We went to Kin Dee for lunch with about 6 people and they accommodated us pretty quickly. There was a good amount of people inside and nice Thai decor and ambience. We got spring rolls for the table and I ordered the Kao Kanah Moo Grob which is stir fried crispy pork belly and kanah/chinese broccoli (as I know it) in a savory sauce. I also got Thai tea which was sweet, creamy, and robust. The spring rolls were crispy and went well with the sauce - pretty standard appetizer. Our waitress advised me to go with the pork belly over the boat noodles since they are known for their pork belly, and I'm so glad I ordered it! The pork belly has that satisfying crunch from the bubbled skin and the meat was still juicy. I love kanah in all dishes and the sauce pulled everything together. Sweet, salty, savory, garlicky- so good and the whole dish is really drenched in it! I got mine with brown rice instead of white rice. I will say it's definitely a heavier meal and I was in a slight food coma after this. Delicious, authentic food and friendly, fast service. While perusing the menu I noted that they had on choy (aka swamp grass, water morning glory, kangkong) - one of my favorite vegetables! So we ordered that, along with Sua Rong Hai (aka crying tiger), Pad See Ew with Tofu, and Ginger Garlic Rice. All dishes were a hit with us! We had so much food we ended up taking them home. Bellevue is becoming an increasingly saturated market for a broad variety of Asian food, and Kin Dee is one of the latest newcomers to the scene. It presents itself with a modern, understated exterior tucked into a Redmond strip mall; inside, the space feels contemporary yet warm, with minimalist décor, soft lighting, and lots of wood accents that strike a balance between casual comfort and refined dinner vibes. At 6:30pm on a Friday night, the restaurant was mostly full, but they had room for my party of two to be immediately seated. There's an energetic hum at dinner service, but it never felt too loud or chaotic. The menu is quite comprehensive, with more Americanized pan-Asian options like fried spring rolls and Pad Thai, as well as more adventurous, street-food inspired items like their "Mama Mor Fire" and Hoi Jor (fried bean curd rolls with crab, shrimp, and pork). There's many options for different dietary needs, with many of the entrees having customizable proteins, and restrictions like Gluten-Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian are clearly delineated on the menu. My brother began with their Thai Ice Tea ($5.50), which was beautifully presented with an ombre of creamy half-and-half and amber tea; it wasn't too sweet, and the flavor of the tea stood out, but he did acknowledge that it wasn't a great value, as more than half of the glass was ice. He also ordered their Spring Rolls ($9.95), which is six pieces of expertly-fried, crispy rolls filled with flavorful vegetables and chewy bean thread noodles, and fresh cucumber, lettuce, and carrots with a housemade sweet chili sauce on the side. It's not the most traditional dish, but it's a great crowd-pleaser done quite well. For entrees, my brother opted for their Kao Moo Daeng Moo Grob ($19.95), which is one of their signature dishes: it's a combination dish of their housemade barbeque pork (very similar to Chinese char siu), crispy pork belly, Chinese sausage, and boiled egg, cucumber, green onion, pickled ginger, jasmine rice, and a drizzle of a savory-sweet, gravy-like sauce. It's also served with a spicy black soy sauce on the side to add a kick. This was a delectable mix of tastes (rich pork, savory sausage, acidic onions and ginger, and sweet sauce) and textures (crunch, softness, chewiness, and more), with a generous portion of meats, although we did note that the dish came out lukewarm, not hot. I chose their Kao Soi Nua ($22.95), which was truly the standout dish of the night; banana beef shank simmered to a pull-apart texture sits atop a creamy, perfectly spicy-sweet coconut-milk-based stew with toothsome egg noodles. The dish is garnished with a nest of crispy egg noodles, red onions, lime, and pickled mustard greens, which cut through the decadence of the rest of the components. This was a huge portion of soup, and I left feeling full, yet not greasy or sick, despite the richness of the dish. In terms of price point, it's noticeably pricier than the average Thai takeout spot, but I feel as though the upscale atmosphere, unique dishes, and large portions justify the price. Ordering on their website was super easy too. I went with an order of Ba Mee Moo Daeng and Kao Pad. Both were ridiculously good. My friends and I came here to celebrate a belated birthday last month. We arrived at 5:30pm on a weekday and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. We ordered family-style for six of us and had the... - SPRING ROLLS ($9.95) - these are actually egg rolls as they are deep fried and not your rice paper rice rolls. They come with bean thread noodle, carrots, and cabbage and are served with a sweet chili sauce and fresh veggies on the side. They were super hot and crunchy - just be careful biting into them as I definitely burned my mouth trying to eat one! - KAO SOI NUA ($22.95) - Simmered banana beef shank in a creamy, spicy-sweet coconut