    21. Chicken Satay Lunch Special $11.95
    Crizelda I.

We ordered the on the grill chicken lunch special for $11.95 each. It came with steamed rice , soup or salad plus an eggroll.. The bbq chicken was half a chicken so it's a lot but it is smothered with sauce so there's no difference between that and the teriyaki chicken. The chicken satay came with four sticks and a cucumber salad sauce and also peanut sauce. The free soup was made of tofu and veggies. It's kind of blend for my taste so we just added some fish sauce and it was OK. The free eggroll was crunchy, but hardly anything inside. We ordered to go, but you can also dine in if you want. Maybe we'll do that when we get the sizzling seafood special. Our order was ready to go when we got there. It's a small place. Nothing fancy nothing romantic but it's good for lunch. We love Thai food, We would try the noodles and soup next time.

    Chicken Pad Thai

Did a pickup order for the favorite pad Thai with chicken. Service was fast before I even got there and their Thai milk tea is amazing. Highly recommend.

It's a tiny little place. We ordered chicken satay, pad Thai and bbq pork ribs. The satay was good. The ribs were a mixed bag- some moist & fatty, some dry and tough. The pad Thai was heavy, orange and too sweet. Service was good.

House Special Butter Sauce Dinner Special with beef
    Peter M.

Here's the story of how I found this hidden gem. Several years ago, I had heard that Khun Moo Thai was a favorite of students attending CSUN. So, I gave it a try and was impressed. They have a vast menu that delivers in a small dining in space. This is a warm mom and pop eatery that does a tremendous job. I went back again and this time too, ordered their combo butter sauce special with beef for carry out. I asked for it spicy. It was hardly medium, but they obliged to my request of supplying thai chilies with fish sauce & chili oil. Both of these condiments enhanced the dish. Beef is battered before it is stir fried. Was chewy, maybe because it was a carry out. It also lacked any sauce. The combo comes with fried rice, wonton, egg roll and vegetable soup. Overall the preparation was good. Need to go back to taste other interesting items from their menu.

I purchased the red curry with white rice. I was extremely disappointed. Food was flavorless. Curry tasted like water..

Really good Thai food. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Great for delivery also. I particularly like the garlic chicken.

The food was outstanding extremely bold flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. The Pad Thai I ordered had that ideal sweet-tangy depth, the curry was rich and comforting, and the appetizers disappeared for way too fast. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it's doing. Service was on point friendly, quick, and attentive without hovering to much, The staff made great recommendations and really added to the experience. The vibe is warm and inviting, not overly fancy but still feels like a place you'd bring friends or even a date. Solid energy all around. If you're looking for high-quality Thai food with great flavor and service to match, this place is 100% worth trying. Definitely coming back to explore more of the menu.

For a fraction of the cost of most other fast casual food, it's tasty and the portions are very big. Not to mention they don't skimp on the protein in their dishes. Our usual go-to includes Pad See Ew with Chicken and BBQ Pork fried rice. But quite honestly we've never had a bad meal here. ALSO, as I've noted before -- great plastic forks. Not those flimsy ones that snap.

We were so hungry for Thai food and ordered about 3-4 items. Spoiler alert, we could not finish everything but it was all so good and delicious!!! I complemented my meal with a small Thai iced tea and it had a great blend with strong taste of their condensed milk. The plates were all so delicious and so good. I wanted beef jerky, a dish I always order from thai restaurants but I couldn't find it on the menu. Luckily there was such a thing when I ordered!!! The beef jerky was chewy and not super hard when I bit it. The meat was good quality, it was a bit like steak to be honest!!! The fried rice was also just regular order but it was so tasty, buttery, and yummy. I loved the honey roasted ribs because it was so tender and flavorful. The panang curry was also super super good. I don't usually enjoy curry like that because it gets too spicy but the mild level was perfect for my taste buds and so good and creamy with the chicken we ordered for it. The white rice it came with would be doused with the curry sauce/stew and it would just be an amazing combo of flavors!!!! I would definitely recommend this spot, and would be excited to come back here for more for even hangouts with friends.

Green and red bell peppers were flash sautéed with crunchiness, and onion slices caramelized with a touch of crispness, flecks of crushed red chiles. 2) Mi Krob: Towering Mound of thin rice noodles quick fried for crispy puffiness tossed in a sweet chile, thickened sauce. Fried dry Tōfu, bits of airy fried egg, pieces of shrimp, chopped green onions, red bellpepper slices, refreshingly watery crunchy bean sprouts. 3) Angel Wings: Pleasantly light, crunchy Panko Japanese bread crumb coating. The chicken meat filling in the deboned chicken wing is ultra puréed to the point it's a solid, gummy pâté where you can't distinguish the different ingredients. Cubed Cucumber sweet, acidic vinegar sauce, and sweet, thickened Thai chile sauce are the accompaniments. . 4) Pad Si Yu: Mostly similar ingredients as the Pad Ki Mao but without the aromatic Thai basil, and a sweet soy sauce is used for touch of fermented earthiness. Florets of al dente broccoli. To me, the flavours are duller than the exemplary Pad Ki Mao. Main dining room along with covered back patio seating. Wide window to view what's happening in the kitchen for tables near the front entrance. Good overall Thai food. 4- stars

If I go back to recall one of the first Thai restaurants I had visited when I settled in the SFV,…read moreit would be Thai Bamboo. This is another eatery that has stood the test of time. That alone should tell you that the only way that can happen is that the food got to be good. And yes, it always has been. That is a feather in the cap to the Chefs. They have a wide menu with numerous selections and mouth watering pictures of their dishes. In the good old days, I used to come here for dinner. Now, it is more for lunch. This way, I get their wonton, soup and salad too. The salad has too much peanut dressing (I think it is sauce) and I should have remembered. It destroys the salad. This time the soup was served luke warm and was diluted. The main dish, Pad Prik Khing with Beef was a knockout. The beans were well cooked and soaked, like the tender beef slices, in a thick and spicy (I asked for that) gravy. The aroma, the Thai spices, the taste was exotic. I once again, thoroughly enjoyed this dish with the steamed rice. Another memorable visit to Thai Bamboo.

Some of my favorites are the simple appetizers, such as: Chicken Satay skewers ($13.95), Crispy Chicken Wings ($11.95) and the Fresh Spring Rolls ($11.95). Some of the main entrees are good and have gotten pricy over time and today's economy. Service is always kinda lacking. One of my orders, through Yelp (sends it to DoorDash) and took over 45 minutes to get -as my order was placed right before the restaurant opened for lunch. Another time, I arrived with 15-30 minutes to closing, over-tipped (more than 20%) and service wouldn't let us (a friend and I) finish watching the last, ending 5-ish minutes of a Laker game happening on TV there. Casual, decent interior. Parking is a bit hectic cause of all the Tesla charging going on and other businesses, but at the least -it's free parking.
