I have been to several different Kilwin stores in different cities, and although this is a chain, it is a wonderful one! The staff are very friendly and happy to give you samples of everything from fudge & candies to their delicious ice-cream. It is also fun & interesting to watch them make their creations right in front of you. I hope you're reading this. My fiancé and I like to visit every couple weeks for a after dinner treat. We love walking around and seeing all the different things you have come up with. But you do not know how to manage your employees. They're all the sweetest people and most of them seem like high school kids, always helping guest, and getting them to try samples. But it seems like every time you're around they are miserable. I witnessed something Friday night that made me want to jump the counter and talk to you in the back. I saw 3-4 High School girls that worked for you in tears because of the way you treat/talk to them. That is not business. You're a bully and you don't deserve to be the owner and manager. You need to learn how to treat them before you don't have any at all. They're not just bodies making you money, They're people. These are kids trying to make money to save for college. How can you let your customers watch you talk to them the way you do and just think that's okay? They were literally crying after you walked away. We ask them if they're okay and they just keep looking over their shoulder making sure you're not around to yell at them anymore because you think they're not working hard enough. Maybe you don't need to be in the business anymore. You're a joke of a manager and business owner if you think what you're doing to them is okay. When I was a manager at my last job, there was no one in management or ownership position that talked down to anyone the way you do to them. I think it's time you figure out another way to do things. You won't have employees one day if you keep it up. read more

Okay this is for sure the best ice cream I have ever tasted in my entire life. If I could just insert an IV of their peanut butter pie ice cream into my veins, I would. They are SO generous with samples and are so friendly the moment you walk threw the door. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because when as generous as they are with the samples, the scoop size is average to below. If your an ice cream lover make sure you either get the biggest size they sell or you might be paying for a second serving once you finish. Can't wait to return & try their hot chocolate! read more

This was a perfect afternoon treat. I will say it is the devil lol but also heaven. I had a scoop of the Georgia Peach and the Salted Caramel. The Georgia peach wasn't too peachy- it was very creamy and had fresh leach bites. The salted caramel which is their top seller had to be some of the best ice cream I have had! The ice cream had the perfect mix of caramel swirl, chocolate covered caramel pieces and a delicious ice cream mix. I always enjoy a bottle of water with which they offer. They also serve multiple types of fudge. I tried samples and wanted to buy some but was too full from the ice cream! They had a special of buy two get one on the slices. Each slice runs for $9. My friend and I got two bottles of water, she got a single scoop and I a double scoop and it was $15. There is also not a whole lot of seating but you are in the downtown square which is a great area for walking around and the free parking garage is nearby. read more

Walked in at 9:17PM on a Friday. Clearly people eating food outside and in just bought at Kilwin's, but somehow they were spontaneously"closed," even though they are supposed to close at 10:00. We and another group (we did not know) walked down for Kilwin's, but were denied service. Went to Baskin Robbins, who was also open until 10:00, and they were still open. They were happy to serve us. VERY disappointing. I guess BR gets our business. They've been here before Kilwin's and will be there after at this rate. read more

Great place for ice cream in the summer, hot cocoa in the winter, and homemade chocolates all year long. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Lines can be long with little seating, and they seem to close pretty early some nights, but overall an excellent stop for dessert in Franklin. read more

The young man at Kilwins stopped my wife and accused of us not paying for our milkshake. He made my wife give him the receipt that we just received from the young lady, who was very nice. After he saw the receipt he pointed at me and said I had another shake. We told him that we were sharing. Not too professional of him. It's also good to expect the best in people rather than accuse them of something without the right information. Pretty funny. Most people would feel very uncomfortable being treated like that. Kilwin's is a chain that is a wonderful addition to downtown Franklin! Once in awhile, my husband and I like to go out for ice cream...it's dangerous to keep any in the house! We went there last night (in frigid temperatures no less). I was happy to see some of my favorite Michigan flavors, such as REAL Mackinac Island Fudge. Great ice cream parlor atmosphere, friendly people and best of all...delicious hot fudge sundae. I have to get back for a caramel apple sometime. They gave us a free sample of fudge as well. It was good too! There's not much else to say...I don't think I have to convince anyone that premium ice cream is perfection. read more

Super overpriced for what you get, yes the ice cream is good but the value/quality is not. I got a vanilla milkshake for almost 9 dollars, it would've cost me no more than four anywhere else. We stopped by on weekend trip to Nashville, this place was great! I have always loved brittle but usually any flavor other than peanut, no longer! They had samples and I had to give half to bag away to my brother so I would not eat the whole thing, absolutely the best peanut brittle I have ever had (sorry MawMaw!). The kids got huge peanut butter cup and turtle covered Rice Krispie treat, everything was amazing. We will certainly make this a side trip every time we drive through town. read more
