Visiting killington this week from California, and was very happy with the selection of items available here. The man at the deli counter created a custom sandwich based on our request, and seemed happy to do so. He was patient and accommodating. The Tuscan bean soup, Caesar salad, and macadamia cookie that I had was delicious! Our son chose a cheeseburger from the prepared foods, and said that it tasted very good. We were also able to pick up sodas, crackers, and a variety of snacks. 5 stars! read more

I have no clue why the stars to this place are so low. Great little local market/ deli. The chef was totally cool about me not wanting ham on my italian. He was very kind and was quick with making the sub. I also picked up some cheese that is locally sourced from Plymouth VT. The lady that was the cashier too was very kind too. This place really feels like the only place you can't get ripped off in Killington. I hope this place stays open because it's a great addition to the Killington community. read more

This deli and market is such a great spot. The sandwiches are awesome, super fresh, generous portions, and seriously tasty. You can tell they use quality ingredients. I usually stop in to grab a freshly made sandwich (The Better Bird is my favorite) , always hits the spot. The market has a cool mix of stuff , local products, snacks, and things you don't usually find in regular stores. It's one of those places where you always find something new to try. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the whole place just has a welcoming vibe. Whether you're stopping in for lunch or picking up some groceries, it's always a good experience. My husband and I recently visited Killington and were relieved to find this gem of a store. We had meatball sandwiches for lunch...delicious! Then, we enjoyed the pizza for dinner...also wonderful! I would really rate my recent experience a 0 if possible. Cashier had the nastiest attitude and required an ID for everyone with me because I purchased a bottle of wine. Mind you we are all well over 21 but the people with me left there IDs in the car because they 1. don't drink and 2. we just got off the mountain and didn't have our wallets on us. she then proceeded to yell at me because one of my friends was taking a long time trying to find their id in the car. Liquor stores don't even do this. Find better staff. read more

The market was clean and the staff was friendly. They have a near-Monopoly on grocery items near the mountain and know it. The pricing was extremely expensive, about 3x typical grocery store pricing. If you're shopping for multiple days for a large group, visiting the Walmart on the way in is a very smart idea. Oops. They were out of ground beef and the vegetable/fruit selection is very limited. They also sell some beer/wine. We wound up going to Walmart when we ran out of food after ~2 days and spent the same amount for 2-3x the food. Please try to avoid shopping at this grocery store at all costs. I've dealt with the absurdly high prices for years, but after interacting with easily the cruelest employee I have ever had the misfortune to interact with, I will never shop here again. There are plenty of tiny markets around the Killington area who do not have abusive employees. We stopped and picked up sandwiches for the road. We were extremely disappointed. I ordered a turkey club on a hoagie roll. The bread was pulled out of a bag and was not fresh at all. The sub roll was also very thick and they did not put much turkey on the roll so it was like eating just bread My wife got the chicken salad sandwich and it made her stomach upset the entire ride home. I would avoid their prepared food and sandwiches. I should have known because I read the reviews from others and they said the same. The gift shop was nice. We've been visiting Killington for the last few years and have stopped at this market many times. I don't like to write negative reviews because I always like to give someone a pass for maybe having a bad day. In the past the staff here have been rude. This time through we were greeted by a new young guy in the deli. He was so friendly and helpful. The food was great, too. One day I had a breaded pork with a ginger sauce and rice/veggies. Yum! Hubby had a sub and said it was also good. Second time through had Buffalo chicken with a great sauce. They've upped their game. Seems a little cleaner, too. We'll keep on coming. read more

We wanted to find a shop for Killington souvenirs (short, magnets, mugs, hats, pins) and the souvenir side was awesome! The worker was very friendly and didn't bother us as we shopped. They had an assortment of choices with standard ski shop items. They had everything we were looking for and the worker was very pleasant! We went back later to look for water at the grocery store and bought gallons for $2.95 each. The market is small and doesn't post many prices throughout the store. It was a little annoying to have to keep going to the cashiers for price checks. My friend ended up buying a cold brew coffee for $10! It is an expensive grocery store but had everything we were looking for. When we went to check out I had forgotten my ID at our Airbnb. We were all asked for ID's because my friends were purchasing beer and since I didn't have mine, we weren't able to get the beer. It was okay though because we are used to that law in New York. The cashier was very rude. We bought groceries for our cabin stay and I asked if I could use the bathroom. NO PUBLIC BATHROOM! It's ok to spend money on groceries. Yet someone who has a medical condition - couldn't use bathroom. I certainly wasn't here to slaughter their bathroom. Will never come here again. Unfriendly as heck. Let me tell you about my experience watching people make my sandwich. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and they grab the meat out of the freezer, threw it in the microwave, and then finished it on the grill. The bread was stale and tasted like it was frozen like the meat. There was some lady behind the counter named Melissa who tried to be funny with the customers but it just came off awkward and forced. Looking into the open kitchen it doesn't look very clean back there either. So I took a look around the market trying to get some food that I could consume and not get sick. Between the rotten California produce and the expired brown meat I decided to go to Burger King in Rutland instead. Avoid this place go anywhere else in the city. read more

