Plenty of parking available. Walked in at 6:30 on a Sunday evening and was sat immediately. Our server Thalia was a delight. Very friendly and conversational. Also suggested the foods she liked best which was very helpful. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo and the beef stoganoff...both were delicious although I did add a gratuitious amount of salt and pepper. They have a full bar, and there schooners are nice and cold. PRO TIP: always choose the corn bread over the garlic bread, you won't regret it. read more

Food was average...Shepard pie was not done right. I tasted like cold cat food and the grated cheese on top of the mashed potatoes was not melted, hock! The water was awful Ann even the waitress agreed. Not drinkable so we had to buy sprite in order to drink with our meal . Because of this we won't be returning. read more

Tonight we decided to go Marie Callender's and we had the Chicken Alfredo and the meatloaf. Both meals were great. Edward P is one of the best servers around. We have gone to many places around and each and every time we come here this young man is very professional and it's very rare to see this customer service. MC is very lucky to have him. Downhill Quality: Pot pie was not saucy but a congealed mess. Most likely frozen. The pot roast was definitely precooked and reheated. Meat tasted like a frozen dinner for $23!!!!!! Nothing but the pies and cornbread are made in house. Also their honey butter is 100% Margarine**** the unhealthiest slop. My son and I went to dinner at Marie Calendars last night. He had the meatloaf dinner and I had the chicken pot pie trio. Both were delucious and included a slice of pie. Service was exceptional as well. Restaurant seemed clean and food came out nice and hot. Sadly, there are only a handful of these restaurants still around. Let's not let this one slip away too. Give it a try or visit again if it has been a while. PS they do close at 8 PM. read more

I had an amazing experience thanks to Maricela at Marie Callender's Restaurant & Bakery. From the moment we were seated, she was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made sure everything was perfect, checked in at just the right times, and had such a positive, warm attitude that truly stood out. It's rare to come across service that feels this sincere--Maricela made the whole meal more enjoyable and memorable. So I was across the street at Salina's Tire, having a service done that they informed me were going to take excess of five hours I made myself comfortable in the sitting area. That's a Tire shop, but after a few hours I knew I was going to need to eat something. I downloaded delivery service apps, and started exploring menus and quickly realized that everything was just so outrageous. The price that's although the food itself was going to be approximately $20 once adding in delivery charges and tax. I was going to play something like close to $30 for a big nugget meal. Or a Burger combo from a fast food restaurant I decided to try to walk around and Explorer the area and see if there was anything close by. I can get something to eat from As I was walking, I noticed across the street construction, and next to it with this tiny Marie calendars restaurant. It almost looks close as due to be massive construction going on. Carefully across the street and noticed that it was in shock opened and made my way It is well. Kept small Marie calendars. My surprise was that I was immediately breaded, and very well taken care of. This is ultimate friendly, respectful, attentive, and efficient I ordered a Burger, but you see in the photos and it was cooked to perfection and everything taste great with a raspberry iced tea that I didn't even have to ask for Rachel. They just noticed and brought me a second one as soon as they soon my drink, starting to go below a certain line. And then to my surprise that came with a slice of pi, and including chip, I spend less than $30, which I think it was well worth it, considering the alternatives, and the quality of the food was amazing read more

The service is top-notch! Josh , Edward, and Marina are always so pleasant and helpful. We are greeted by the friendly wait staff who quickly took the time to know us by name. Had the soup and salad lunch and it was great across the board. Cup of soup and 1/2 salad is the perfect size for lunch . Their vegetable soup is still one of my favorites as the broth has a perfect level of seasoning. The Cobb Salad was perfectly dressed and had very crisp lettuce. Just ordered from here. Horrible customer service especially from an employee named Elias. ordered a turkey croissant sandwich and it came super soggy and was literally falling apart and they forgot a slice of pie Which came with a meal. Called and they refused to replace the soggy sandwich and give the slice of pie they forgot. horrible service! never coming here again! and telling other friends and family not to eat here either! read more

This is the kinda place your parents took you too when you were a kid. Back in the 60's/70's. It feels familiar. Lots of wood. Long bar if you're inclined. Staff were friendly and attentive. Plenty of choices for me and I went for the meatloaf on sour dough. It was really good. Actually I got the $16.99 half sandwich/soup/fries/pie combo. I was stuffed and took the pie home. When you can't get out the door at most places these days for less than 25 bucks a meal this was a treat. Give Marie a chance someday. You already know you like her pot pie and her pies. No sparkle or glitz here. And I don't mind not paying for that and just getting good food with a smile. read more

We ordered a banana creme pie for pick up. There weren't any on display when I arrived for pick up but they said they would bring it out from the back. Prices have certainly gone up but the quality of the pies is still the same in my opinion. I can imagine the whole pie is better deal than ordering by the slice. We did not dine in so I can't say anything about the service. The place looked busy on a Sunday afternoon and parking was hard to find. read more

I joined two friends who come here regularly for brunch. Surprisingly it was not too busy for a Saturday. The restaurant is small and has a diner like feel. My BLT with avocado tasted good as did the hash brown. The server Roscio was attentive and friendly. The pies looked delicious so I ordered the key lime pie to go. I have nice memories of going to Marie's...happy there are still a few around. read more

