Smoked Chicken Ranch Sandwich, with Sweet Potato Tater Tots, and cornbread
    Allen E.

First off the service was outstanding! I ordered chicken wings buffalo medium......they were pretty good, I just like mine a bit more crispy. The flavor was spot on for a medium buffalo. I also ordered fries loaded with cheese and bacon.......and OH THEY WERE LOADED! Fries were fantastic, crunchy, hot and fresh, with at least 50lbs of mozzarella.....lol Wife ordered a smoked chicken ranch sandwich....she absolutely loved it. Great flavor very juicy. All in all we would stop by again to try the bbq, wish there was more of a selection of alcohol.

Great, small BBQ joint. Friendly service, generous portions, quality cooking. Reminds me of joints near Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Large menu. Brisket was great as were the St. Louis ribs. Collard greens good but a bit salty. Baked beans good. Very generous portions. I will definitely come back. Waitress couldn't have been nicer and polite.

Wow, stumbled into here when the other restaurant was closed. What a great find. My brother in law had the spicy southern Caesar with added chicken. He loved it. I had the beef barbacoa tacos and a pork slider and the waffle fries. The brisket was fabulous, as was the pulled pork. The amount of meat they serve is tremendous. We will come back. And they have guest wifi which is a prerequisite for a 5 star in my book

Our first time out to The Coops new spot in Shrewsbury. We wanted to try it out because the new location has a bigger area for eating ( the Millbury spot has very limited seating area). Nice location in downtown Shrewsbury, we didn't have any problem finding a street parking spot. The inside is decorated very nicely and they have table service. We both decided on the Rueben with Mac and cheese as we loved that at their other location. We also got a side of collard greens and cornbread. They had quite a few beers to pick from and my husband was happy they had some Jacks Abby beer (one of his favorites) and I got a sweet tea (although they had a few mixed drinks that sounded yummy). Our service was excellent and the sandwiches were amazing (we both could only eat half). I love their Mac and cheese too! Collard greens were almost as good as my recipe and cornbread wasn't too sweet. The Coop is one of our favorite spots to grab some southern food!!

With a name like the Coop, I thought they would have a ton of chicken sandwich options. The sandwich menu seems more shaped toward bbq. The sourdough is phenomenal. I really enjoyed the quality of the bread and the other ingredients. It was all fresh and made with care. Perfect cook on everything. Great seasoning. No complaints on the taste and quality. The Brisket, bacon, lettuce, and tomato was awesome. That's definitely a highlight. You should get that sandwich. You can see in the picture how tender and juicy it was. Epic sandwich. I was hoping for a range of chicken sandwiches but alas, The Coop doesn't seem to specialize in that. The closest I could come was some tenders on sourdough. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get a buttermilk fried chicken breast sandwich. I figured the Coop had to have something like that. Although my Jamaican tenders were expertly prepared and topped with fresh jalapenos, I was still wanting that breast experience. They charge per soda, as I guess put the cans into glasses so you don't know it's not fountain soda. I was surprised when the bill reflected that, assumed it was free refills. Just FYI. Feel like they should do fountain soda and give free refills since you pay a hefty price for the food. Overall it's a bit pricey but the quality is good, so it's justifed. I will come back to try other things. The chicken and waffles sounded good. This is a BBQ and burger place more than a specialty chicken shop. That said, they do a great job at that, just don't come in expecting a chicken focused menu.

Nice easy take out container, with blue cheese, and fresh carrots ... I would put a grill chat on carrots for added flavor

Food was meh. Service was meh. Would not go back, left nothing to be desired for. Barbecue was way too salty, especially the brisket.

I was just standing there thinking I was getting fast food and then resigned to the fact that I had to wait 15-20 minutes after I place my order, and he only told me after the order was done. I tried every one of the fried chickens that had like a Korean vibe and a lot of them tasted very similar and well. This was good. It wasn't anything I would go out of my way for again. The best thing to get here is the kimchi rice though, don't sleep on that.

Decided to finally try this place after noticing its opening months ago!…read more Food - honestly I was very surprised at the taste of both wings. I think if I had to change anything I would've ordered boneless for my garlic honey wings, and probably would've not got the secret sauce (it wasn't very complementary and the chicken didn't need it). If you do order the garlic honey wings expect INTENSE garlic flavor, I truly love garlic so this was a dream. The wings are also super crunchy, mine were not noticeably greasy in taste/texture either. For the golden original boneless you kind of get a sense of oh this is greasy since there's no sauce to really cover it up, but they were just as crunchy. I recommend the pickled radish as a palate cleanser, it really helped when the garlic was super overpowering. I cannot really comment on ambiance or service as we ordered online and did pick-up. However, be prepared to see a lot of doordashers picking up orders nonstop! Overall a 4.2/5 for me and my bf!

