    Salted egg yolk taro
    Jennifer T.

Came here to try something new. We ordered the Hunan fish and salted egg yolk taro. The Hunan fish was very customizable from what you wanted inside for veggies, noodles, etc. then you could also pick type of seasoning and spice level. We went with spicy pickles, taro, a choy, intestines, and tripe. The fried taro was amazing because it was not too salty or greasy. The service was so quick for what they serve and how busy they are. The place was really well kept and clean. It does get busy quick.

When they just opened, the quality was better. The last few times I went, the taste was not the same and the chicken wings sometimes not fresh taste. Parking is free but limited in. busy time.

Intestine dry pot, eggplant with century egg

It's been quite a while since i've been wow'd by sichuan chinese food and this spot did just that. Most of the dishes we got here were very authentic and right up my flavor alley. The eggplant with century egg was a favorite for me and my friend. It was the right mix of flavorful and garlicky. The intestine dry pot was also super delicious! Highly recommend as this was one of the best chinese food in bellevue if you like sichuan style cuisine.

    Tofu and beef
    Anna C.

This place is always pretty crowded when we walk in. Overall, I feel the restaurant's dishes are pretty oily, but it still tastes really good! Compared to other chili fish places, I feel like this fish does not have as much meat as other places though don't quote me on that. The ingrediends in the fish are really flavorful though. Beef has good flavor, however it is quite spicy. The tofu is our FAVORITE! The tofu is like mochi tofu, however beware that it can get quite spicy, especially if you do takeout!

I would honestly come here just for the dry pot beef alone. The green beans were nicely seasoned and went very well with the dishes we ordered as well. We also had ordered the sweet glazed duck and the sweet and sour ribs. The watermelon juice was also pretty good. Being able to order on the iPad was nice, and the servers were great about keeping our waters filled as well. I look forward to coming back and trying the spicy chicken wings as I've heard lots of good things about those!

This was my first time here, and I was truly impressed! I ordered the Dry Pot Beef, it was incredibly flavorful, rich, and delicious, definitely something I would come back for. I also highly recommend ordering their green tea with lemon, so refreshing and perfectly balanced. My husband got the Beef Trio, and the portion sizes for both dishes were huge, we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking a lot home. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly and impressively fast, and the whole dining experience felt warm and welcoming.Overall, a wonderful first visit, delicious food, generous portions, and great service. We'll definitely be back!

There was…read morea wait line but they serve fast and bring on 12th on the wait list took only 20 minutes. The space is open, bright and clean. We ordered The black fish fillet slices in pickled cabbage soup- it was very tasty. Huge portion for family style sharing. The tang from the pickled cabbage was very appetizing. It paired well with rice. The fried sliced potatoes with sliced pork and chili dry pot was also very good. Not a whole lot of pork mostly sliced potatoes with very good flavor so I didn't feel like I needed to have more pork. It tasted like the potato slices were deep fried and cooked in flavorful umami garlic and chili sauce. Another dish that's great with steamed rice. We also enjoyed the chewy bean jelly noodles in spicy sauce. It is quite refreshing as there is a nice tang to the spicy sauce. We ended the dinner with brown sugar ice jelly. It has some dried cranberries, a few pieces of tiny mochi, and almond flakes. It was delicious, and not too sweet. We look forward to be back to try the other dishes.

I've come for both lunch and dinner, usually shortly after they open, and never had to wait. Just looking at the crowd, you can tell this is an authentic place. As someone who travels to China frequently, this restaurant definitely meets my expectations. The Hunan-style spicy dishes really satisfy my craving for bold heat and flavor. I've tried the stone pot spicy tofu with meatballs, 梅菜扣肉 (braised pork with preserved vegetables), spicy lamb, stone pot black pepper beef, stinky tofu, and the fried oyster mushrooms. I loved all of them. These are the kind of dishes where you can easily finish a big bowl of rice--and still want more even when your belly is already full. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. Service was prompt, and one small detail really stood out to me: during my first visit, they actually replenished the napkins mid-meal. With spicy food and the inevitable runny nose, that level of thoughtfulness is appreciated!