Terrible Service.. Great pies and good comfort food, so I have give. five stars where do. I went in for one slice of strawberry rhubarb pie for my 91 year old mama. I walked up to the counter and I noticed another lady walked in behind me. The lady at the register Tess was counting money and I waited patiently. She didn't look up and said can I help you. I asked for if they had strawberry rhubarb pie she said no. She continued to count her coin. I asked what pies do they have and she looked up and point to a list. On the list there is a rhubarb pie, just no strawberry! Wow. Okay To reiterate... Good place to find some delicious comfort food. Not the best customer service.. Location - Easy to find. I was craving quiche, this is ome of the few places that has a vegetarian one. It has spinach, onion, and cheese. You have the option to top ot off with cheese or more veggies. I decided to do the combo and regret it, the salad was soggy and not worth the extra $5. Next time I will get the quiche a la carte. My family, boyfriend and I love coming here for the amazing food, service and of course the pies! We are always greeted, seated and asked for our drink order upon our arrival. Huge shout out to Fatima, Rocio and Baldo for making sure our experience is always the best. Fatima is very attentive and friendly whenever we visit. She makes sure my coffee is always refilled as well as my boyfriend's iced teas. Also have to shout out Roger in the kitchen for always giving us that "at home feeling" we need. Last time coming to this location. When you are the only table,in addition to 2-3 others..and can't handle that, the you should ask for help. One star cause the food was hot, service very lacking..had to flag our server down for refills ( not the first time with her) this now last time, when she refilled, she didn't even ask if everything was good. Server's name is ROCIO, so if you don't mind lackluster crappy service, then by all means go there. read more

I visited this bakery on June 28 and placed a pickup order for July 5 at 6:30 a.m. I paid by card…read moreat the time of ordering. On July 5, I arrived at the store around 6:50 a.m. to pick up my order, but the staff could not find it. After checking, they told me that the person who took my order on June 28 had written it down incorrectly as a 6:30 p.m. pickup, not 6:30 a.m. Even though they admitted that the order was written incorrectly on their side, they told me I would have to wait about 30-40 minutes for them to prepare the original items. I had to pick up my order and leave right away, so I ended up taking different replacement items instead and got money back the price difference in cash. What was more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. I did not receive any apology from the bakery that morning, so later that day I called the store hoping to at least hear a simple "sorry" for the inconvenience. The employee on the phone only asked questions like who took the order and why the price difference was paid back in cash not card, and never offered any apology. Because of this, I went back to the store in person to speak with the manager or owner. The owner, pretending as manager, told me that the order slip showed a 6:30 p.m. pickup time, not 6:30 a.m., and insisted that there was no fault on their side. She didn't say sorry but just blamed the one who wrote wrong. I explained that all I wanted was a basic apology: they had written the order time incorrectly, I could not receive what I originally ordered, I had to take a smaller replacement order, and then I had to visit another bakery to buy more items to make up for the shortage. Even after explaining the inconvenience this caused, I still did not receive a sincere apology. The lack of responsibility and basic customer service in handling their own ordering mistake was very disappointing, and that is why I am sharing this experience here.

Marie Callender's in La Habra is, unfortunately, a blast from the past--and not in a good way. The entire experience was disappointing, starting with the food, which tasted processed and artificial. The iced water had an unpleasant, dirty taste, and I was shocked that the chicken pot pie meal (which included a pot pie, side salad, and slice of pie) cost $20. For the quality of food, this pricing feels like a scam. I wouldn't eat here even if it were free. While I don't mind paying premium prices for quality food, this place has the audacity to charge high prices for mediocre offerings. The interior feels old, dusty, and run-down, and the air carries an unmistakable stale odor. Adding to the frustration, the service was extremely slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty. It took an unreasonably long time for the waitress to take my order and for the food to arrive. Overall, this restaurant is far from what it once may have been, and I would not recommend dining here under any circumstances. read more

Told myself I wouldn't go to another Marie Callender's because the service and food is terrible. But, this location right by the chicken box was nothing like the other restaurants. First off, this place is a franchise, not corporate. So, the menu is different. Second, the food is shockingly great. Third, the staff was super attentive. I told my waitress Cici about my past experience with Marie's; she told me she'd make it up to me. Cici described all the popular plates and explained why they were so delicious. She also made sure my food was made to my to my liking. She recommend Chicken artichoke and wow! There was so much flavor! Also noticed that she made an effort to connect with her customers because she'd address them by their names and had their order memorized. I came back another day, and gentleman named jimmy served me. Just like Cici, he was also attentive and charming. In all, this small location has a wonderful staff and tasty food. I only wish they were closer to my house. read more

Accidentally found this "oldest Marie Callender's restaurant" on a long road trip & left pleasantly surprised! My family and I instantly were "taken back" to 25 years ago! This Marie Callender's had some of the original exclusive menu items still! There was beautiful brick and stained glass, dating back to the 70's. Michael greeted us and then was our server & was AMAZING! He never left a drink empty, added cinnamon apple pie compote on the side (after we mentioned we remembered Marie Callender's including that as a compliment to some meals back in the day.) my kids said it was their new favorite comfort food restaurant We ended the meal with a pie to take home as they were having the Pie sale!! Prices weren't too inflated, and the giant cookies my kiddos left with made for a great ride all the way back home for 2 hours. We will definitely make this a "favorite spot" on our gps for a very soon trip! read more

I love it here. Get lunch here at least once a week (Chinese chicken salad or a turkey sandwich) and it's consistently great. Occasionally I'll get dinner to take home when I'm feeling lazy. Husband swearsby the meatloaf and I love their chicken pot pies. And of course you gotta have pie!
