My wife and I have been going here for six years. Kim's blends prompt service and excellent food to create an exquisite culinary experience. This place is definitely a hole in the wall. The parking lot is really small but you can park over at Zips next door. Bibimbap and bulgogi are good dishes for people who are new to Korean. They bring little side plates with each meal; my wife and I have it bad for the kimchi and Korean style "pancakes." We also really like the tea. Other Korean restaurants you should try in the area are HAHAs Teriyaki Grill in Hillyard and the House of Seoul in Airway Heights. read more

Actually Kim's doesn't offer Korean BBQ and it isn't the only Korean restaurant in Spokane. When I hear Korean BBQ, I think of LA style BBQ, getting the raw meat and grilling it yourself type of deal. Kim's doesn't offer that. They do offer kitchen ready meat dishes like bulgogi and spicy pork. The food tastes home-made to me and I'm Korean. The ban-chan (side dishes) is great here. Since I found this place, I don't drive all the way out to Airway Heights to Seoul Garden anymore. You can also shop Asian groceries at the Oriental Market next door. Both places don't compare to bigger city Korean places but what do you expect, we're in Spocompton. read more

Amazing Bibimbap!!! I was visiting Spokane for a week for business, and around my work is mostly fast food. After the third day I was dying for anything that didn't come with fries! I was extremely happy I found Kim's Korean. I ordered the Bibimbap, and was completely blown away! I've had Bibimbap before, but never like this. Everything was so good! And I loved all the ittle sides that you could add to the dish! This place is a must try if you love good Korean food. read more

Every time I eat Korean food (especially at Kim's two things cross my mind: First, "Wow, that's a lot of food!" (a la the banchan) and next, "Why don't I eat here more often?" I have always had very good experiences at Kim's. I love their bibimbap! I have also had several of their other dishes as well (do yourself a favor and try the ojingeo bokkeum, spicy stir fried squid). If you blink your eye you would miss this little place! On the east side of Division between Zips and Dutch Brothers. Met two of my friends from high school. Neither of them had tried Korean food. They were not disappointed! It was the first for all of us at this restaurant. The building is dated on the inside. It was very clean. I absolutely love places like this. We have gone to Kim's several times and have never been dissappointed. Nice friendly family owned atmosphere and I always feel spoiled when they bring out the food. There are several side dishes with your meal and often we have to get a to-go box because we can't finish it all. The beef bulgogi is my favorite. The vegetables they cook with are super FRESH. Beef with rice noodles is also really good, as is the jap-chae. All my kids love the terriyaki chicken with steamed rice. This is authentic Korean food at its best. I think I circled this area 4 times before I found this gem! Tucked in the corner to the left of Dutch Bros, you will find this quaint little restaurant off Division. The interior is by far not the most modern decor but the friendly service and staff makes up for it. I had the bimibap and the pork bulgogi. They were both delicious and tasty! While I was there a few people ordered the Kalbi.... it seemed to be quite the popular item... next time that will be what I'll try next! read more

small spot located on Division Street, you will literally pass it if you do not remember it is right by Dutch Bros. I liked the homey feel as soon as i walked in, it is small and definitely feels like you are walking into grandma's house lol. The Bulgogi was so good, i really liked it and the Ban Chan was pleasantly different than what i usually have at other Korean spots. The spice on the Bulgogi was great and not to overpowering. I do not believe they sell alcohol here, i did not see that on the menu so please drink responsibly at your home. read more

Oh man. We saw bimbibap on a cooking show and decided we had to try it. We almost couldn't find this blink you miss it, hole in the wall gem. My husband had the bimbibap, I had the teriyaki chicken with veggies. It was so good. It was good leftover and cold standing in the kitchen, fat girl shoving it into my face with my fingers. Every time I go to Kim's whether it be for take out or dining in the food and the service are both amazing. Prices are definitely decent and each dish I have tried so far has been phenomenal. The family who owns and operates the restaurant have always been very kind and accommodating. They give you plenty of food for what you pay and a large variety of side dishes. While visiting my brother in Spokane he insisted we try one of his favorite Korean restaurants. I'm happy to say that the food and service was very good. Not a big place but very clean and welcoming. The food was fresh and hot which is very typical of Korean food served hot off the grill. It didn't feel like you were at a restaurant it felt more like you were at home with family. We all really enjoyed ourself and ate until we couldn't see straight. Perfect for family dinner or date night. I ordered purely off the recommendation of our waitress and couldn't have been more satisfied. I recommend this restaurant to any and all foodies or aspiring foodies. It had been a few years since I was here last. It seems to be a family-owned place, and the woman who has served us both times is the Korean mother I wish I had. If you aren't familiar with Korean food, she even shows you the correct way to eat it in an adorable demonstration. The kimchi is good, and I especially recommend the bulgogi dinner. To top it all off, I forgot my keys inside, and our server came sprinting out after me, smiling and with keys in hand. Just like the Korean mother I always wanted. read more

