Food was delicious! We got the Chicken, Steak, and Lobster. The chef was so nice and all the ingredients were made right in front of us. Also the Yum Yum sauce was delicious! The reason I am unfortunately giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the service afterwards when I received my check. The waitress came to the table after fifteen minutes and we used a card. When we looked at the tipping on the screen the 20% tip was $8.90 (was the highest you could select) so I clicked that. I assumed based on the prices that the chef was already being paid and the tip was for the waitress. I also wanted to add that the waitress we had didn't seat us, and came only ONCE to give us drinks at the beginning of our meal. She didn't offer us refills until we got the check at the very end. She then thanked us and we asked for a plastic bag for our takeout. Ten minutes later she came back to the table with no plastic bag. She proceeds to berate me and asks me how she is going to pay the chef and her with only $8! This approach made me and my friends extremely uncomfortable. I apologized and I explained to her that the 20% on the screen where I tapped my card only said $8.90. She looked at me and sighed at me in anger. We left with our food after but with no bag as we were uncomfortable to ask again after she confronted us like that. read more

I was in town for the weekend and my Dad took us to Kimura. He promised a delicious dinner. It was Friday night around 7pm and the place was packed. But we were seated right away. Unfortunately we were hungry and the service was slow. But it was all worth the wait! My dad ordered Filet Mignon and fried rice for us. The chef cooked all of the food right in front of us and gave a show while he was cooking. Fried rice was delicious! Hot and well seasoned. At the same time he grilled fresh vegetables and they were amazing! Then he cooked the filets....oh the steak, rice and veggies in my mouth was like a perfect symphony!!! And the portions were huge. Spicy beef gyoza was 100% NOT spicy beef. It was pork. The salmons skin roll was bomb! Nice and crispy. The citi roll was good but was cut uneven. Some pieces were too big others were just right. Service 1/5: hostess told us we can have happy hour at the hibachi. This is not true. The server did not give us any happy hour prices for any of the items we ordered. From the soup, salad dressing, entrance and show, it's all just how you remember it, and if you've never been, this is the classic presentation. First the service was great! On a Friday we were seated within 10 minutes without a reservation. Party of 4 The server was very nice and knowledgeable, she was a young lady who seemed on top of things. The chef was nice, pretty decent in the tricks department but probably not their best showman. Food was excellent! Of course it's priced with the show and ambience factored in so I think the prices were pretty good. Soup: amazing beef broth that will have you wanting more salad: fresh and that signature dressing that has a carrot and ginger sorta vibe. It doesn't look pretty but it tastes wonderful. Steak and shrimp: steak was amazingly tender and juicy, the shrimp was maybe a tad overcooked. Rice was absolutely delicious! Maybe it was the hunger but I loved it! Also, the appetizers! I forgot to mention. The veggie gyoza is very tasty, highly recommend. Light as well so it's good with such heavy entrees Mexican Roll is a MUST! Heck, order two! You won't regret it. Perfect way to start. Finally the price wasn't bad. I had a few top shelf drinks and two appetizers and me and my date both had combo entrees (steak and shrimp, and shrimp and scallop) and Bill was around 100 before tip. It was one of the best visits at this restaurant. We came here to celebrate my daughter's yellow belt in karate and had Sherby as a server and Alex as the cook. Exceptional, incredible, and delicious!! Wonderful service from Shelby always there with refills and checking if we needed anything and Alex was so entertaining and funny and the food he made was PERFECT. Just so good. Always such a treat to come here but this particular visit was the BEST by far. I hope we get them both again. :) read more

Ooh I got a story for you.. Went there last night for my college graduation dinner and my parents had brought a beautiful personalized cake in for my graduation. Before coming in, they called the restaurant to make sure it was okay to bring in a cake and they said yes. At my dinner the waiter took my cake in the back to keep cold while we were eating. At a different table there was also another graduate and we both finished eating around the same time. A few minutes goes by and I see MY cake getting served to the other graduate as she blew out my candles and took pictures with my cake that had my name right on the top.( the graduate said she thought it was a surprise from her family and didn't read what the cake said) after she blew out my candles and took photos, the waiter I had took the cake and tried to light the candles in front of me as I told him no as someone else just blew out all my candles and touched my cake. The waitress who gave my cake away to the other graduate said she just assumed that it was her tables cake even though she knew nothing about who the cake was for!! Very uneducated staff working there and I was then out of a graduation cake. The lady who gave my cake away should be FIRED for assuming that my special cake was for one of HER tables. I'm very disappointed and i suggest you all go somewhere else where the staff is more educated than here. read more

My first time there. I shared the steak teriyaki and the Yum Yum roll with my friend. The roll is my new favorite. The steak was good but not as tasty as I thought it would be but it was cooked perfectly. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because when I left the restaurant, I smelled like I was in the kitchen of the restaurant. It was in my hair and in my clothes. When you're craving hibachi there's no need to travel to anywhere else. Good food, good service, and very reasonably priced. We only come when we are celebrating some special occasion, so there are normally at least 6 of us coming from all over the area. Parking is free and plentiful. No matter when you enter the staff is always welcoming to us. The area is always clean and the chefs are very entertaining. Food is for the most part always good. There was maybe once or twice that a chef wouldn't come out with all ingredients (sauces) and would have to wave someone else down to grab it or walk away and grab it themselves. Minor awkward pause in the flow. Bartender is great because their cocktails kept us giddy past our meal. What I love most about the place, when they get extra busy, it's all hands on deck. Even the manager will be seen clearing tables or bringing items to guest. We always leave stuffed, some with to go boxes. Warning - If you are looking for a quiet place - this isn't it! This place is loud. Especially on the weekends... extra loud but that's all good when you're celebrating. read more

I love Kimura. Anytime I'm craving hibachi this is my go-to place. I like how they have noodles available to cook on the hibachi. At Saitos, they don't even have it. Been here multiple times and never had a problem with the food. They have good and fun hibachi chefs. Prices are reasonable. You for sure won't leave hungry ordering hibachi. I've never been able to finish my meal so it's nice to have leftovers. read more

I will tell you this I had great hopes for this place. I ordered the buy one get one free roll that was supposed to be shrimp tempura well about 14 of the 18 roll pieces had no shrimp in sight. That's number one number two the ones that did arrive on my doorstep were translucent and as a chef, I'm pretty sure I know that means they weren't cooked. The salad I received for six dollars the lettuce was red already meaning going rotten. The dressing was absolutely disgusting. It felt like when I took one by. It felt like someone had taken their grandmother's carrot juice as some white vinegar and stirred it together. They didn't even take the time to modify. It was terrible and then the dumplings I mean, how do you mess up a dumpling but you know what I bought the same one couple weeks ago at the Asian market so you know that's one thing you can't do wrong except for when you serve it with a "dipping sauce that is basically sesame oil, soy sauce and submarine onion. These are the laziest fucking people I've ever met in my life I will never ever get food from them again. God knows how long they've had that food in the freezer and quite frankly, I'm disgusted. First of all they DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. When we got there I asked why and the hostess said the phone had been out of service and she said a month. Then she proceeded to tell us that their credit card machine has been down. I asked how long and she said 3 weeks and they only take cash. What service business can operate this way?
