The place everyone is raving about. Plan ahead because they tell you when you can pick up your pizza. Small carry out with picnic tables in the back. Super cracker thin crust with spicy sauce and good sausage. I would prefer a milder sauce, too much heat for my taste buds. read more

We are huge thin cracker crust fans here - we love Pats, Vito and Nicks, and Geos on Harlem, but love to add new places to our list. We were so excited to try their cracker crust pizza and didn't believe the reviews that claimed it was too thin. Welp, after trying two of their pizzas tonight, we see exactly what those comments were about. Edges were crumbly and the dough was bland. Just no flavor at all. The sauce and cheese ratio was ok but it just didn't wow us at all. We wanted to love it but it fell flat. Given how difficult it is to get your phone order in, then a huge long wait for them to cook your pizza once you get through, and the fact there's no real eating area, we likely won't return. Maybe if we lived nearby we'd try it again, but we just didn't feel it was a good value for the hassle and pizza that wasn't as special as we were hearing it is. On a positive note, the staff seemed very friendly and they seemed to be running a busy service so hopefully they will do well. It just wasn't for us. Geos remains our family favorite for awesome thin cracker crust in the burbs. (Seriously you need to try their sausage and garlic thin crust!) Glad to see they're doing well and that there's a new option for that area though. read more

Prices are way too high for a 14" pizza. If they lower the prices you might get more customers. I will not pay that much for a 14" super thin pizza. Price it right so you get more business. just saying... read more

The is a great crispy thin crust pizza, but we found the flavor to be lacking. Not sure if it was the sauce or seasoning but the pizza was bland. The service was prompt and staff was courteous but there is better pizza in the area. read more

Overall this was average (to a little below). One sausage with extra cheese pizza left us disappointed, very minimal ingredients. Most of the reviews talk about their specialty pizza's so maybe those are better. Seems like a great family business but for that price, Lou's or Zazzo's is significantly better quality and more ingredients. read more

Ordered the other evening at 6 pm , was told 45min for pick up, normally 25 minutes at other places. When we arrived at 6:45 was told 15 minutes more. After another 15 minutes we were told the pizza was not in the oven yet and it would be another 30 - 35 minutes. That would be an hour and 45 minutes for a pickup, unacceptable. This is some really good thin crust tavern style. Probably some of the best. Crust has a perfect char to it just like I like it. All ingredients are of high quality. As most others have stated; wait times can be astronomical. So I really can only come here when I have the time to plan ahead. They offer only one size and the pizza is cracker thin so if you have a big appetite or big family 1 pizza is definitely not going to cut it. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is the pizza is VERY salty compared to all my other favorite spots. It is very noticeable but not to the point of being inedible. I originally thought it had to do with the pepperoni or sausage but after trying a plain cheese and a veggie pizza the same problem remains. Not sure if it's because of the sauce or the cheese they use has a high salt content. I've seen several reviews utter the same sentiment and mostly every body who I've tried to turn on to this pizza has felt the same. This place is still a must try but I hope they address this asap because if they do it's the perfect pizza. read more

We had heard a ton of hype so had to check it out. We ordered a half pepperoni, half sausage and an order of meatballs. The pepperoni half was much too salty and the sausage half was ok but very little sausage. Overall, the crust tasted like it had been burnt. The meatballs were OK, but undercooked. Best cracker-crust pizza in the western suburbs. Might be better than Vito & Nick's, the supposed Chicago standard.

Kim's super thin crust and well caramelized cheese reminds me of Vito and Nick's. My one criticism is that the seasoning is heavy handed...too much red pepper flakes and dried herbs. Apart from that Kim makes a really nice cracker crust pizza so if you like your tavern style pizzas really thin and crisp Kim's is for you. read more

I honestly believe this is the best thin crust you will find in the western suburbs. I truly loved when Kim owned the place and still think that was simply the best pizza ever. I wish they would expand the menu a little to add a "Kim's Classic" to the menu and make the old pizza, not to take anything away from the thin, it is a very tasty and crispy thin which most restaurants can't get right. They did!! I will be back for it, but I really miss Kim's middle weight crust that had the crisp bottom and a little weight and chew above with the delicious helping of sauce , I do think they kept the same sausage which I appreciate,but that with the heavy amount of whole milk mozzarella was just a dream pizza that I miss. I hate to compare but can't help it. With all said though, I think this is the best thin crust around right now. Dare I say, and I will. Better than Vito&Nick's which is a high benchmark. read more

nothing like the original Uncle Petes.....crust ok ......they added parmesan cheese which overwelmed the pizza. Will be going to Uncle Petes in Naperville which still use the original recipe.......wont be going back Kims Uncle Pizza.....I knew Kim and I think she would be embarassed by the newly opened store in Westmont! read more

Some good. Some bad. First off I'm a pizza fanatic. When I moved to the burbs I had a psychological meltdown concerned we would never have pizza as good as the city. That has largely proven true. Dans pizza in downers is acceptable. Giordanos for stuffed is okay. Gia Mia for neopolitan adequate albeit inconsistent. Everything else is pretty bad, some really bad. So I was anxious to try Kim's as I had heard good things. They nail it on the crust. Like probably the best In the area for this style. Thin and crispy but not hard, which isn't easy to do. The pepperoni seemed good but overcooked and sausage okay. Vege toppings okay but not great, kind of lost like minced up too much.. Sauce and cheese inadequate in quality and quantity, at least for this style of pizza. Quality more important and didn't sense that here of course it's hard to sense that when overcooked - like a dried out filet mignon, how do you tell if it was a good cut?. Pizza is over cooked such that it seizes up. And there is way too many sprinkles going on of both Parmesan and spices - like when you try to hide things. I think that is why they have some high ratings, there is a flavor bomb effect here but it fades rapidly and becomes overwhelming unless you are the type who eats just two squares( I eat quite a few more than that). If you look at the very best pizzas from Italy they are actually quite simple and you can find that at Spaca Napoli in chicago. In sum, there is promise here but they need some work. Use that great crust, don't overcook and work on the balance and quality of ingredients. Then you will be legend. One pizza lover to another. read more
