I've been here twice and they DELIVER! Workers are always so welcoming and atmosphere is so chill. My go to is always a POKÉ bowl with 3 proteins. Killer Poke is what I imagine a Bakersfield based poke place would be. Its got a good blend of food options. You have the typical raw fish found in all poke places, but they also give you other options. Things like smoked salmon or mushrooms, more familiar things to help introduce new customers to the concept. I find that to be ingenious and great for those not so adventurous folks. I would have taken my grandma here to try things. Sauces and smoked salmon are also made in house. They make a point to also hold unique drink options, which I have yet to taste, but plan to. You pay 13 bucks for a whole lot of food. They now have a smaller option for 8 bucks, but I always go for the large. As their advertisement says, I pack a bowl, making sure to get pretty much every topping they would allow me. This is definitely one of the more memorable poke places! read more

The tuna in the poke bowl was of the highest grade. Amazingly you can also get two scoops of crab for no additional cost. The options of toppings was extensive and delish. This is BY FAR the best poke spot in town (I've tried the majority and they win by a landslide). Everything is so fresh, flavorful, and delicious. There is quite the variety as well, so something will work for everyone. One of my biggest pet peeves when having poke is when the vegetables are soggy/slimy (ie the ginger, cucumber, etc) and I have never had this issue here before, all of their vegetables have a nice consistency, color, and crunch. They don't use too much sauce (this also happens a lot at other spots) which is another perk because you can really taste the quality of the protein. And I have two words for you- COCONUT CAKE. It's moist, flavorful, and so coconutty (you get what I mean). If you can grab a slice before they run out I definitely recommend doing so. read more

Two guys inside were helpful and focused, ambiance is good, maybe a beach vibe as they market but having lived there it just felt relaxed and minimalist not beachy. I like minimalist, too much stuff gives me a headache. I sat at the window counter, the patio looked good too. My bowl was good, not great but I'd eat there again. Shrimp were large compared to most places and were fresh but there was something about them I wasn't sure of, pineapple was canned-odd, avocado was delicious and generous. Yum! I'm pretty much always down for a good bowl of poke and theirs is killer! The quality of fish is great and their toppings are fresh with lots of variety! What else could you ask for when it comes to poke? I'll admit I've never spent more than a few seconds in here because I usually order online for pick up and it's always ready and waiting for me. But in the collective minute or two I've actually spent in here, the atmosphere is cool, the staff is friendly, and there's always people there. The downside is that they aren't open on the weekends, which is a shame because I'd eat here more often if they were.
