On a whim, took the Fat Tuesday trip out here, because I heard great things about their Paczkis. Thankfully, Yelp/Google maps got me there just fine. Waited almost an hour (they passed out samples of paczkis & snoogles) in a good-humoured line. Worth it. The paczki are VERY good. This is a traditional Polish bakery, so you can have plain, prune, apricot, poppy, rose. No custard, chocolate, etc. Intrigued, I tried the rose, and it's really a "jelly" filling with faint rose water notes (tastier than this sounds). Snoogles are the bomb. Get those. read more

What can you say about kiedrowskis that hasn't already been said? I'll keep coming back for the snugle and try something new along with it for each visit. This week I tried the cinnamon tie, a maple bar filled with creme, and a maple glazed buttermilk ring donut. The ring donut won, but placed a close second to the snugle. read more

Great food items and always has stuff in stock. I've been to some other local bakeries and most places don't bother making a lot and have nothing on their shelves by noon, but Kiedrowski's makes stuff all day and keeps well stocked. I've never had a bad item from Kiedrowski's and always end up getting a snoogle when i'm there. No complaints, best bakery i've been to in this area. read more

I don't really know how I am going to write this to convey my feelings about this bakery without offending anyone. I will keep it short. I bring cash to this bakery. I usually bring ten dollars. You will want to bring more if you want to buy a bread. I really enjoy their roasted garlic bread. It has great tasting garlic cloves baked into it. I love garlic, so I love the bread. I just also recently found out that they are home to the Snoogle-tm. My wife and I were picking up treats for our family movie day and they had a tray of a sample. It looked like a danish cheesecake, but I really wanted chocolate. We looked around at what we were interested in. The thing about the bakery is that they have a small selection, but it's always being rotated. You won't find the same things on display every couple of trips, so this time I had decided I was going to get the elephant ear. I had been eyeing it for a while and it was available this day. While we were waiting, my wife decided to take a sample of the cheesecake. She took one bite and said you have to try this. I didn't want the danish (I have missed out on some of the smaller things in life by refusing and usually in the end I would regret it. This time I wanted to make the right choice.). I took a bite. It wasn't a danish cheesecake...it was a Snoogle...I am still waiting to try that elepahnt ear, but if it never happens I will still have my Snoogle. I was just their yesterday (they are closed on Mondays, the time of operation for Monday read Monday-Dark) to pick up a Snoogle for desert that night. I also purchased other items (no elephant ear on display.) to enjoy. Everyone knew that the deserts were for dinner...my wife said so. When we got home we only had two pastries left out of five, but I made sure to take a bite of one of them just in-case it wasn't available by dinner time. The bakery is small and the price can be a little high. For a long strip of Snoogle I believe it's two dollars and seventy-five cents. So it can add up pretty quick. But then again it's kind of cheap if you think about it. You can't get this for a dollar at any store. I am glad it is not cheap, otherwise I would visit everyday for daily desert. I have never been to Kiedrowski's propper. I have tasted their goods at their Jamies flea market stand many times. However last time I went I was looking at the case I noticed a dead roach in the corner. I told the pimple faced punk and he said that they are all over and that they try to kill them all! I almost vomited on the display case thinking about last weeks kruller. I dont know about the main location, honestly dont want too. There were many appealing items to choose from starting at $1 to $5. The service was upsetting. I was with my parents, along with one other customer who was being helped with by someone else. When it was my turn to order I took a few minutes to debate and the woman who was helping us began to huff and puff, mind you there was only one other customer in the store. I still purchased the baked goods giving it the benefit of the doubt due to the poor service. To my surprise they were mediocre for their appearance. The service and quality was a let down. Best bakery around. I'm here a couple times a month for doughnuts, but usually end up getting a snoogle or five while I'm there too. I made a large (250+) order of doughnuts for my wedding, as well as a cutting cake and anniversary cake. They delivered to the venue and helped set up!! Doughnuts are way better and cheaper than cupcakes, a great alternative if you're looking for something different. read more

