Service: We went to this restaurant to eat hibachi, the "show" was pretty good, the chef was very attentive and made a good show for my nephew. The cook was laughing and joking all the time. we had a great time. Food quality: It is a Japanese restaurant. The food is good, the hibachi portions are large. This restaurant specializes in sushi and hibachi. We ordered hibachi and it was good. I don't know about sushi. Price: Hibachi prices vary between $ 22 and $ 26, it all depends on the type of protein you choose for the hibachi. I do not recommend sharing a hibachi dish because it is more expensive. We ordered 3 hibachis (1 was sharing), 2 beers, 1 soda for around $128 plus tip (4 people and 1 kid). Atmosphere: Similar to any other Hibachi restaurant or sushi place, the restaurant is not big. I have always recommended Kimura to all and tried to take first timers as well. Tonight was an experience i cannot come back k to for while. We arrived sat at table and eyes burned for the first 39 minutes along with it being almost hot inside as our side. Then took forever to get drinks. Then our hibachi cook came and you can tell he's newer side. He was slow but very nice. However serving raw chicken to me and then cook saying let me make it right and asked the back of house to make it was last straw. I'm pretty sure they took my shrimp and chicken re cooked and added the same veggies back to plate with raw chicken. If you value your safety stay away until they fix their shit. Wasn't even half booked tonight so possibly others already no. They were too freaking cheap to refire a complete meal and charged me for fried rice i said no to twice. read more

We came here as a party of 6 for my daughter's birthday - we had a reservation for hibachi. I gave them 4 stars instead of a 5 because they basically made us sit in a particular order in case another party came in and wanted to sit down. Honestly, it was a Monday night- no one else was coming in so late- they close at 10. This was a bit annoying since I knew no one else was comings The person who did the hibachi was excellent and engaged us all. They made my daughter happy and that was most important. We all did hibachi and we had a mix of chicken, shrimp and steak. The soup was pretty good (miso with mushrooms) and I always love the salad (I usually ask for the dressing on the side but this time I forgot so there was too kick on it). The rice and the proteins were delicious and I was very happy with it. We skipped the dessert since the next day was her actual birthday and we were doing a brunch for her with her friends. Definitely one of the best hibachi places in South Florida. They give you an option to upgrade to chicken fried rice instead of the regular hibachi fried rice, that's definitely the way to go! Me, my wife, our three kids and my wife's mom arrived at 7:45pm on a Saturday night and it was lit! There was a line outside. We tried calling earlier to see the wait time but they didn't answer. I think they we simply too busy. Anyway... we were seated by 9:00pm. I ordered a rum and coke from the bar which was surprisingly empty while we waited. My wife had a cranberry vodka, and the kids ordered apple juice and water. When we sat down for hibachi , our waitress took our food and drink order. I ordered the shrimp, my wife and mother-in-law ordered the filet mignon, and the kids had chicken. Our chef was HONDA. He's the truth! Funny and great energy! The kids left happy! So I was treated to an early bday dinner here with my family. I've driven past here several times and didn't think of trying it. Well, I'm so glad we went here because the service and food were excellent! My sister and brother in law ordered ny strip and filet mignon hibachi dinners and I ordered chicken and shrimp. We all added fried rice to our orders. We ordered the garlic noodles for my nephew. He devoured them and before he could eat the whole plate, we all had a taste and agreed that they were amazing. Our chef was great and the food was delicious. They came to sing happy birthday and we ordered fried tempura ice cream to share for dessert which was pretty decadent. Excellent! I was surprised at how great of an experience we had. I have been living nearby for the past four years and always seen this place busy but it's never was a place on our radar. That has now changed. used to drive down to Boca to a similar place...now we found one in our hometown. The portions were nice size the service and show by the chef was great. Impeccable customer service once you've had them you will not go to Saito's or Benihanas. I drive past both just to come here. Food is amazing chicken and shrimp hibach is my go to and it taste great here. Shrimp is nice and juicy, tender...yum. The chicken was a little over-cooked. I don't eat red meat but the party of 3 sitting across from me all had steak and there plates were wiped clean...literally! They cater to the little ones as well making sure they enjoy the show and are comfortable (safety wise) and even have the learning chopsticks for them as well. My first time at a Hibachi place... I