milk-based stew. Served over egg noodles and garnished with crunchy fried egg noodles, red onions, lime and pickled mustard greens. This kao soi had a red curry base which was unusual as all kao sois I have had before have a yellow curry base. Although the description says "hot" and "spicy", I thought it was on the mild side, perhaps because the coconut milk cuts a lot of the heat. The dish was nice and creamy and I enjoyed the slightly sweet and sour mustard greens on top to complement the sweet and savory curry. This dish was hard to share though as the noodles all stuck together and curry splashed everywhere as we tried to serve it. Oh well - it was still very yummy! - KAO NA PED ($22.95) - delicious roasted duck and jasmine rice with a unique gravy sauce. Served with streamed Yu Choy, cucumber, green onion, pickled ginger and spicy black soy sauce. I really enjoyed this dish even though it was on the sweeter side. The duck was very well marinated and had nice gamey flavor. I would order the duck again. - KAO MOO KRA THIAM KAI DAO ($17.95) - this was a dish I've never had before, but was the table's FAVORITE DISH. Dried version. It consists of stir-fried sliced pork with house made garlic sauce served with jasmine rice and fried egg, and topped with crispy fried garlic. The pork was sweet, savory, and crunchy with lots of fried garlic. It was unique as the breading almost reminded me of Korean fried chicken nuggets. If you are looking for a crowd pleaser, this is the dish! - PAD SEE EW (with chicken, $17.95) - we ordered this dish with chicken and 3 stars, which tasted more like a 4 star at other Thai restaurants and so they definitely don't go light on the heat here! The wide noodles were fresh and came with some protein and some choy. I wish it came with carrots and broccoli for some textural contrast, but it was still decent. Just nothing mind-blowing. The interior is clean and modern. They have maybe 10-12 tables or so and so it's not a large restaurant, but it was definitely not cramp or tight. I have frequented Kin Dee in Bellevue, many many many times. Overall all, a very strong pleasant experience. There has been a few times where our main dishes that we always order would come out not consistent as our previous visit. Since it has happened more than once, I fear that the inconsistency is a wild card. There are some great street food options, like their boat noodles which I love. And their fried prawn is delicious. So perfectly battered and deep fried to perfection. Their appetizers were lacking in depth of flavors and never did it for me. I always skip the appetizers now, but always always always.. get their Thai ice coffee. It's pretty amazing! Service is always friendly, and I have never had to fight for parking. I came here on a Friday evening around 6pm to have some dinner with a friend. It doesn't look like it from the outside, but the inside is brightly lit and feels borderline to a fine-dining restaurant. There's a nice mural on the wall just to the right of the entrance, and there seems to be bar seating deeper inside as well. I'd get here early since seating did fill up fast and it became a full house even before my friend and I got our food. We each got their Kao Moo Daeng Moo Grob, which is a classic Thai street food dish. There was a ton of things inside the dish like BBQ pork, Chinese sausage and crispy pork belly slices. All the meat was really juicy and tender, and you could hear a nice crunch coming from the pork belly when you bite into it. The sweet sauce was a little overpowering when mixed with the sweeter meats like the Chinese sausage but overall didn't interfere with the taste of the other parts of the dish. The spicy black soy sauce on the side went pretty well with the meats too. I was also surprised when I saw a whole uncut green onion on my plate and then found out that it can be eaten as is. Located in the Bel-Red neighborhood in a business strip with many other eateries and shops, parking can be tricky during prime dinner time. But there's plenty of parking. The space isn't huge, but enough seating for groups. Service was great, with fast service and water glasses never being empty. The menu features a lot to choose from, with classic Thai dishes and more regional ones. I like that they offer different dishes here compared to other Thai restaurants in Bellevue. My partner and I ordered the Nua Nam Tok salad to share and he had the Kao Ko Moo, a pork shank dish with rice, mustard greens and hard boiled eggs and I had the Mama Mor Fire, which is only offered for dine-in and is a Thai hot pot dish with crispy pork. Everything was tasty and spice level was legit. I ordered my dish with three stars and it tasted more like four stars; bring on the heat! It's just meat in flavorful soup but it was sooo amazing. A good level of spice and a bit of tanginess from the lime and lemongrass which was perfect with rice. They were nice of enough to let me take my leftovers home which barely fit in the to go container. I really enjoyed this dish and didn't know what to expect. Unfortunately it just comes as is so I'm not sure how I was supposed to eat it and maybe should have ordered a side of rice with it. Appetizers were all good especially the steak and money bag. They