i've been here twice and I love it. The food is fresh and hot. There are plenty of selections ranging from veggies to chicken, sushi, soup, fried foods, shrimp, rice, noodles, Chinese dishes, desserts, and more. I got a chance to eat a little bit of everything. It is very affordable, a great deal. I can eat as much as Id like for under $25. In a city full of specialized boutique restaurants where two items add up to $30 plus dollars, this Nashville buffet is a no-brainer. I drove across town to eat here and I enjoyed every moment of it. I'm not sure if it was the time we got there as it was the evening but the food was pretty cold which is strange considering it's under heat lamps, and the sushi was also a little warmer than I'm comfortable with but luckily no issues from it, it's also kinda pricey in my opinion as it was $30+ for two people, the service isn't bad though but as for the environment, I'd honestly say a remodel wouldn't hurt...or at least a super deep cleaning lol. read more

Let me start by saying everything was dry. Most of the orange chicken was fried flour. ‍ the ice cream had a grainy texture. The sushi had brown avocados. The soda was flat. The fried chicken was chewy and had a weird taste and color. The tables smelled like they had been wiped down with a dirty rag. We wanted to try something for the family. I'm conflicted about how to review this restaurant. It is not great, but it's not the worst. It is just ok. They do have a medium selection of items, but the items don't look appetizing. However, they taste ok. If you don't eat them fast, though, they will cool down quickly and you'll think the food was cold, but it wasn't. Beverages are your standard sodas. The price is a little over 10 dollars a person and it is an all you can eat buffet. The inside looks like it could use and update as you can tell a lot of the furniture has aged. I would come here if I had a Chinese craving and didn't feel like traveling out far, but I don't think it will be my # 1 choice for Chinese. read more

Pretty bad. Nothing tasted good. I couldn't finish any of the meat had a different taste. Anything that was fried was fried to the point it was hard. The only thing i ate was plantains, rice and cucumbers. Also, it was 16.00 for the buffet and water? Other comments said it was cheaper for lunch. This one in Nashville is nothing like the one with same name in San Antonio. I imagine it is a Buffett chain (?) The food here is lukewarm and all food are passable. If you're hungry and just want some Chinese food with varieties , this is your place. They do have sushi. Wasabi is watered down placed in a squeeze bottle. They also offer baked salmon , fried fish, and salt pepper prawn. At $10 for dinner you can't beat it. If you like a hot buffet like I do, this is not for you because all food were lukewarm . If I could give it a zero I would. When we found a roach in the rice it was over. Used to hit this place for lunch right at 11 because it was cheap and they had a big vat of wonton soup. It was never especially good. Saw a German cockroach on the wall one day and thought that they needed to do some work. The very next visit my friend found a dead roach in his rice. We let the staff know and they just chuckled at us. He still had to pay for the meal! We called the health department when we left and before we could get it out they named the place by name! Exactly the same menu. No Mongolian grill either so if you want to attempt to eat low carb you have peel and eat shrimp and the salmon taking a bath in the water tray. That's about it. I would say that even though the price per person is "$5.99" at least at lunch, the overall price with drinks was "$13.95". The price of drinks was almost as much as the buffet. I ended up at King Buffet simply because it was the first place that I saw when driving around famished on Murfreesboro Pike. Happily it ended up being exactly what I needed. Though I often object to Nashville Chinese food options, this place was actually really good, and more importantly really cheap. For $4.50 I got a complete lunch that included not only General's chicken and rice, but also soup and Won Tons; what a deal right? Mostly patronized by the masses that work on Murfreesboro, the lunch buffet seems to be its biggest attraction. For only $6 a person, their buffet is a seriously good deal. It is what it is, and for that it's pretty great. I mean, it's a Chinese buffet, so you're getting a Chinese buffet. I noticed some older reviews saying the food was old/cold but I go here quite a lot and have only had that problem once, when I was there at a really odd hour (like three PM), and even then it was only some of the buffet, not all of it. It's not great cuisine. It's a Chinese buffet. It's not gonna be winning any Michelin stars. HOWEVER, the sushi is surprisingly good for what it is, better than you normally get at a buffet, for sure, and the rest of the food is fine. Some of the deep-fried offerings are a little bit overdone (the coconut shrimp is woefully tough most of the time) but otherwise it's better than Chinese buffets I've tried in the past. Give me a choice between any of those and King Buffet and I'll go to King Buffet every time. Also, the service has always been great for me, every single time I go. I am a long time customer of King Buffett. NO MORE!!! I order a dinner, had someone drive across town (3 imes today) to pick it up (Order to go), the same one I've ordered for 6 years, and all they gave her was a quart of rice and charged me ($8) for it. I returned it and they said because it had been opened they couldn't take it back. Of course it was opened. Otherwise how could I know it was only rice and NOT the dinner I opened. THEY REFUSED TO MAKE THE ORDER RIGHT. I DID order the CORRECT MEAL. The mistake was NOT on my part. I'm out $8, no meal, and had my friend make 3 across town (I now live north of the airport), and I WILL NEVER patronize these reude, people again. I called 3 times and they hung up on me immediately when I wanted to discuss this matter. I was NOT LOUD, yelling, or threating. They showed me the CUSTOME IS OF NO CONCEN TO THEM. Unidentifiable breaded deep fried mislabeled item? Yes. I usually don't eat at buffets but my company was intrigued so we ventured in. There is the usual Azian fare to include sushi, hot wings and some traditional southern dishes. Lunch time didn't appear too busy and dishes were promptly refilled when they ran out. Like I said, I don't like mass produced buffet style food but if you do they have a nice selection of food, salads and sushi to include several desserts and ice cream. read more

This buffet is actually the worst Chinese buffet I have ever been to. The food was cold, and I mean everything was cold. Even the soup. The food was stale and rubbery. Imagine a buffet where you can't find anything decent to eat!! Putting the first plate to the side after deciding there was nothing edible on it, and after filling up a second plate and sampling everything on it, I discovered it was equally cold and stale. Yes it does look a little old inside it needs a little love and paint, but the food was wonderful and great deal I am a sushi nut I eat it all over the Country and King Buffet has some of the best you can find and not at $ 5.00 bucks an order!!
