My husband and I stopped here for a bite to eat. I was intrigued by their menu variety and uniqueness. My husband ordered the peanut butter pickle burger. It basically allows everyone to experience pregnancy cravings (or so I heard). My husband enjoyed the burger but said it got too sweet towards the end. I ordered the Fun Guy burger without cheese on a lettuce wrap. Overall a solid burger. Note, the place has very greasy floors which I had seen a few people slide around. The South Salem location was clean and staff were friendly and efficient. I got my food to go, but the inside was way too noisy to be comfortable eating there- the acoustics are horrible. The food was disappointing- the classic burger was over cooked and way too salty. I do like my salt, but no need to add extra salt to burger when you already have bacon and pickles. The onion rings were crispy, but just so so. The price for the lunch box was good. read more

When you guys first opened I used to come in weekly, sometimes multiple times a week. My wife and I had a bit of an unpleasant experience about three years ago and this was my first time back. The burger quality is what I remember it to be, nice portion and great taste. This is where my accolades cease because one of the things that I used to love about your establishment was that you guys offered fries with your burgers without having to do à la cart. For $3.50 I decided to get the fries because I remembered the quality of your fries to be good. Unfortunately, the basket I received had 15 fries. When I asked if this was the equivalent of an order fries, the lady said yes in a very non-caring manner. Amazing burgers!! Cooked perfectly and would go again. Only downside is that the inside of the restaurant isn't very clean and feels a bit dirty compared to other locations. There was grease everywhere on the tables, windows, napkins, condiments, food on the floor, etc. read more

Let me begin by saying week after my visit I was refunded for this order. That being said, their actual response is late, just like their food. I wasn't going to mention how our food was incorrect but I will now. The burgers were supposed to have bacon on them but instead each burger had 1 slice of cold bacon randomly thrown into the fries. It was very obvious they saw the burgers were wrong and instead of fixing it they said frack this shite and threw a slimy piece of bacon into the fries. One burger was burned. Not a little over done but straight up charcoal hockey puck burned. Until this late (and possibly canned) response, I could have chalked up this all to a bad day at Killer Burger and given them a second chance and possibly a better review. This response however, makes me wonder if there aren't bigger problems at Killer Burger that start at the top and rolls downhill to customers. I won't be giving them another chance. read more

These burgers were really good! We had to wait about 40 minutes due to the printer breaking and the cooks not knowing but it was actually worth the wait! So I wasn't displeased. I went with two other people and we each got a burger (no bacon) and subbing the vegan hearty hemp patty which is a great meatless option! I loved the fries and all the sauces. So many recommendations from Portlanders for these burgers that I had to try it. I was staying at a hotel in downtown Portland and wanted to order dinner in because I had a long day of flying and just wanted to relax in my room. I looked at various ways to order a burger from Killer Burger and decided to go the UberEats way, which saved me a few dollars. I ordered the original size Bender burger with fries. It took about 30 minutes to get my meal and it came from a bicyclist who had to ride in the rain and who (as he told me as he dropped off my burger) got caught up with another delivery and an issue with that other restaurant. I felt bad for him and excused the delivery of a warm, not hot, burger and fries. Thank goodness I travel with a HotLogic which I used to warm up the burger and fries. It worked but I had to wait another 20 minutes to eat. The burger: This burger was very tasty and cooked perfectly. It had bacon, crispy jalapeños, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, their house sauce, and cheddar cheese. They didn't skimp on their toppings and the combination of it all was delicious! I also appreciated all the sauces. I do like saucy things! I ordered fries to go with it and they were good, not excellent, and there weren't very many. For the price I paid for the fries I don't think the value was there. I'm not sure I would order the fries again. The burger, however, was great! Next time I will walk there (in the daylight because the area is a bit questionable for a single, woman traveler) and try another burger hot off the grill. So we went to this pumpkin patch corn maize. Had never been to one before had no idea how tall corn gets but anyway, the baby fell asleep so we decided to go eat downtown. Checked around for a hamburger place with gluten free buns and Killer Burger had been recommended in the past so we went. Baby woke up at some point so she got to try her first bit of burger and she got real lucky cause it was a damn good burger. Of course now everything we feed her gets a very sour look and often a squeal as if she were judging us for eating anything but Killer Burger. update: place has really gone downhill fast. third time in a row they had no dr pepper and their attitude is always "yeah whatever you paid for the soda f--- off". worse still, today when i ordered a gluten free bun they gave me a regular one. i have celiac. it messes up your immune system and causes horrific stomach pain. at least to me i cant vouch for anyone elses experience. any case right now i kinda hope i die soon cause the pain is too much. not going to killer burger ever again. read more

Well I'm all for trying unique flavor combinations and it's much better than it sounds. The peanut butter is really sweet and surprisingly pairs well with the sourness of the pickles. The beef patty was cooked well and the burger was easy to bite into. Overall it was tasty but the sweetness of the peanut butter was a bit overwhelming. The fries were quite good too. It was relatively easy to walk to from my hotel and walking around downtown Portland is always a treat. Killer has two areas, the restaurant and then the bar area. I opted to plop down and setup shop in the bar area where I was instantly greeted by one laid back, cool ass bar tender. He directed me to the short but solid beer list. I ordered a Portland red ale and then got to order the goods, the burger! That is what I came for. Killer burger has fresh cut fries. Hand cut fresh fries. They are absolutely the way a French fry should be made and were chronic all by itself. Those killer fries come with each and every burger they dish out. For my burger I chose the Teemah which has bacon, melted & crumbled Bleu cheese, house sauce, grilled onion and pickle. I wasn't quite sure about the pickle and almost left it off but in the end I was really glad I ate it just the way it comes. The pickle was crisp and gave a nice contrast to the decadent cheesiness of the rest of the burger. It was damn good and every bit Killer! Do not hesitate to hit this establishment up. If you are in the mood for a great burger then this is your joint! I will be back anytime I go out to Portland as I now have a jones for Killer burgers! read more

