My girlfriend and I found everything to simply be fine. Hipster vibes and menu selection, which isn't really our thing. So others might love it. I got a burger and girlfriend got the chicken sandwich; we both preferred the chicken sandwich. She got the quinao-stuffed avocado on the side, which is a little misleading because it's basically a regular salad with half an avocado buried under it. I had polenta with mine and it was fine. Service was spotty. After he took our order we didn't see him the rest of the night and had to get someone else to get us our check. Excellent!!! It was late and we wanted something a little lighter. Love they have fresh not frozen or fried things... I had the rotisserie chicken.... So good!!!! We went to yelp looking for a vegan restaurant. And found this one. We are so happy we went and tried it out the food was amazing. I had the vegan mac & cheese my husband had the lamb burger since he is not vegan. And we shared the stuffed quinoa avocados those were so good. I give this establishment a five star. Pleasantly surprised a casual with just the right upscale dining experience! Had the Euros with authentic grilled leg of lamb. Incredible. Outstanding. Delicious. Laid back. I'm having lunch here right now and I'm so genuinely pleased with the service, the food, and the effective ceiling fans on the patio that I'm leaving a review while shoveling (free surprise!!) sorbet into my face. I ordered the vegan gyro, with the chipotle sauce on the side and a little bit of tzatziki sauce on the side but the hummus on the gyro was so good that I didn't even bother to try either of the sauces (sorry for making extra work + extra waste) but holy smokes. I really could not be any happier. It seems like this restaurant in particular is doing a really good job with Covid awareness, too. The tables are far apart and currently they seem to be seating every other table anyway. And to think I was going to go somewhere else and have pasta for lunch then be miserable all afternoon... so glad I found this spot instead. This is the best happy hour in Charleston. We have a family of 5 with vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians and they accommodated all of them! They also have the best ambiance and service. We have been here twice now and it has been exceptional each time. From walking in and being seated by a great host, to the great service by Michael, to the kind manager Kelly who checked on us. One server came up about to ask for help and she rolled her eyes at me when I came up to ask if we could be helped. Took another 5 mins and Cadence the hostess finally came up to sit us. We went for 7:30 and they only had customers at five other tables. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and we were told we had to order our dinner now because the kitchen was closing an hour early. My beyond burger was just ok and my wife was very unhappy with her quinoa stuffed avocado salad. Her cocktail had to be repaired because they didn't add any pineapple juice. I was instantly greeted by the server asking what I wanted to drink. I was told the Happy Hour specials, but told her I needed a second to decide. Well about 10 min passed and she still didn't return. Around that time my friend showed up. It had now been about 15 minutes from initial greeting and I still wasn't able to order a drink. I finally flagged her down and ordered my drink. The food was good. I had the portobello mushroom gyro with chips. It was a bit spicy, but very delicious. The chips were amazing. My friend has a couple food allergies, so this was a good place to to take her since there are a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. The server knew the menu pretty well and what was in each dish to ensure there was nothing harmful in them. Overall, the minus the initial service issues, it was good and I'll be back. read more
