This is my family s local ramen spot. The boss lady is very fond of my boy because she says he does not behave like a 13yrs but rather a 31 yrs always polite and gentleman-like. My son always orders the same things, Karaage, pork belly bao and tonkatsu ramen and never eats corns and ground pork floating in the rich broth in it. He says he does not want to cause the lady doubt her cooking is less than perfect lol. Instead he packs it back to home. He does enjoys the pork belly buns every time. Today's fat/lean ration on the pork belly is a bit off. The flavor remains tasty however. The Karaage is somewhat dry. Not sure is because different coating used or over cooked. Came here for dinner with friends after the movies while in Glen Cove.. Kiko Ramen was recommended and right across the street ad up the block. Hadn't notice before but it was convenient. Fairly new as it has only been opened around a year. Beverages - soda, fresh strawberry lemonade was good, tried the lychee soju (it was ok). I'm used to another lychee soju. Appetizers - decided to share pork gyoza and Tatsuta Age. The breading was Tatsuta Age was light and was good to share - very filling and came highly recommended from our server. For dinner, had the Grilled Eel Don, Ribeye donburi, and Tonkotsu ramen. A surprising find in Glen Cove, I stopped by after looking for ramen spots in the area and was not disappointed! The server was very nice and provided edamame as a tasty appetizer. NYC is known for great quality ramen, but Kiko Ramen can match that quality! The spicy miso ramen was very good with very generous portions. The sho yu ramen is milder and better for a safe choice or for someone who's never tried ramen before. Our pork buns were steamed well, I wish the pork was a bit crispier it's just a preference of mine. if the pork buns had a bit of slaw or pickled veggies on top it would have been a good addition but otherwise I would definitely order it again. Our server was attentive even though he was busy. The portions were very generous, we had to take home some leftovers from our ramen. Sooo excited to finally have a ramen spot that delivers flavors that remind me of Queens. The neri ramen was perfectly spicy and you can add toppings as you wish. The chushu pork was super flavorful. The egg was also well balanced. The eel don was a great dinner option for those that love eel. The take out containers were a large size, we were already off to a good start. There was a deluge of rain the first time we went to Kiko Ramen. It was absolutely pouring buckets. We are from out of town, were visiting family in the hospital all day and were hungry. We ran inside, dripping wet and cold. Our server was an absolute angel and brought us all hot tea immediately . The ramen and appetizers were amazing!
