of your wedding. The space lent itself so naturally to our ceremony and reception. It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and just 100% our vibe. Our guests also complimented all night on what a cool venue we had. If you're thinking about booking an event, particularly a wedding here, don't hesitate. There's not a dang thing I would change about Garden & Grain, Perfect Plain and the people they had assisting us and our guests throughout the event. Being able to look back and see how smoothly things ran is every Bride's dream, and without a doubt you will have the same experience that we did here. Thank you G & G/Perfect Plain/Perennial Hospitality for the amazing experience on our wedding date. You have no idea what this meant to us. It means even more to feel that you guys actually enjoyed being there with us. Pat yourselves on the back and know that you are shining examples of what a wedding venue is supposed to operate like. Cheers to you guys, thank you once again for everything!