Absolutely love this place some of the best korean food in town i go here almost every day of the week because i never feel sick , get overfilled, or just dont like my meal i love kims you cant go wrong with anything here and every meal is served with 5 to 6 authentic korean sides !!! even if you get it to go they still throw in some sides ! i would recommend the bulgogi spicy with or without veggies or the spicy terriyaki chicken with or without veggies !! they also have some very delicious beef spareribs and soup!!! so to anyone who hasnt tried this place i highly recommend going!!!!! thank you kims you have earned one good customer keep on cooking this good and i will be coming back forever !!!!! read more

I normally hesitate on writing 5 star reviews...however....not in this case. Not too familiar with Korean food but the Beef ribs were amazing...not tough at all and the other stuff was really tasty....couldn't tell you what it was as I'm not sure about the names unfortunately. Kim's Korean Restaurant is the only Korean BBQ I found in Spokane (So I couldn't be expecting too much). To my surprise, this place is actually owned by Koreans. The service was friendly but slow. There were 2 big parties and what looks like 1 server and 1 cook. The prices were average for a korean bbq place. The food matches the price as well, average. My group and I ordered a mixture of Kalbi and Bulgogi and not much else. The panchan was better than what I expected so that was a plus. Parking can be a hassle as the lot is very small. I think it holds 6 cars for a total of 3 shops. Overall, not bad for korean bbq, and probably pretty good for spokane taste buds. read more

Friendly little old Korean lady comes to greet us. That's how you know it's authentic. She reminded me of my grandma. Very "homely" presence in the restaurant. My favorite is beef kimbap ( they come with two huge rolls! Not 1! ) I love the deokbokki here! Spicy but soooooo good! Family run hole in the wall Korean restaurant. I tried the hot stone bibimbap for lunch. It was good, not great, and I think the regular bibimbap on the lunch menu was probably a better deal. The ban chan were ok but, in a first for a Korean restaurant, did not include kimchi. They did serve it. A family of 5 received some as part of their ban chan, but I was there by myself. It is probably misleading to judge a Korean restaurant without trying their kimchi, but I'll rate it as 3 stars based on the food I received. However, I would love to come back the next time I'm in Spokane to try the oxtail soup among other dishes. read more

My wife and I have visited this restaurant a few times over the years. We got the recommendation from an Asian market nearby. Pero something down in Korean and sad and this to Kim. This restaurant is now our favorite restaurant. The portions had shrunk last time we were there but there was still plenty of food. The flavors are amazing especially if you've never had Korean food before. The store owner is very involved with their customers and is good for a conversation if she's not super busy. The restaurant is very small very few people can eat at one time, And it's usually full. When I am looking for a restaurant I usually look for a full parking lot. If you go in the late evenings there are fewer people and you get to spend some quiet time eating together. If you are looking for something Asian or something different I highly recommend Kim's Korean. read more

I love Kim's and frequent the spot. I stick to three items on the menu but the majority of meals I've had were all quite good. Always friendly service and good portions. As stated by other posters they can get backed up during the busy lunch hours as they have a small kitchen and staff but if you get there around 11 or in the afternoon it's very quiet. If you like Korean food, give it a try, none of the other spots in town compare (baek chun, house of seoul, ha-ha's). read more

My husband is kinda picky when it comes to Korean food since he is used to the place we used to go every week when we lived in North Hollywood, surprisingly, he told me that he like the food here especially the noodle we order I think it's the Kim's special. We also have the Bulgogi "again". The servings are huge too. But since both dishes are very good, we end up eating all of it. The number of side dishes they serve before they bring out our food are absolutely delicious. Also, the lady that cooked and served the food is friendly and nice (and that's a plus). I went in for lunch and I was very pleased with the service and the food. I was amazed with the amount of food I received for 7.50.

I have been going here for over two decades, through two owners, love it, and take friends often. What I enjoy most, is that it tastes exactly the same every time, delicious and flavorful! The current owner greets me with a huge smile, and asks if I want my usual, knows my preference for extra daikon radish etc.. My husband and I always share the dinner size Pork Bulgogi served at table from a sizzling hot cast iron plate. I pick up 1 order of spicy teriyaki chicken with rice and 1 order of Potstickers, and share with at least one other person at work. The seafood pancake is crispy on the edges, tender in the middle and chock full of seafood. I highly recommend this gem! read more

Loved it. I lived in Korea for a year and can be a little picky when it gives to Americanized Korean fare; however, Kims was great. A buddy and I were the only ones there as it was half an hour from closing, but our food was exceptional and the service was friendly and welcoming. My buddy had the bulgogi, which was sweet and peppery, I had the yeukaijeong, which was steamy and spicy. I've gone to Kim's a couple of times and can honestly say I wasn't impressed. The service is okay at best, the food all tastes like a blend of MSG, oyster sauce, and/or ketchup and the side dishes, while plentiful, are pretty bland in taste.