I'm a huge cheeseburger fan so the last time I was craving a nice burger I found Killer Burger on Yelp and with the tons of great reviews I knew I needed to give it a try. You can order online for delivery/pickup and can even just call in during this time. I kept it classic with a bacon cheeseburger and the side of fries (sad I didn't get to enjoy the bottomless fries for dine in :( ) The burger was HUGE. 1/3 beef patty, thick slices of bacon and melty cheesy goodness all sandwiched within a thick bun that held up well. Even without unlimited fries I was stuffed at the end of my meal. I probably could have even saved half for later if I had any self control. haha We also opted to try the cheeseburger with peanut butter and pickles... I know... doesn't sound like it would work but surprisingly the salty and pickled flavors went well together. Got to give it to Killer Burger for making stacked burgers at an affordable price point for the portion sizes. I'd order from here again to try one of their other burger combos. read more

This place is very casual with some seating but not a lot. The place was recommended to us by a Lyft driver and it was a good recommendation. They have a variety of hamburgers but all come with bacon (the Purist comes with bacon on the side). I had the Teemah which had blue cheese fondue with crumbles, grilled onions, house sauce and pickle (almost all come with pickle). The wait was very very long so if you are in hurry, skip it. The burger was cooked nicely. The taste was very good. It got pretty sloppy after a few bites so grab a fork if you can. You order at the counter and the order will be brought to your table but you have to help yourself to napkins, utensils and condiments. If you like burgers especially with bacon and have plenty of time to wait you may enjoy this place. read more

Honestly a really good burger. Coming from Montana (the home of fresh beef & incredible burgers), I was really happy with the burger I ordered. I got the classic & switched my cheese to cheddar. Burger was the perfect size, patty had perfect thickness, and it came with all of the classic toppings + a good burger sauce. The fries were also phenomenal, exactly what I was craving. The menu has album options if you're looking for experimental burgers & there's an array of beers on tap. Indoor there are a good amount of tables, along with picnic tables along the outside. This place is located across the street from a lot of food trucks. We had order some food and was looking for a place to eat it. Killer Burger has some benches outside so we figured if we ordered a beer, they won't kick us out. As it turns out, one of the guys that works here, owns one of the food trucks across the street. No only did they not kick us out, they offered us extra napkins. After that, we went inside to check out their HH. People here are super nice, actually, people in Oregon are super nice in general. $5 drinks for HH and they weren't water down. I had the Purple Rain, I really liked it. Friend had the Maneater, she said it was good, just sweeter than she would like it. She doesn't like sweet drinks. I had the Motley Que burger and my wife had the spicy crispy chicken sandwich. Not were so darn good! The fries were also really good and since they were made to order it was fresh out the oil and delicious. The bacon on the burger was also perfectly crunchy and they give you a lot so every bite had bacon and I'm a bacon guy I will be back here again soon because I really wanna try some of the other burgers, the menu is pretty set up for whatever a burger fan likes and they have a nice beer menu. Sadly the bar area was closed so I would like to come back when they are open for a late night burger and a shot or two. 10/10 would recommend for a good burger in downtown Portland!! read more

They have a full service bar which is a nice sit down to have a burger and a drink, and the service was attentive and efficient. We had the mushroom and swiss fondue burger. As it states, the swiss is like melted fondue dip. It was good, but it was a little too much for me as I was unable to actually taste the burger itself. I walked to Killer Burger from my office after work today, and I was rewarded with an outstanding taste and service experience. This Portland Gem is located at the corner of SW 3rd and SW washington. The decor is nothing over the top. It's very casual, you seat yourself, grab a menu and stand in line to order. The menu is pretty easy to read. I ordered a burger called the Bender. It was awesome! All burgers come with fries at no additional charge. The gentleman at the register was very personable and efficient. I ordered a bottled water and he directed me to free water at the self- serve fountain drink machine. For those of you who would a beer or another kind of drink with your burger, their is a full bar available for your enjoyment. I don't drink alcohol, but a cranberry juice on the rocks with a weg of lemon and lime are my drink of choice. I went to the bar to order one, and the bartender took care of me at no charge. This is a place I would highly recommend when you are in Portland. read more

I grab my slop burger to wipe my tears of frustration and your stupid fondue sauce made me feel slightly better, like finding out your boyfriend only cheated 10 times with the same girl instead of 1 x with 10 girls.......am I still angry? I have a 30 minute lunch......it took them THIRTY SIX MINUTES to make two small burgers. They have this completely stupid kitchen system where they let 5 or more like tickets pile up, they hang the tickets in a line and begin the most painful version of an assembly line I have ever seen. It doesn't matter if your burgers could be ready right now, they are in the line, and must wait until EVERY burger in the line has its toppings before they begin putting patties on anything. I am too angry to even eat at this point. I have to stay late at work to make up for my lost lunch time, didn't get to eat and quite frankly......your building smells like urine, it is overwhelming and you cant blame that on downtown.
