OMFG this place is outrageously delicious. Their home made ice cream is the best ice cream my son has ever had. They have old fashioned vanilla with home made fudge. You Heard me right: homemade fudge in homemade vanilla ice cream! After having met, I feel like I have just died and gone to heaven. Their fudge is delicious with a nice creamy texture. With flavor such a sea salt doubled dark caramel and their signature turtle fudge, how can you go wrong? Their candy apples are fresh and absolutely gorgeous and delicious. We also have a great selection of heritage chocolates. Both Michael and Jack gave us good ole southern hospitality and everyone was wonderful at the store. I'm a huge fan of Kilwins in Florida. When we came across one here there was no question ice cream was on the table. We walked by yesterday and the kindest man was handing out fudge. He was so excited to tell us about the fudge and offer free samples as well as tell us what was new in the shop. Today was decided to head in after a light lunch. He wasn't there but we met Xavier who made us the best ice cream waffle bowls. He offered different samples of ice cream without us having to ask and shared his thoughts on what flavors he personally liked. We opted for the coconut which is always my go to. What can I say? They make an amazing coconut ice cream. On the way out I got a sample of the pumpkin fudge. It was decent but their chocolate fudge really tops the cake or ice cream in this case. Poor service and rude staff. Staff appears to need customer service training & inclusion & diversity training. We are new to San Antonio. We had a guest in town who is very familiar with this franchise in a different city so we decided to treat the kids to ice cream. As we walked in and started to look at the various flavors of ice cream the older man working the register approached my kids and I and began to treat us with disrespect telling us that another couple was ahead of us. I explained that we were in no way trying to skip the line but simply looking at the flavors. Also there didn't appear to be a line. I ignored his rude behavior at first but then another couple came in with 3 kids that started horse-playing and pushing guests in the line and as my kids moved to get out of their way the same older man staff member walked over and gave those kids the green light to play as much as they'd like ignoring the fact that even the kid's parents asked them to calm down and stop running into and pushing other customers. My girls are very respectful kids and seemed scared after this treatment. The treatment we received today at this establishment was beyond disrespectful. My kids left confused as to why they were treated this way. We bought 5 ice cream cones but will never return to this establishment. It appears to me that the staff needs customer service & inclusion & diversity training. read more

Came into this place thought it was a good place to get ice cream. I'm waiting in line with others in front of me and another person behind me.. Anthony was helping the people in front of me and Jonathan comes to help out tells us to move out of the way so he can help the next person. My kids were so confused wondering what was happening. I guess he thought the older white man was going to give him a better tip. Talk about discrimination and bad service. He then tried to defend his actions by lying after I confronted him about it. Then Anthony tried to tell me about being a good Christian man. I wanted ice cream not a Sunday school lesson. In my opinion Both of these 2 workers didn't really want to be working tonight. Working around all that ice cream Jonathan needs to be wearing a hair net. So disappointed and the ice cream wasn't all that great either. I tasted the chocolate turtles (they are misspelled "tuttles" which were amazing, rich and creamy! I ordered a latte and a regular coffee. The regular coffee is really good! Really great ice cream and a really great location. We had the Smore's ice cream, which my best friends say it was the best Smore's ice cream she's ever had in life. I also had a cappuccino and the blueberry waffle cone ice cream, both were delicious. It is definitely a great place to take kids and they give out a lot of free samples.