were in soft opening when I went but almost all the menu items have a picture when you scan the QR code they provide which is awesome and much appreciated! If I were to come back, I would get the Kao Moo Daeng Moo Grob since it contains what the Ba Mee Moo Daeng has but with a bit more variety in the proteins but the noodles in the Ba Mee Moo Daeng was pretty good. I've been to their Bothell location before and liked it, but I was especially excited for this new Bellevue spot because I am usually in this area. It seems like they've added more dishes to the menu here compared to what I remember from Bothell. I ordered the boat noodle soup and asked for pho noodles but ended up with something much thinner. Maybe a miscommunication or language barrier, not sure? The meat in the soup was a little dry and I wish they offered some hoisin on the side for dipping. The broth was really flavorful and I loved the vinegary sauce that came with it. The restaurant is clean and small, I imagine it can get pretty packed at peak times. We frequent their Bothell location, and we are glad that this location serves some of our favorites from the other branches and something new. Their braised beef noodles (Guay Tiew Nua) is the bomb. The broth is rich and umami-laden, and the bowl is loaded with soft and tender beef banana-shank. This is a particularly flavorful but really tough cut. Cook it too hot and it turns dry and mealy. Not cooked for long enough and it is tough and fibrous. The shank here is perfect. There were also several pieces of gelatinous tender. The accompanying green chili sauce was amazing, going perfectly with the beef. My son had their chicken rice (Kao Mun Gai) for which he gave two thumbs up. Service was up to the warm, friendly level we are used to at all their branches. What was special in this branch is their ambience and decor. Earthy, and very Thai. read more

Stopped by during their soft opening for a quick solo lunch. Scored a table right away (lucky timing, because it filled up fast). First impression: super clean, bright, and open space. Started with the Sai Krok E-San (fermented pork sausage) and, ugh, so insanely good. It's got that tangy kick, but the real magic was pairing it with the ginger, Thai chili, and greens on the side. Totally elevated the flavors and made every bite even better. For my main, I went with the Guay Tiew Tom Yum Boran. I'm a sucker for sour, tangy soups, and this one hit the spot. The fish patty tasted freshly made, which is a huge upgrade compared to the fish balls I find in the freezer aisle at my local Asian market, which I usually toss into hotpot at home. Just had a nice family dinner at Kin Dee,Bellevue location. This is my first time eating here, a couple of our family members are gluten & dairy free & wanted to meet in the Bellevue area so I knew I wanted some kind of Asian food, this is where I chose. Great variety for our gluten free family members as well as those who did not have dietary extinctions. For appetizer we had some Crying Tiger Steak (GF), Shrimp in a blanket, and Fermented Pork sausage. We had 8 people, we probably could have either ordered one more appetizer or just doubled up on the Shrimp in a blanket since there were only 4 pieces. For dinner we each picked something that sounded good, we ordered 2 Larb with ground chicken but they also have ground pork. We got a crab fried rice, it was the only friend rice on the menu, kind of pricey at $29.95 but it did have big chunks of crab meat all through the dish. We also ordered the crispy fried tilapia topped with fried garlic which was also $29.95 but both these dishes were gluten free. One of us ordered the rice plate with roasted pork & BBQ pork, and we had chicken pad Thai (gf), beef pad see ew, and 2 different soup noodle dishes, the pink noodle soup which was also GF, and a 2nd noodle dish with fish cakes, stuffed tofu, and ground pork. All soup noodle dishes you get to pick the type of noodle from a list of 5 different noodles,,,I think that's a great option, so you can have 3 different types of rice noodle, bean thread or egg noodles. All of the servers are Thai & they helped us make some of our dish selections, they were attentive & helpful. I do think this is a great place for lunch or small parties if 2-4 people since they have a lot of different rice plates that aren't very shareable for a party if 8. Wow delicious!!! We stopped by for dinner and had the som tum buu pla ra with some sticky rice and ba mee moo daeng! They gave us generous portions of meat on the moo daeng. We scrapped our plates, it was all so yummy! Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in the area! Also the restaurant is clean and modern looking with nice big wooden tables. I ordered Kao Mun Gai, steamed chicken. The chicken was dry, tough and flavorless, nothing close to the soft, juicy meat this dish is supposed to have. There was no ginger aroma at all. The rice was okay, but the broth was bad: instead of tasting like fresh chicken stock, it was heavy, salty, artificial, and overloaded with peppery seasoning, without a single peppercorn in sight. Very disappointed as this dish should be a staple for a Thai place. Wouldn't recommend. Gave two stars because at least the staff was nice. read more