The snoogle is unique and excellent, but a bit pricey to be honest. If you are there, try it for sure. Don't ask them to cut it or they will charge you $5. Tried a bunch of other baked goods, but they are all fairly mediocre. Servers' attitude is not always the best. Hands-down the best bakery in northern Ohio and I believe quite possibly the tri-state area. They go so far beyond what is delicious that it blows my mind! The maple bacon cream sticks are my absolute favorite but coming in at a close second are the snoogles. I did have a bourbon pecan pie that they made and it was so wonderfully delicious, you could really taste the bourbon and also the caramelized pecans. read more

This is a nice, award winning, family bakery. Everything I've had there has been good. The apple fritters are my personal favorite, but they have donuts, cakes, etc. They have this thing called a snoogle also... it's no apple fritter, but it's very good. We've been customers of Kiedrowskis bakery for over 25 years... Sadly they have gone down hill. We went in today to pick up a cake and asked if a couple of flowers could please be added to the cake. At first we were told the cake decorator was gone. Then two minutes later the cake decorator came from the back and told us she was there, but she would not be able to add two flowers to the cake, because if every customer did that she would never get any work done. We told her we were more than happy to pay for the extra work, but yet she rudely refused. There were two customers in the bakery on of which was my husband and myself. In the time it took to have the conversation with her the work could have been finished. What ever happened to good customer service? Does Kiedrowski's not realize our money spends just as easily at the bakery down the street as it does there? Shame to see arrogance has become the main ingredient at Kiedrowski's Bakery! read more

I have one word for you "snoogles", trying a snoogle is worth the trip alone. This is a delicious, flaky, buttery, cream cheese piece of heaven. Visiting Kiedrowskis is a special event for our family. It's not your normal run of the mill bakery. Everything they sell there is over the top amazing. Have gone here a bunch of times. Snoogles are great so has everything else I have had there. Cream horns are my favorite as the cream inside has been mixed enough that the sugar has been blended in so it is nice and smooth.i don't care for cake, pie guy, but my wife bought a small white cake there, I don't bake either, but this cake was good. I had two pieces. Someone else ate the rest. Cake Is not over powered with sweet frosting and had just the right combination of the two. Only issue I have is it's 40 miles away and we don't get there until later in the day, usually on our way back from Cleveland. Recommend them! read more

I have been going to Kiedrowskis since 1985. Until recently I thought their products were outstanding. But lately it seems as though the quality has been spiraling downward. Over the past 6 months when I would pick up their glazed croissants or Snuggles it was hit and miss. This morning I stopped in at 6:00 AM when they opened to purchase a dozen croissants. I was waiting in the parking lot when they opened the door. I went in and immediately could tell the croissants were not fresh, they had not been made that morning. In fact all the donuts in the cases as well as the Snuggles looked as though they had been made a day ahead. I purchased croissants against my better judgement and as I expected they were far from the quality product they used to provide. I would have given them the benefit of doubt had this been the first time I experienced this, but it wasn't. It seems that this is becoming their norm. Sadly next time I need a dozen donuts or pastries to take to everyone I will be going to Dunkin Donuts. I truly miss the old Kiedrowski's and their exceptional products. read more

Horrible experience... I went there was told one person per household I understand but no one was behind us and only few in front and both of us were buying pies for Mother's Day and paying separate. Girl at door didn't care and only let 1 in. I was annoyed and said my feelings on issue.. look ahead of me and checking out is 2 people together, Older mother daughter. I pointed at them and looked at her she just rolled her eyes. Then I look behind me and another mother daughter combo was in. I made a joke with them about how they snuck in and they laughed and said "yeah I saw that lady give you a hard time but let us in, she stated I was confused too" we were laughing when the door girl comes up and yells and pointing at the mom/daughter " ok now one of you can go sit in the car since she (pointing to me) has such a huge problem with you both being in her. That was not necessary as both of us had a laugh about it. When I got up to window lady's were very helpful and pleasant. I voiced my concern how it was handled and asked who manager was. At this moment the door girl comes up crossed her hand glaring at me. The girls at counter didnt say anything. So I'm assuming this young girl must have been a family member, says if you have a problem then you are banned and we don't want to see you back ever! For that door girl to yell across the store that I'm the reason that one of them had to go to the car was super inappropriate and could have started way more problems. If you have rules and follow them and be fair then there are no issues. But for us paying separate to be kicked out while she lets 2 couples in before and after me is just insane! None of my family or friends will be going back I don't care how yummy the pies are and they are good. Rudeness and bad customer services trumps that read more

