Joe was wonderful and gave me a great wash and blow out. He managed to do a really full smooth blow out with minimal heat and product which I really appreciated. More so, he was extremely kind and friendly and knew his craft well. I loved how my hair turned out and really appreciated my experience with him. I've come here several times for cuts and balayage. Their pricing is very reasonable. The shop is clean, plays good music, is stylish and has huge windows so you don't feel claustrophobic. The stylists I've had did an amazing job (Liz, Kyung) so when I booked appointments it would be based on availability. That said, this last session with Rose was so revelatory the angels sang, trees danced and for the first time in my life I didn't want to go home and restyle my blowout. The blending and toning is immaculate and every highlight chunk is perfectly placed. She's a fine artist who paints with thought and intention to what looks best on you! Called for a haircut and style and they said they had availability. When I got to the salon, they only had my down for a haircut and the stylist they recommended didn't have time for a style. I was stressing because I needed the style more than the haircut but luckily someone else was able to take me. While I had a great time in the shop and my hair looked great styled, I after a wash I realized it looks insane unstyled. I asked for a few inches off but still keeping my layers. There's a parking lot in the complex but it was full when I arrived around 5:30 on a Thursday. Theres plenty of street parking though. I wanted to share my experience with René so others know what to expect. My first haircut with her was amazing. She was warm, talented, and easy to talk to, so I trusted her completely when she said we could get my dark hair to lavender in two sessions. The first lightening took seven hours and cost about $700. Not only did My hair end up ashy with indigo tones in the front (as you can see in picture) but she also made me wait a whole hour during my appointment since she was dealing with another client. She said we were on track, so I came back for the second session. That time, my roots turned platinum but the rest was uneven and patchy blonde (video and photo). She didn't apply the lavender color and instead handed it to me to use at home. She told me to mix a little bit of the lavender with conditioner. That did NOT work at all. The lavender did not show. After paying over $1,100 total, my hair was nowhere near the goal. When I brought up my concerns, her messages became extremely defensive and blamed my old black dye. I later spoke with other colorists who said the unevenness was from how the bleach was applied, not the previous dye. I don't want to ruin anyone's career, but I do want to be honest. René is great with haircuts, but when it comes to color corrections or transformations, my experience felt manipulative and overpriced. If you book with her, make sure everything about cost and results is clear before you start. read more

Alright haircut, Price Discrepancy, Awkward Scenario I had an appointment with Renee, and not only did she cancel on me twice, but she promised something "extra special" and "extra love" for my appointment, due to the circumstance. I assumed this would be a discount, or maybe a free item. I received neither. I was actually charged $5 EXTRA than the amount I booked. I knew she didn't forget either, because we discussed the cancellations during the appointment. Although the cut was fine, she was very personal and detailed when making conversation about herself, which some might find that inappropriate. I'm easy going so I wasn't exactly offended but it definitely felt a little strange given it was the first time having an appointment with her. Definitely was disappointed though given no discount or anything after the multiple cancellations on her end. I understand things happen if life that we can't control, but it still was inconvenient. Regardless, haircut itself was fine. Not like I walked out looking ridiculous; just a odd experience. This is the only place in the area that offers cuts under $100, that's not a large chain company. From the hair washing with superb head rub to lovely conversation you can tell he has the skill that comes from years of doing what he loves. I can usually be in the chair for 2 or 3 hours because of my thick hair but he gave me a wash, styled trim, and perfect blowout in less than an hour. My hair do hero for real. I loved getting my hair cut and balayaged here with Mona!! I got my first cut in February 2024, and it was by far my favorite haircut I'd ever gotten. Most haircuts I'd gotten previously felt like they become "regular" by the one month mark, but Mona's haircut felt fresh and fun for several months after. I'm sure the other stylists are great, but if you choose to schedule with Mona, beware... Made an appointment and arrived to the appointment on time. Mona was busy with another client and said to wait a bit. I didn't mind as it seemed like they were almost done. 33 minutes later the other client begins to get out of her seat. I just stood up and left. Don't waste my time. She then proceeds to call me, and I say that I don't have time for a haircut anymore and to just cancel it. She hangs up on me while I'm mid-sentence. This was also supposed to be my second time with Mona. The first time she shamed my hair and told me it was super dry and not to wash it every day, when I workout every day, and I don't want to put a dirty head on my pillow.
