Kik Basil Located on Pacific Ave right before Ben Holt. In Stockton, CA Here's our story: It was Taco Tuesday, I was thinking outside of the box.. I saw this truck on Instagram stories and Kik Basil has been on yer bOi VD's bucket list for a minute. Follow them @kikbasil on IG My eldest daughter and yours truly wanted to mix things up a bit. We normally just order food from the same truck. But I only ordered here. I was checking out what they had, now it's been a minute since I had Thai food. And it's been another minute, since I had lemon grass chicken. So that's what I went with. We got there like literally closing time. But the guy who took my order was cool and I appreciate that a lot. Awesome customer service. Kik Basil takes card and cash. We paid with card and the guy working, I should have asked his name . Told us to wait in the car and he'll bring it to us. The wait time for the food wasn't long at all. My daughter was chilling in my car and I was just waiting outside in front of my car and he brought out the food. He told me "Since they are closing and I was the last customer" "He added some extra chicken" I was like hell yeah I'm my head. So I thanked him. Serious that was hella cool. The lemon grass chicken rice place was straight legit. It was packed with the extra chicken. I couldn't finish everything. So I dropped the rest off to my Mama and she loved it too. So yeah I'm definitely a fan. Sincerely...VD "Enjoying the simple things in life" "Life is beautiful"

The best pad thai in all of stockton. I've gone to every place that serves a pad thai dish and let me tell you... this place is the one! The people there are always friendly and service is speedy :) even better than calling in, you can text them your order how cool is that? Would recommend their panang too.

First time trying Kik Basil and the food was amazing. The food was authentic and every bite was flavorful. You do get your money's worth with the amount of food you get. Kik Basil exceeded my expectations and is now my favorite Thai restaurant/food truck in town. Customer service was great, they were nice and very helpful with the menu! I will definitely come back and try different items. Try the Thai tea also, you won't regret it!

The service. The food. The price. The hygiene. They have it all down to a 5 star rating. Can't go wrong with this place. Hope they turn in to a restaurant soon.

I have been supporting this place ever since we used to live in the area, and recently we returned for dinner. The prices are still super affordable, and the portion sizes are good for what you pay. I got the shrimp pad kee mao and my husband got the beef pad Thai. $14 for a shrimp dish in this economy? And $12 for other proteins? An absolute steal. I chose medium spicy for both, since I knew their medium spicy isn't very spicy. Both dishes didn't take very long to arrive. The flavors were just as solid as I remembered. My husband loved his pad Thai too, especially since he loves tamarind, and Royal Siam serves their pad Thai with stronger notes of tamarind. Do note that they also use thin noodles here for their pad Thai. My noodles were perfectly bouncy and soaked up all the delicious sauce without being soggy. My pad kee mao came with 6 pieces of juicy, deveined shrimp with the tail still on. Our waters were constantly refilled, and even though it was a quiet evening with only another couple dining in (it was also pretty late), our server was very thankful for us coming in. I'm glad that even after all these years, Royal Siam continues to serve delicious Thai food in Stockton. We shall continue to support them for the years to come whenever we're in the area and craving Thai food.

We were seated quickly, and the waitress took our order, but after that the service completely went downhill. While we waited, three other tables came in after us. We received our drinks, but then watched as the tables next to us were served their food before us -- even though they arrived later. After waiting over 30 minutes, I politely asked the waitress what the issue was. Her response was that there were "a lot of things going on" and that we would just have to wait our turn. At that point, my coworkers and I decided to leave. It doesn't matter how good the food may be if the customer service is that poor. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant, the service was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this restaurant, especially during lunchtime. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I would say their level 3 spice for the laap can get pretty spicy -- it's a slow heat that creeps up on you as you continue eating. One thing I'd ask for next time is some lemon or lime, as I like my laap a bit more tangy. They make their sausages in-house, and while they were good, I think they could be a bit larger considering the price, along with a touch more salt for a more savory flavor. I asked my granddaughter was it me or did she think the crab fried rice tasted different and she said yes. I noticed it last time I got it and brought it home.
