This is my go-to place for Friday night take out. The pho portions are large, so it is a good value. And its yummy - we crave the broth. The crispy spring rolls are really good, too. I would rate it negative only if I could the service is absolutely TERRIBLE. We ordered a pho and a vermicelli. The vermicelli came 40 minutes after we ordered but with the absolute wrong toppings. I asked for pork and rolls but they just put all of the possible toppings on there. But MAINLY they FORGOT about our other order. We waited 50 minutes in total for our pho until they finally realized they messed up and forgot about it. We ended up just leaving the restaurant without receiving or eating our food. When we arrived at the restaurant (also with no greeting) they didn't even give us the menu for 20 minutes until we finally asked for it. I would not go to this restaurant even if someone paid me to. Next time I will choose a restaurant that actually decides to do their job and give the customer the food they order. I will not return. read more

My family used to be loyal customers to this place, even before they changed their name and management. However, the most recent visit and take out experience were really bad because they keep mixing up the ingredients in the orders. I am allergic to eggs and pork, and I emphasized multiple times to the waiter to please make sure not to put any eggs or pork in my order, and the waiter promised. However, when the order came, obviously pork and egg were in it. They did change it, but I had to wait double the time. The second time, I ordered a chicken vermicelli for take out. It took a long time waiting there, but when I got back home and opened it, there were pork and chicken mixed in, and the pork was not even supposed to be there at all. My husband had to make another trip back to exchange it on a stormy night. Obviously they don't take food allergies seriously at all. We will not go back there again. read more

Definitely not a kids friendly restaurant. We were a group of seven, and came here with three small children. From across the table, the waitress told our 3 and 4 year olds that they had to lower their voice. Within the same minute, she approached them closer and repeated her words. Came here for a quick weekday lunch on a whim. Walked by the restaurant and saw how nicely decorated it was. Lounge chairs by the windows! First off, let me say that I am 100% Viet and I know pho. To be honest, I wasn't expecting this place to have amazing pho.. my bad for stereotyping the place cause it did seem "too fancy" to have good pho. Boy was I wrong! Got the lunch special deal for 9.99, where you get a summer roll or egg roll with pho and a drink. The summer roll was fatly filled, lots of shrimp and pork! The peanut sauce was flavorful and authentic. The pho portion was adequate for the lunch special. Broth is amazing. And good ratio of noodles and beef. It had brisket and tripe also. I chose iced tea for my drink and it was not the generic white Lipton or tea you get from the soda machine! True Vietnamese green tea. Service was very good and I was in and out within 45 mins! The service was mediocre to poor. The bartender tried to make the beverage that I ordered but was not up to par. The summer rolls were good. I ordered the Crunchy Egg Noodle dish and within 30 minutes I was in the bathroom throwing up out of my butt. 3 hours after that I was throwing up out of my mouth as well as my butt. I ended up getting FOOD POISONING from this place. I would not recommend going back to this place even if it was the last place on earth that had food. I admit it. The Pho at Kim's is the best I have had since 1967/68 when I was lucky enough to share meals with a Special Forces A-Team at Lang Vei prior to it being over run by the North Vietnamese in February 1968. The Mama San who was the cook for the Team made a wicked Pho, as well as other dishes, and I always use the memories of those meals when judging Vietnamese food. This is the first restaurant I have found that really, really takes me back in time. Everything on the menu is top-notch. Had dinner there with my father-in-law the other night and he had the Vietnamese Pork and Seafood Noodle Soup. The portions were huge and for the first time in years he made it a point to ask for a doggie bag to take his soup home for the next day. The smile on his face as he ate his meal was worth the price of admission. I had a large bowl of Eye of Round Steak with extra basil and bam, I was back in the Team house enjoying some of the best Vietnamese food I ever ate. The broth for the Pho is outstanding, you can taste the various flavor layers as you savor the soup. Think this is going to be the new family favorite. read more

I'm a pho lover and tried more than 15 Pho restaurants in East Coast. This one's environment is the best I've ever experienced. The service is friendly, though not very fast since it's big and doesn't have many waiters. The menu is so rich that I've never saw before. I tried Pho and my wife selects another noodle soup. The broth is average above level though not the top one, and the price is reasonable considering the decoration it has. Overall, the taste is good and I'll definitely try other dishes in the future. read more

2 stars for great food but very poor service. I ordered the grilled lemongrass pork, which I have had at other Vietnamese restaurants in the area and this was most delicious. For appetizer, myself and my date, my almost 2 year old son :) had chicken satay. My baby loved it ate it right up from the stick! My server was nice but very very inattentive. It was a busy Friday night but he didn't come to my table except for the first time which of course I ordered waters. I had to raise my hand to get him to 1) take my order 2) add steamed veggies to my order 3) ask for more spoons 4) getting the check! Everything! At one point, their phone rang at the same time he saw my hand up, and he nodded at me and walked away answering the phone. Finally, my toddler is a very active, talkative, messy...little boy. Of course he grabbed rice with his hand and spilled some water and threw his plastic spoons on the floor and banged the table. The entire serving staff gave us judgmental glances and at the end when we were walking away, they were visibly shocked at the messiness my toddler made. I even cleaned up some of it, and left a decent tip even though my server did not really earn it. I would not recommend this place for families read more

