Shots are the same price as cocktails, and when asked why there was no reason. Just because. If that's your vibe, this is your place!!!!

One of the most delicious meals I've had on Rosemary Beach!…read more We had 8pm dinner reservations for a party of 5 on a Friday night. Right when we arrived, we were walked to our table, which was a booth and was plenty of room for the 5 of us. When we were walking to our table, I noticed how nice this restaurant was! The ambiance was on point. Very nice but not too nice. Our waiter immediately addressed us when we sat down and gave us his recommendations for drinks. I decided on the peach Paloma spritz. It was delicious and well presented. Others in my party got red wine, a French 75 and the market ranch water. I thought mine was the most delicious lol. Before we ordered our appetizers, the waiter was so beyond knowledgeable about the whole menu. Gave us all of the specials like nothing I have ever heard before. He was so great! For our appetizers, we got the bread butter candle, smoked fish dip, and the burrata salad. The bread butter candle was the best thing I've ever had! It was so cool and very unique. I absolutely loved the burrata salad, but I thought the fish dip was a tad too fishy for me. For our entrees, most of the table got the red fish and the other two got the steak and the pasta. We all devoured the red fish! It was so delicious and a good portion. Others in my pastry weren't fans of the pasta, but the steak was one of the best I've ever tasted. From the service to the food to the ambiance, this place is one of my favorites I've ever dined at! I can't wait to come back!

Only place open later, everything winds down around 9 pm. There is also an entertainment fee, which was new to us, and you'll be charged even if you're not really there for the entertainment, is about 2$ no biggie but good to know. We went back at a different time expecting more food options, but instead found more of a lounge vibe with a live DJ and drinks. If you're looking for "late dinner" like 9-10 , it's worth a visit, but the experience can vary depending on when you go. Friday sat they have a live dj.

We had a party of about 15 people, and while the evening had some bright spots, it unfortunately didn't live up to what we had hoped would be a memorable celebration. Earlier that morning, we called and made a reservation for our large group. Later in the day, we called back simply to confirm that a high chair would be available for one of the babies in our party, only to be told that there wasn't a reservation under our name. It was a stressful start, especially with such a large group to coordinate. Thankfully, when we arrived, the staff was able to accommodate us with outdoor seating, and we were grateful they found a way to fit us in. Our server was kind, and I understand that serving a party our size isn't easy. That said, service throughout the meal was quite slow, and there were several mix ups. Some guests waited a long time for drinks, a few orders were missed initially, and it took quite a while before everyone had their meals. The cocktails, however, were excellent. Our table ordered espresso martinis, margaritas, and several other drinks, and those were definitely a highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment for our group. The appetizer portions were much smaller than we expected, and overall, most of us weren't particularly impressed with the quality of our meals. Considering we were celebrating such a special occasion, we had hoped the food would be just as memorable as the setting. Proper is in a beautiful location, and I do appreciate that the staff was ultimately able to accommodate our large party after the reservation mix up. Based on our experience, though, I think this is probably a better spot for drinks and a couple of small bites than it is for a large celebratory dinner. While I'm glad we gave it a try, I don't think it's a place we'll be returning to.

Let's start with what was outstanding. Service: 5/5. Our server, Matthew, was excellent. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and did a great job guiding us toward the restaurant's popular dishes and local favorites. He made the experience much better. Atmosphere: Absolutely beautiful. The ambiance is energetic and lively. There was so much excitement, conversation, and laughter throughout the restaurant that you couldn't help but feel the energy. It's definitely a fun place to spend an evening. Now, the food: * Fried Grouper: 3.7/5. The fish itself was good, but the tartar sauce tasted more like chopped boiled egg than tartar sauce and was pretty flavorless. The fries, however, were outstanding--an easy 5/5. Still, you don't come to a restaurant like this just for the fries. * Blazing Saddle Sushi: 4/5. Enjoyable and one of the better items we ordered. * Oceanside Roll: 2.5/5. It had a very strong fishy taste that just wasn't for us. * Crispy Rice: We had heard this was one of the restaurant's signature items, but unfortunately it was surprisingly flavorless. * Rocking Shrimp: This was our biggest disappointment. It arrived only slightly warm. We asked if it could be remade, and while they gladly took it back, it seemed like the shrimp were simply tossed quickly in warmed sauce and reserved again rather than being freshly prepared. We'd give it a 2/5. Ironically, the flavor itself was actually good--it just wasn't served the way it should have been. Overall, they have a unique menu, and I appreciate that they're trying to do something different with sushi. If you're a sushi lover, it's worth trying at least once because everyone has different tastes, and you may absolutely love it. For us, though, it was a one-and-done experience. Great service, beautiful atmosphere, but the food just didn't consistently deliver enough for us to come back.

My wife and I met her colleagues at the bar multiple times while I also ate breakfast at 1936 twice. Some of the staff were helpful and others didn't seem like they wanted to be there during breakfast. The food was all-around good. At the same time, the bar staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. They were familiar with the obscure cocktail requests that my friend made without referencing a recipe book. Special thanks to Dulce and Benjamin at the bar!! The breakfast menu at 1936 includes Light Start items, Chef's Sunrise Specials, The Southern Griddle items, a Kids' Menu, and side dishes. On both days, my guest and I each ordered an Inn Breakfast consisting of two eggs cooked to your preference, Applewood smoked bacon, Logan Turnpike grits or breakfast potatoes, and biscuit or toast. My first day, I ordered toast along with bacon and breakfast potatoes with two eggs scrambled. The second day, I ordered a biscuit with breakfast potatoes with fruit instead of bacon. Everything was tasty! 1936 is open for Camp Creek Inn guests along with WaterSound Club members to enjoy its lounge and bar. It was named for the company's founding year and considers itself to offer an elevated yet warm and comfortable bar and relaxed lounge. It is considered to be the ideal place to gather for lighter fare and happy hour in the evening. 1936 is open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM. The bar is open until 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. Visit the 1936 website at https://watersoundclub.com/dining/1936 to see a gallery of images of 1936 along with the various menus. They have a breakfast menu (7-10:30 AM daily), a lunch and dinner menu, a drink menu, and a Golf Course Grab 'N Go menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're at the Camp Creek Inn!