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement! My friends and I ordered a birthday cake for a 50th birthday party. The birthday girls daughter and I researched all kinds of cake and found the perfect one. She sent pictures of the cake to Kiedrowskis with a few changes we wanted Red frosting and no bow. We were very excited to choose this bakery from all the wonderful things we'd read on line and who doesn't love a snoogle from Jamies. Imagine how disappointed we were when we got to the party location and saw what was delivered. First of all it looks nothing like what we expected or paid $125 for. That frosting is NOT red. I'm not sure where the extra cake came from or why but it's not attractive at all. I was still hopeful it would taste amazing. But it did not live up to expectations at all. The chocolate raspberry w.as dry. And the Barvarian cream had very little flavor. We'll stick to snoogles and Donuts from now on. read more

Very disappointed! When I met with the cake decorator we discussed what my daughter's graduation cake should look like in detail. Plus I emailed pictures showing them exactly what She wanted. So when I picked the cake up it looked nothing like she wanted, they designed it the way they wanted. She was very upset about it. And to top it all off they didn't have a proper box for me to transport the cake it. So very sad and disappointed! Will not be going back. read more

Kiedrowski's Bakery on the border between Lorain and Amherst is a great bakery. It's located in a strip mall and is right near route 2. The space is cramped, but it's worth it. On the walls, there are some old family photos as well as various pieces of memorabilia. They serve a variety of things such as cakes, pies, and donuts. Because I went the weekend before Fat Tuesday, I picked up some paczkis as well as a couple of donuts to take home. So far, I've only had one paczki. It was an apricot one and it was unbelievable. It was soft and fluffy, stuffed with apricot filling, and topped with powdered sugar. I loved it! Overall, if you're having a sugar craving, Kiedrowski's Bakery is the place to go. read more

Well worth the 45 minute drive from Cleveland--just hop on 90 West to Rte 2 West and exit at Route 58 Amherst. The croissant donuts are the best, out of this world. Can't go wrong with the snoogles. Make sure to get there early as they usually sell out of their bestsellers. A dog, a pig, and a minister go into a bakery. They tell the counter woman they hear this is the best bakery in the nation. The pig buys paczkis, the dog buys kolaches and of course the minister buys bread. They all try a snoogle. Turns out the joke was on them. The paczkis were dry and heavy, the kolaches were dry and hard with tasteless filling, the bread was nothing special. Save yourself a long trip but if in the area and you like a squeezed overglazed cheese danish, try the snoogle. read more

This place is hidden in a strip mall with a ton of other restaurants, but I'm surprised this place isn't better known. Their snoogles (?) are to die for and they have tons of random polish pastries that you can stuff your face with. This is an essentially useless review because I can't remember or spell the names of most of what I got, but suffice it to say that I ordered one of everything and I ate all of it and was happy. One of their desserts, which was an overstuffed something or other (layers of cake, jam, and frosting) was essentially diabetes on a plate, but definitely worth the spike to my blood sugar. I'd recommend stopping by and just trying things out. They don't really have inside seating, so it's not a great stop and eat place, but it is a good order and go home so nobody can witness you eating a bakery box by yourself place. read more

The chocolate eclairs are pure heaven. I live 2 hours away and make sure to stop in and grab some. Them I treasure them like they are gold.