Service : nonexistent Food: 9/10…read morePrice: standard but not worth for the horrible service. We spent about $600 for a party of 9. Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

About half the items were a-ok, the other half were fine and I would order it again (Garlic Pea Vines, Boiled Spicy Beef, and Hunan-style Soy Fried Rice). But the dish of the night was the Clay pot Bamboo shoot Pork Trotters and Chicken soup!!! That was sooo flavorful! That changed significantly in the next hour as there was a line out the door. Parking is at a premium and you may have to walk a little bit to get to the restaurant. Ordered the shrimp, fried rice and sweet and sour pork. I always have used fried rice as a good gauge of authenticity. The shrimp fried rice did not disappoint. Huge servings of shrimp and it was cooked without soy sauce being added so you could add it to taste. The sweet-and-sour pork was a generous portion, and I had a side of rice with it. It was flavorful and sweet and the pork was not overcooked. Great job. Also got an order of honey walnut shrimp. Generous sized prawns were used and they were delicious. I would recommend this for someone looking for an authentic Chinese experience

ROYAL KITCHEN @ BELLEVUE (crossroads)…read more Parking is pretty tight here, especially on the weekends when it gets super busy. Luckily, we were able to find a spot right out front, so I'd recommend slowly circling around and keeping an eye out for people leaving. I found this spot through Yelp and had been really craving good Chinese food, so I was super excited to finally try it. My family and I came without a reservation and were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was very busy. This place is definitely known for larger parties, there were lots of families and extended families dining together, which really gave it a classic family-style vibe. You order a bunch of dishes and share a little bit of everything, which I love. The staff were really friendly and greeted us right away with complimentary tea. Fun fact: in the mornings, tea is sometimes an extra charge, but in the evening it's free. We ordered a few dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp (which is my go-to order at any Asian restaurant), salt and pepper squid, house special vermicelli noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The vermicelli was a clear noodle dish loaded with different proteins like BBQ pork, squid, and shrimp. Everything had great flavor, but my absolute favorite was definitely the honey walnut shrimp. It was perfectly crispy and delicious. My only complaint is the portion size for the price, it was about $21 for roughly 10 pieces of shrimp, which felt pretty expensive. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for what you're paying. Toward the end of the meal, they treated us to a complimentary papaya soup, which was a light, fruit-based dessert soup and a really nice way to finish. Our total came out to about $80, so it's definitely on the pricier side for Chinese food. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and if you're in the Bellevue area, I'd still recommend stopping by.

And while we have often gone to the CID In Seattle, for many years and almost exclusively in recent years we have gone here and the previous business at the same location. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the staff is usually always fantastic and they bring the food fast!! Today the service and food was fantastic and ordered so much it almost didn't fit on a 4 top table. We love leftover dim sum! But at the end of the meal they brought me the completed card with a total at the bottom. Didn't look beyond the total before tip and just gave the nice (very young) hostess my card. A server brought back just the two credit card slips and the price was seemingly $20 more than what was presented to me on the service card!?? I politely asked to see the bill again and then a longhgggh wait...... Then a heavily altered card was brought back showing the new total. I was not happy suddenly and asked why it was altered from the first one etc and a big argument from the server began that I didn't proliferate but she kept on and on and could not explain why all the changes by pen and saying that she was honest etc. insisting we "do the math" over and over Now we may have ordered that much food, but I know for a fact that the bill was clean written without alterations and $20 less than the corrected one. But still she couldn't give me a valid explanation for the changes and new total. In my opinion the high school age hostess made a mistake adding up before presenting the total to me and someone else edited it before running my card. If they had just admitted that I would not have been so disappointed. I don't believe that the staff here are dishonest and understand about mistakes but they did not handle it very diplomatically and it was a scene I didn't want to make. But I know that this was not the total presented to me for payment! Take a pic of your service card before sending the credit card to be run!!! It absolutely ruined our family outing and everyone was quiet in the car ride home. Not cool!!

Noodle Nine delivers a genuinely authentic dining experience that feels like stepping into a slice…read moreof everyday Asia rather than a polished, commercialized version of it. From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.