Have been coming to this place since 2011, and it keeps changing names and managers, but the same family owns it. Each transition upgrades the interior, but the food remains excellent. They should have a sign that says "new management, same cook, always awesome." After 3 transitions the place is seriously nice on the interior and the bar is great. Now they have a happy hour that's outstanding- 3$ craft beers, 5$ martinis, and 4$ plates of fantastic good. Perfect place for dates, biz lunch, and families. The crispy spring rolls here are to die for. The soup broth, however, has a flavor that isnt in other pho places... its almost like basil but stronger and not as pleasant. I have had Bo Luc Lac (Shaky Beef), grilled pork with vermicelli noodles, and Banh Xeo, and have really enjoyed all three. The prices are reasonable. I don't even know where to begin I'm highly upset and felt discriminated against. First and foremost I didn't leave a tip. Which is something I never ever do unless warranted. After Class my girlfriend and I decided to meet at Home Depot after we stopped in to Kims Pho just for a quick beer and conversation. The atmosphere and furnishings/decor of the restaurant are beautiful. We sat at the bar and ordered 2 beers. The waitress then tells us that we wouldn't be honored the happy hour price as advertised until 7PM because we ordered draft beer (the happy hour listing in the menu states draft and bottle beer $2.99) Then she backtracked and said that happy hour is only for bottle beer then she said actually we dont have happy hour today because of President's Day. Didn't make any sense to me but no big deal. So we get our beer drink talk .. I then hear this same lady talking with a customer in Vietnamese and i hear "Mi Den this .. Mi Den that" I've traveled all over Vietnam and have a ton of Vietnamese friends. I know what "Mi Den" means. If you're uncomfortable with black people dining in your establishment how about putting it on the door maybe?? And not one single time did our waitress/bartender check back if we possibly wanted to order another beer? I've worked in the restaurant industry and if you don't check back on your guests then you're only hurting yourself and the business. So we finish our beers without being asked to order another one so we ask the younger waitress kindly for the check. She gives me attitude then tells me give her 10 seconds! Clearly I wasn't demanding the check right then and there I was only asking for you to grab it when you had the chance. I put the card in the check book and put the check book up vertrically implying that I'm ready to pay my form of payment is in the book. I had to literally flag someone down after waiting 15 minutes to pay. I didn't leave a tip and I don't think anyone else in my shoes would of either. I got excited when I saw this place and wanted to come back and try the pho and tell my friends about my recent discovery but I will never step foot in this establishment again. He gave me good recommendation when i had no idea what i should get. Very attentive and funny guy. I got so much enjoyable meal. I definitely come back really soon. Had a server actually argue with us about a selection of dishes on their menu. Fish sauce does not belong anywhere near their VEGETARIAN MENU. The server just looked at us like we were dumb, and then we had to actually tell him what could be used as a substitute sauce. If i can give less than 1 start, i will do it. I came today to the restaurant and BEFORE to order we gave a coupon of 25$ to our waitress and then We proceed with the food order. Food came 25 min later and to be fair, it was good; standard food. We finished and asked for the check and then a lady came saying that they don't accept those coupons anymore. We started to complain and challenge the lady since we provided the coupon BEFORE order the food and nobody told us anything about the validity of he coupon. After several rounds the owner (a very "presentable" lady) joined us and she started with the same history of not accepting the coupon and blaming the company that sold it to us; she said it was an scam. She tried to offer us 10$ but we wanted the 25$ offer that we got and we will not leave the place without the 25$. She started to disrespect us and point that the coupon and company that printed were not legit. After 15 minutes of complaining, she made a call to somebody else and with no word the other lady came back with the check and the 25$ offer was applied to our check. Immediately, we noticed that she started screaming and yelling to the waitress that we provided the coupon. She yelled in front all customers disrespecting the waitress in all the ways. Then she left the table, not even with a sorry word to us or to any customer. We noticed that she has a problem of angry management and we feel so sorry for their employees. A restaurant like this is not worth to come back because the behavior of this person. This place is AMAZING. My boyfriend and I went in late one night.We were craving pork vermicelli, nothing else would do. Everywhere else was closed, but fortunately Kim's stays open until 10:00PM. First off, we were immediately struck by how nice the inside of the restaurant is. The ambiance is very comfortable and classy. The lights were dimmed, the interior design was very nice, and the soft music playing was relaxing. Our server appeared to be the manager of the place. He was incredibly helpful and talkative, telling us the differences between each dish. We decided to get the combo dish, which comes with all the regular delicious goodies of a pork vermicelli bowl plus two grilled shrimp for only $1 more. Our food arrived at the table with the usual quickness of a Vietnamese place, and WOW!!! Everything about it was amazing. Seriously. Everything. The shrimp were grilled to perfection, the pork was perfectly seasoned, the portions were amazing, the other ingredients were fresh. Our first visit was perfection. I really like the food here and use to come often. They were very friendly at first and I was not going to yelp but after I tried to give a second chance I was disappointed by their service again. I understand as I am in the food industry as well that when a place closes it's inconvenient to walk in right before they close. However the establishment closes at 930 and I showed up at 9. They were not willing to seat me and said we close at 930. I looked at the time to double check. I said it's 9pm. And they told me I would have to eat quickly. I left and was very surprised because the waitress' know me but were all u kind that night. I said ok well they must be tired it's ok. Today I go in for some bubble tea. I asked for lychee and avocado. A guy comes after me and orders mango and avocado. I pay for my drinks and the waiter comes and whispers we are out of avocado can you pick another flavor. No big deal, I chose another flavor. However the customer who was after me double checked his order and was still getting his avocado one. Special treatment is unfair. On top of that, they told me they would punch my boba card next time and that they owe me. I didn't understand why they couldn't do it then.