For reference, I was on the same camping trip/wedding as Tino. Yes, this place is a little small. That means that they can't have every little thing in stock all the time. But for a group of us camping out we pretty much just needed the basic stuff: booze, non-alcoholic beverages, s'mores materials, snack/grilling food, etc. Every time we went there during the weekend, the staff was very friendly. As Tino mentioned, we had just been to a wedding with a surprise vegetarian reception. While the food at the reception was good, we were all hungering for some serious burger time. Since we'd stopped at the market the day before to pick up some supplies, we knew they had a grill there so we headed straight in. We saw that there were no burgers on their grill/deli menu, so we asked the guys behind the counter about it and they confirmed our fears: burgers were not a part of their typical fare. I'm not sure if it was simply because it wasn't very busy when we stopped in, or the childishly comic looks of sadness on our faces, but the guy said he could hook us up with some bacon cheeseburgers anyway. He grabbed a package of ground beef from their meat section and whipped us up some burgers. What I find even cooler is after he told us they didn't make burgers, they actually referred us to Charity's down the street. But at that point we were starving and they were nice enough to make us something not even on the menu, so we ate their burgers instead (which were pretty delicious anyway). We also stopped in the morning we were heading out for some breakfast, which was also delicious. Hash brown sticks rock pretty hard. On an unrelated note, they have a surprisingly large wine section in the store. It's seriously an entire isle. So if you want to get your wine on, this is probably a good place to stop. In conclusion, thank you Killington Market guys, for being super nice about our completely ridiculous burger cravings. read more

They have a monopoly for groceries on the mountain, but the prices are fair and they have a surprising variety of foods/drinks in stock. They also have convenient hours, so you can go after hitting the slopes all day. The subs/sandwiches aren't out-of-this-world, but they're big and good, so are a great alternative to buying food at one of the base lodges. read more

The Killington Market was a pretty sweet place to pick up some extra groceries on your ski trip to Killington. Stop in for some Vermont syrup, beer, eggs, ice-cream and cigars. They will probably have everything you need plus some, prefacing what you NEED not what you may want. They have a decent selection for a small shop. Prices are a little high, but you're paying for convenience and this is a convenience store. The people who helped me were also very friendly, and we in the to get me some beer they were out of up front. read more

This place does not require employees or shoppers to wear masks. I've been in twice when people working there didn't have masks on. I asked, and they won't require people to wear them. I feel unsafe, and like I'm unnecessarily exposing myself to COVID shopping here. It's so disrespectful to everyone who shops here. I'm actually kind of shocked to see the existing reviews of this place. My friends and I were just up in Vermont for a camping trip and this place was our go-to spot for just about everything. This became apparant as we had been dying for a hamburger and upon asking the guys manning the food counter if they made them, the told us no, but offered to just open a package of meat and make a few burgers for us. I was totally blown away by the general friendliness and high level of customer service that the staff provided that I was willing to buy pretty much everything I needed for the weekend from this place. Killington Market is a true gem on the mountain. We have been counting on this stop for 10 years now. The produce might be limited, but everything on the shelves and coolers is fresh and of quality. The meat cooler is always stocked and with freshly packed items. You can grab what you need for a great fresh pasta dinner, steaks on the grill or artisan breads and fresh pies. The staff behind the deli counter are chefs. Great soups and daily specials. The wine/beer selection is full of variety and priced fairly. So happy to have the market. read more

This places stocks more like a gas station than a market. Since real markets aren't readily accessible they Markup all the prices by at least 100%. So expect to pay for the convenience of not having to drive 30 mins to a real town. read more

Stopped here because it was the closest market to our campground. It's on the expensive side, but had all the basics, and a big selection of wine and beer for the size of the market. For other campers, I'd suggest planning ahead to find a supermarket on the way up to do most of your food shopping, knowing that this place is here for anything else you need once you get there. read more

We bought a bottle of wine there that when we opened it had clearly gone bad. The cork was dried out and crumbled and the wine had a musty smell. We brought the wine back to exchange it and they told us by law they weren't allowed to. So no money back and no new bottle of wine. Won't be buying any more wine there. read more

This is a nice little market. They always have an interesting inventory of wines to try out! The staff is pleasant and the sandwiches and soups are very good. Of course, it's not a big city Trader Joe's, but it has everything you may need. I recommend! read more

I would not call it grocery nor a mini mart.... more like an elaborate bodega. Killington Market sells a bit of everything that you need but without the frills, which means they had one kind of almost everything. Bandaids, some over the counter medications, scotch tape, milk, cereal, juice, etc. They had a decent selection of beer because it's VT and it seems like their standard of a beer selection outranks a lot of other places. Naturally, they had a very elaborate range of maple syrup. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind when they didn't have what we were looking for. They happily referred to a hardware store nearby and didn't push for us to buy their products. Just be mindful that this is a vacation town and the prices reflect it. There is a definite financial advantage to bringing supplies with you. read more

We went to the Killington Market mid-April which is off-season so we weren't sure what we'd find. I was disappointed. Many items weren't marked with a price (which really bothers me!) They had many "freshly baked" breads that looked nice (no price marked). some from the bakery in Rutland looked nice but when I looked closer they were over a week expired and mold all over them. Not just one or two but a whole stack of them. Many of the items I felt were way over priced. Like a 2 liter of soda for $3! I guess that's what you get for convenience. They offered deli sandwiches and pizza that looked good but we didn't get any. Overall the place was dirty which was a turn off too. On a positive note, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. read more

It's summer so finding a place that makes a good breakfast is difficult to find. But this did just the trick. Wife and I shared the breakfast platter which comes with 3 eggs, cooked with whatever you wish, we had veggies. Toast was insanely good. And we ate our meal outside on picnic tables!!!