Nowhere does it say they are willing to swap out fries for side salad for an extra charge, but they will do it if you ask. Selling a bunch of strange things like stuffed animals and candles is not helping. Would love to see chicken breast, as they offer Leg, wing and tenders, but everyone knows breasts are the best. A little too much sauce on the fish sandwich, but otherwise very good. Hopefully, they will listen to some of these ideas, they are competing with the big boys up the street. Good luck!

We ordered the whole fried chicken and some nuggets with fries. The chicken is basically a whole chicken, the size of ones you'd find at Costco. In fact, thats how they described it to me when I asked...they themselves said Costco chicken. Chicken was very crispy and comes out piping hot! It does take about 20 minutes wait for it to cook. The nuggets were underwhelming and likely store bought and fried instore. Same with the fries. The prices were very reasonable. There are fountain drinks available. The place in side is huge and pretty bare. Too bad it is a tad out of the way from the Natick Mall. Plenty of free street parking available.

When you close your eyes & dream of the perfect buffalo sauce for wings, this is it. We also very much enjoyed the Loganberry BBQ with the char on the wings, not too sweet & a nice bit of heat. We were in the mood for a little something else so we ordered a small cheese pizza. YUM! We got to chat with one of the owners for a while & she couldn't have been nicer. She made us try the PJ's Crystal Beach Original Loganberry drink they have at the soda station. Not my cup of tea but hubby liked it (especially if you added a spritz of vodka!). For the competition, they were offering three of their signature sauces I went with the 716 Mulberry. Their menu describes it as a "Buffalo Base Sauce. It's a little twist on our buffalo medium". The wings came out hot and were so crispy. No breading, just a crisp wing with the perfect amount of sauce. The spice was medium in my estimation BUT I know a lot of people will find them a bit on the hot side. The base was definitely buffalo as advertised with added spices that really switched up in a nice way. They were on the salty side, but not in a bad way. I very much enjoyed their take on a traditional buffalo sauce. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. We went on a Sunday during football season so they had four screens playing the days games. Most people seem to be coming in for takeout which makes sense but they were plenty of tables for beauty said that if you plan to eat at the restaurant. They had both fountain and cooler, soft drinks and a beer selection on tap. They offer counter service and our cashier was very friendly and answered all my questions about the menu choices. They do charge about $17 for 10 wings which I find a bit on the pricey side however they are a good quality so if you're gonna splurge, you won't be disappointed in the wing

I've made a point to get to Franklin BBQ, Lewis BBQ in Charleston, South Carolina, Horn BBQ IN Oakland, CA, or even Matt's BBQ in Portland, OR. I feel like I can actually tell people something about good BBQ, and why it's worth visiting a place over others. The Purple Pig is run by a guy who grew up in Texas and obviously trained under some great pit masters. The place itself is really not much. There are two tables and a little bar to sit at. They have no restroom, which was pretty disappointing. Thankfully, the dispensary next door was very nice to let us use theirs. Anyway, my uncle and my nephew were with me and we were hungry, so we ordered their family dinner for $95. It had a full rack of ribs, a pound of brisket, two huge sausages, three sides and lots of cornbread. I think this is a great deal for the amount of food you get. After ordering the food came out very quickly. The beef brisket was really amazing. The cut he gave us was a perfect mix of fat and meat. The rub he makes is savory a good blend of salt, pepper and onion. It was really tender meat but also still had firmness as well. The pork ribs were perfectly cooked and fell off the bone nicely. I love the rub he makes for the ribs as well. It is both sweet and savory. The sausages were smoky and peppery. There were two sauces and both were Texan style with a tangy tomato base, but one was spicy and the other not. Both excellent! For the sides, the Cowboy Beans were a standout: these were some of the best beans I've had at a BBQ joint. The cornbread was also really good and the Mac and cheese was solid. The coleslaw was the only side that I thought was just pretty average. I hope that was a helpful review of things. They have so many other things to try on their menu, but sadly I won't be back in this area anytime soon. I hope others will venture out and find this place.