know, everyone was as surprised, as you probably are, when they found out. Anyways, it was fun and delicious. While we waited for our whole party to show up, we sat at the bar for some drinks. Bartenders where friendly, quick, and drinks are not expensive. I had a Mojito for $8, a bit sweet for my taste but still good. We're now escorted to our table... For those that have never been to one of these types of restaurants, it's OK that other people sit at the same table, they share here. Yup, it took me by surprise to see strangers sit right next to me but, at the end, is even more fun since you end up talking to them and everyone having a great time. Our meal started with a Miso Mushroom soup, perfect for the cold weather, followed by a salad - not a fan of the sweet dressing, it had the consistency of half melted sugar. Now, we're ready for our cook, Jeff. Unfortunately he told us right up front his arms were hurting so we didn't get his usual show, still he was very chatty and entertaining. Lucky for me, G-Unit was at the table next to us and I got to see him singing, throwing plates in the air and catching them with his head / hat. Back at our table, Jeff created a volcano with onions, pouring some oil in them, then firing it up, after that some soy sauce giving the effect t of lava coming out - pretty cool. They prepare the fried rice right in front of you, making music with the salt and pepper shakers every time they season the food, and maybe a little bit in your drink too, if you're not paying attention. Vegetables were absolutely delicious, zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, onions, I would have had a whole bowl of it. Now for the protein part of the meal. I chose their steak and scallop combo. Steak is cooked to your preference (medium-well, please) perfectly, and well seasoned. Scallops were cooked just right and tasted even better with the fish sauce they serve on the side. Try the sauce with the shrimp too... For birthdays or special occasions, they come out with a gong, and a slice of cake, and the staff sings to you in Japanese. They also take a picture and print it for you to take home - cool little extra step on their part, points for that. Glad I got to experience my first Hibachi dinner... It's about time I made in it here for some hibachi after a few years of driving by this place nearly every day. A friend of mine managed to get a reservation for a group of 8 a couple days before we went and it was a lot of fun. The steakhouse was bigger than expected and they have a lot of seating for the hibachi and restaurant side. There is also a decent size bar to take advantage of some drinking while you're waiting. We couldn't be seated until everyone in our group was there and they placed us near the back of the restaurant at one of the hibachi tables. There's 10 people that can sit around each grill and we got to sit with another couple we didn't know. Some can be friendly and some are not. ;) If you have been to a Japanese steakhouse before, then you know the drill. A chef cooks the food in front of you while doing some tricks in between. A volcano made out of onions and having some protein thrown at you to catch with your mouth are some of the things that happened to us the other night. I got the filet mignon and chicken combo with white rice and veggies. I'm a huge fan of the fried rice, but I decided to do the trick with ordering the white and putting soy sauce over it. Mmmmmm. All of the food was great and the yum yum sauce is a must for the meat. It adds additional flavor and makes a nice finish for the protein. The service was good and it didn't take us long to get out of there. I felt like I was in a drunk food coma before leaving because they give a lot of food for the price. I ate mostly everything on my plate and it was so damn good. The entertainment that's provided with the food is cool. How often do you get to watch a chef fling condiment containers, knives, eggs, meat, etc. in front of you while cooking your food fresh and delicious? Sign me up for next time! read more

First off, I enjoy eating Hibachi more than any buffet, so I walked in with high expectations. And to say the least, Kimura was a hit for me! We got there kind of late (40mins til closing) and they were packed so we didn't sit at the hibachi tables instead we sat at the bar. Our hostess seated us and then Danny took care of us. The place is pretty big. Wide definitely. If you didn't sit at the hibachi table, you could definitely still see the shows the chef puts on, which I thought was pretty cool. One chef was juggling flames so cool. Since it was late we just ordered entree and they didn't take long at all to come out. The filet was DELICIOUS !!!!!!! Shrimp was seasoned to good taste. Rice is good consistency, if you follow my reviews you know I hate soggy rice. Lol the veggies on point. They gave you a good amount of veggies. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars was the soup and salad that came with the meal. The mushroom was dry even though it was in the soup and the salad dressing was too peanutty.
