Doesn't look like munch because it's kind of hidden in the corner but this place is absolutely tasty!! The customer service was on point and took the time to explain to me the process and thanked me for ordering with them today. Customer service goes along ways. Ordered regular size bow with all the toppings and a medium drink. Came out to around $20. The amount of fresh salmon and ahi tuna was worth every penny! Everything was fresh and rice was warm. Plus! Then the poke food combination just melted in my mouth which was another plus! Wow!! Must try if you haven't already!! read more

Been here a few times now and it never disappoints. I didn't think I'd find a place so legit for poke in Bakersfield. Fish and veggies are super fresh. Employees are fast and friendly. My visit this week was the first time I tried the Poke Cup size. Normally I get the Poke Bowl, but I usually can't finish it. Surprisingly, I didn't find the Cup much smaller than the Bowl... I was satisfied by the amount relative to the reduction in price. It was probably about 75% the amount of food of the Bowl or more. My dad and I ate here while stopping through Bakersfield on our way to LA for lunch, and we had never tried Poke before. At first, the menu didn't look overly appetizing to either of us, but we decided to give it a shot since it is somewhat healthy. All we can say is, wow, what an amazing experience we had. The food was delicious, albeit a bit expensive, but delicious nonetheless. The atmosphere was good and the staff was friendly, we enjoyed every minute of our visit. We will definitely be back, and will be recommending it to all of our friends!! read more

Killer Poke is what I imagine a Bakersfield based poke place would be. Its got a good blend of food options. You have the typical raw fish found in all poke places, but they also give you other options. Things like smoked salmon or mushrooms, more familiar things to help introduce new customers to the concept. I find that to be ingenious and great for those not so adventurous folks. I would have taken my grandma here to try things. Sauces and smoked salmon are also made in house. They make a point to also hold unique drink options, which I have yet to taste, but plan to. You pay 13 bucks for a whole lot of food. They now have a smaller option for 8 bucks, but I always go for the large. As their advertisement says, I pack a bowl, making sure to get pretty much every topping they would allow me. This is definitely one of the more memorable poke places! read more

Not the poke I'm used to. I got more toppings than protein. The salmon was mush, and the tuna was in pieces not cubed. 2 star for the convenience of ordering online. You really can't get fresh fish around here, but the quality of "raw fish" here was not great at all. read more

Wow, having had lots of Poke in Hawaii, in SF and at our place on the coast (I fish a lot) I was a bit skeptical when my visiting son told us we had to try killer poke in Bakersfield. He was right. The tuna in the poke bowl was of the highest grade. Amazingly you can also get two scoops of crab for no additional cost. The options of toppings was extensive and delish. Cauliflower rice as a base option was also nice. That was one big lunch for $15. Staff very friendly and helpful and there is a nice outdoor courtyard to dine in. read more

Quick Summary It's very hard to differentiate yourself as a poke spot; food was great, service was good, restaurant was very clean, and value is good. Killer Poke epitomizes the standard poke spot. Food- 4 stars The fish quality is above average here. I ordered the spicy tuna, tuna, and salmon and there was no scent of anything spoiled (this is my biggest fear of poke spots). They have all the standard toppings and I give them a huge gold star for freshness (e.g. nothing seemed like it's been left over from the day before) Service- 5 stars Servers are very friendly when they're picking out your bowl. Felt very welcomed throughout my stay Atmosphere- 4 stars I liked the contemporary vibe of the restaurant with the outside patio. However, this is more of a knock on downtown, but don't be surprised to see some panhandlers around the area Value- 4 stars Good food and fresh ingredients at less than $15. Bottom Line If you're around the area and craving poke, Killer Poke is your spot and more. Just not sure if I would go all the way across town for it because of how many other poke spots are around Bakersfield. read more

This is BY FAR the best poke spot in town (I've tried the majority and they win by a landslide). Everything is so fresh, flavorful, and delicious. There is quite the variety as well, so something will work for everyone. One of my biggest pet peeves when having poke is when the vegetables are soggy/slimy (ie the ginger, cucumber, etc) and I have never had this issue here before, all of their vegetables have a nice consistency, color, and crunch. They don't use too much sauce (this also happens a lot at other spots) which is another perk because you can really taste the quality of the protein. And I have two words for you- COCONUT CAKE. It's moist, flavorful, and so coconutty (you get what I mean). If you can grab a slice before they run out I definitely recommend doing so. read more

Yum! I'm pretty much always down for a good bowl of poke and theirs is killer! The quality of fish is great and their toppings are fresh with lots of variety! What else could you ask for when it comes to poke? I'll admit I've never spent more than a few seconds in here because I usually order online for pick up and it's always ready and waiting for me. But in the collective minute or two I've actually spent in here, the atmosphere is cool, the staff is friendly, and there's always people there. The downside is that they aren't open on the weekends, which is a shame because I'd eat here more often if they were. But I get it, they're located in a place with a weekday lunch demographic and probably don't get much traffic on the weekends. read more

I love Poke. Saw this place right around lunch hour. Two guys inside were helpful and focused, ambiance is good, maybe a beach vibe as they market but having lived there it just felt relaxed and minimalist not beachy. I like minimalist, too much stuff gives me a headache. I sat at the window counter, the patio looked good too. My bowl was good, not great but I'd eat there again. Shrimp were large compared to most places and were fresh but there was something about them I wasn't sure of, pineapple was canned-odd, avocado was delicious and generous. Tuna was fresh, not fatty but good. Not sure where the bowl fell from really good to just good but it did. 3.5 stars read more

KILLER POKE delivered it's name. While In Bakersfield for a dentist appointment , I was looking everywhere for any fresh, quality , enticing place to eat and I came across this establishment. Their reviews were the best around in quality. At first I wasn't too fond of a $13 bowl however their serving size and portions were totally worth every dollar.
