Always a fun local place to eat at. Friendly service and good food for both breakfast or lunch.

Good country skillet. Little light on gravy, 3 eggs, in an office park so location was odd location. Overall flavor was spot on. The sausage and bacon at the bottom of the skillet really made the dish. read more

Kim & Patty's was a wonderful experience. Definitely one of the best breakfast venues in the county! And better than the hallowed ground of Brunch Cafe. My wife and I were seated right away on a busy Saturday morning around 9am. The waitress was wonderful and quick to offer up coffee and other libations. We both ordered skillets; I got the country skillet and my wife got the supreme skillet. Both came out within 20 minutes as we sat and enjoyed a quiet breakfast in one of their booths. Note: I would definitely recommend not sitting in the main seating area; rather to the sides. It gets pretty loud in the main seating area and we were lucky to get a side seat. Pricing was great as we paid about $25 plus a tip for the two of us. I will be going back and will be sure to snap some photos next time! read more

Location, Location, Location Good thing for yelp or we would never have found Kim & Patty's. It was hidden back in an industrial park-not your usual site for a breakfast place. The nice thing was that the location keeps it from being mobbed at prime time on a Sunday morning. We got there at 9:30 and were seated right away. Atmosphere and menu choices were pretty typical but good solid options. Service (our server was Lisa) was VERY nice and attentive. We sat down and within seconds we had coffee, water and some yummy little cinnamon sugar dough nuggets- a nice added touch Food was good (choice of pancakes or toast with bfast, which I like - hate when places upcharge for pancakes). Portions were a bit smallish, compared to other places where my breakfast choice is often big enough for leftovers for a decent lunch, and for the same price (but I certainly did not feel "ripped off" by any means). I would definitely try it again ... if I can find it! read more

It's the most Patriotic restaurant I've ever been in. The wall is covered with service members photos The American Flag is the first thing you see when you walk in. The decor is out standing. Stopped in for the first time today. Got there around 1:20 on a Sunday and they close at 2:00. I wasn't sure if we would be rushed but we were not at all. The waitress was so sweet! She greeted us right away, got our drink order. Then when she came to take our order, my mom got a phone call. So she waited for a minute then whispered to me "I'll be right back, I'm going to get you some soup to try" The cream of chicken rice soup was so good we each got a cup!! The food was delicious! My family and I met another couple here for breakfast. I have three little ones, so any place we go comes with a bit of chaos. They were able to seat us right away. The staff was more than accommodating, although very fast paced. I ordered steak and eggs, there was nothing amazing or unexpected about it. Just simple steak and eggs. My gals got chocolate pancakes, and some even made it in there mouths. All in all, nice place plenty of room to move about. read more

This place was hard to find - if you didn't know it was here (THANK YOU YELP!!) you would never stumble across it hidden in the middle of this business park nowhere near a main road. We had an amazing breakfast, and our waitress was great. She really had fun with it being Kentucky Derby Day with the decorations she had on her hat. First-time visit today at Kim & Patty's. The menu includes a great variety of items. I had the biscuits and gravy. The country gravy was quite tasty, but the biscuits were rather dry and bland. I would try them again, but I would ask to have them toasted slightly and have some butter added, before gravy is put over the top. read more

Now open for indoor seating! Very clean and the staff were happy and friendly despite the masks they wore. My husband and I went for an early Valentine's Day breakfast and enjoyed Strawberry French Toast with fresh strawberries (seasonal), bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns...the works! I wish I could give this place more stars, because the owners are fabulous. And the service is definitely 4-5 stars. But the food...that's where the rating goes way down. I had lunch here last month and had the chicken caesar salad. The chicken was thick and chewy and not cooked enough. Made me gag. The dressing was sub-par. Don't think it was homemade. Had lunch here again today and had a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup. It was so incredibly salty and had the overpowering taste of onions. Couldn't even taste the broccoli or the cheese. The chicken salad was pretty darn good though. Sweet potato fries were nice and hot, but the quality wasn't good. Very "industrial restaurant food" tasting. For a Friday afternoon, this place was dead today. There were only two other occupied tables. Could be the location, but I'm thinking it's the food. read more

I have eaten here in the past, but my recent visit has solidified not going back. I used to overlook the Fox "News" on every station because the volume was muted and the food was good. Now that the food is only mediocre, but has stayed higher priced than most diner's and is still playing Fox on every t.v., I won't be going back. read more

So the Old Street Eats turned into this. Guess what?!?! I like this place. Nice, quick, quality lunch service. Our server was extremely nice and was spot on with the refills on drinks. The food, perfect -- great sweet potato fries. I had the sun dried tomato chicken sandwich, very good, just the right amount of food for lunch so I'm not sitting in cube city feeling over stuffed. Decor is pretty unique, geared to the military and America. Great old photos on the walls. I'll be back for sure! Out for a early morning motorcycle ride and found this little out of the way cafe. The first impression I had and was impressed with was that they support their local public safety community and military which is a big plus in my book. To make things better the two ladies running the place were very friendly and service was prompt. It was a good sized portion of food and came out very quickly. The place is decorated very nicely and features many different pictures of McHenry and local veterans.
