I took a trip today to get some my favorite sides from here it was not good the rice was hard and it taste old, I think this was probably a week ago . I also got the noodles and they had so much oil and it was nasty . So disappointed bc I used to love this little place

Ordered the war wonton soup. Took ten minutes . Busy and quick is good sign. Food was good and quick

Okay food and questionable cleanliness.. What I disliked about my experience: while waiting for my food, I see the one chef step away from cooking to blow his nose and go right back to cooking without handwashing or sanitizing. A few minutes later I see another worker peeling vegetables on a table next to me with no cutting board or mat being used - he just poured the veggies directly onto the table and is peeling them into a delivery bag with no gloves. I don't expect these A1 cleanliness from these types of places, but as a customer these actions are pretty gross. This place is really just a ghost kitchen and tailored more for delivery/takeout. Food was just okay - kung pal chicken was good, fried rice and chow mein were meh. Never coming back here again

Ordered via Door Dash. Arrived well packaged, hot and accurate. They didn't skimp on quality ingredients! Chicken fried rice had large pieces of high grade chicken. The house special pepper beef steak had awesome tender filet mignon and lots of fresh peppers and onions. Egg rolls didn't disappoint either.

As the photo below shows, I've been ordering here regularly, literally for years. Food was always consistent, delivery was always within 45 minutes. Last month I placed an order and was surprised to get a text that Uber Eats would be delivering my order. When they didn't show up after an hour, I went to call the restaurant and realized I had missed texts from the Uber Eats driver asking what my address was. Then there was a picture of the food left in front of a door I didn't recognize and the house number in the photo wasn't even close to the number I provided. I tried texting and calling the Uber Eats number; the texts were rejected and the number directed me to a pre-recorded message that the number wasn't available. I called China West, explained the situation and they looked it up, then called me back and said they confirmed it was delivered to the wrong address, but said I'd have to take it up with Uber Eats. I explained I didn't order from Uber Eats; I'd ordered directly from the China West Express website. The person said they couldn't do anything; I'd have to contact Uber Eats and hung up. Will never order from here again.

The lamb skewers were juicy and perfectly seasoned with cumin, and the grilled beef tendon skewers had an amazing crispy, chewy texture. We also tried the beef paomo for the first time--it was warm, comforting, and packed with rich flavor. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and after chatting with the staff we learned the owner is from Xi'an, which explains how authentic everything tasted. We ordered stir fried string beans, orange chicken, crispy beef, and salt and pepper fish filet. My least favorite was the crispy beef, mostly because it didn't even taste like I was eating much. I probably should have gotten a different beef dish, otherwise everything else was pretty good. They have a robot delivering food to the tables. They do have someone at the front desk area if you have any questions or need hot water for teas.

Overall, we still enjoyed our meal. What really upset me was how our leftovers were packed. We had quite a bit left and planned to save it for dinner. We asked for boxes, and one server kindly offered to pack everything for us. However, when we got home, we realized they left behind 3 pieces of our beef roll (one order comes with 6 pieces, and we had only eaten 3). There was also about half a plate of noodles left, but only a few bites were packed. We paid for all of the food and should have been able to take our leftovers home. We still enjoyed our meal here, but I'd recommend packing your own leftovers rather than having them packed for you.

The parking is okay, its pretty small but its do able. We went to eat around 2 PM on a weekday so parking was great and the restaurant wasn't too busy. We were greeted the moment we walked in and sat at a table. What I liked about their menu was that they offer smaller plates if you want to order individually, and also offer family size plates for sharing. We of course opted for the bigger plates. We ordered orange chicken, chow mein, white rice, broccoli and beef, and pad thai. I want to start off by saying I'm typically picky with my orange chicken. It usually has a tad of an artificial flavor. This place was realllyyyyyy good. The flavor was good for all the dishes we got, the portions were very generous and more than enough for 3. To test Chang An's kitchen against ultimate balance, I anchored the table with dual 100 point perfect vintages, the 2015 Lafite and the 2009 Petrus, using their spectacular roasted duck as a canvas to build experimental, multi meat mixture bites. Left Bank Structural Test: The 2015 Lafite brought a massive and focused tannic spine. I pushed it to another level by combining roasted duck and tender deep-fried beef tongue into a single bite. The result was mind blowing. The dual-fat layer of rendering duck skin and velvety tongue completely melted the Lafite's powerful tannins, transforming a muscle bound 1st growth into pure silk. Right Bank Opulence Test: Bringing in the grand, velvety weight of the 2009 Petrus this time, I created a rich hybrid bite of duck fat and deep fried lamb brisket. The seamless, opulent 100% Merlot texture of this perfect vintage effortlessly embraced the gamey, crispy richness of the lamb without a single harsh edge. I came to see if perfect scores could handle creative culinary boundary pushing, and Chang An's kitchen and these two iconic bottles answered with a resounding YES!!!
