Ordered the war wonton soup. Took ten minutes . Busy and quick is good sign. Food was good and quick

Okay food and questionable cleanliness.. What I disliked about my experience: while waiting for my food, I see the one chef step away from cooking to blow his nose and go right back to cooking without handwashing or sanitizing. A few minutes later I see another worker peeling vegetables on a table next to me with no cutting board or mat being used - he just poured the veggies directly onto the table and is peeling them into a delivery bag with no gloves. I don't expect these A1 cleanliness from these types of places, but as a customer these actions are pretty gross. This place is really just a ghost kitchen and tailored more for delivery/takeout. Food was just okay - kung pal chicken was good, fried rice and chow mein were meh. Never coming back here again

As the photo below shows, I've been ordering here regularly, literally for years. Food was always consistent, delivery was always within 45 minutes. Last month I placed an order and was surprised to get a text that Uber Eats would be delivering my order. When they didn't show up after an hour, I went to call the restaurant and realized I had missed texts from the Uber Eats driver asking what my address was. Then there was a picture of the food left in front of a door I didn't recognize and the house number in the photo wasn't even close to the number I provided. I tried texting and calling the Uber Eats number; the texts were rejected and the number directed me to a pre-recorded message that the number wasn't available. I called China West, explained the situation and they looked it up, then called me back and said they confirmed it was delivered to the wrong address, but said I'd have to take it up with Uber Eats. I explained I didn't order from Uber Eats; I'd ordered directly from the China West Express website. The person said they couldn't do anything; I'd have to contact Uber Eats and hung up. Will never order from here again.

Ordered via Door Dash. Arrived well packaged, hot and accurate. They didn't skimp on quality ingredients! Chicken fried rice had large pieces of high grade chicken. The house special pepper beef steak had awesome tender filet mignon and lots of fresh peppers and onions. Egg rolls didn't disappoint either.

China West Express is a little hole in the wall place that just might be your best bet for Americanized Chinese food in Tustin. Although they do have a few tables inside, it is primarily a to go place. I've yet to see anyone eating inside. The to go orders are very well packed up, so much so the food will still be hot when you get it home. The place is a 15 minute drive for me. The folks who run the counter have always been very friendly and polite. The entrees are cooked to order, which is far superior to a nearby competitor's practice of serving food out of chaffing dishes. Expect about 10 minutes for your order to come out, but it could be a little longer if they are busy. No biggie. Their generously portioned Lunch Box deal is a great value. For $10.99 you get your choice of entree, your choice of chow mein or white rice, your choice of egg flower or hot and sour soup, your choice of a canned soft drink, an egg roll, and a fortune cookie. The food is good, but I don't care for their chow mein, so I go with steamed white rice. It's a good place and one of the gems of Tustin. My pics are better if you click on them.

We got the scallion oil noodles (I forgot what they're called), gyudon bowl, and 2 servings of dumplings! My friend and I were stuffed and we eat a lottttt. We also had their drinks which weren't bad for $6.50. He had the strawberry matcha and I had the jasmine tea with crystal boba! For take out, the food was packed neatly & the set of condiments and utensils they provide is really good. It felt a little more "higher end" of a take out place. My friends and I ordered about the same things we did inside the restaurant, cucumber salad, and the wonton with chili oil. Our favorite was the chili oil wontons & we regret not ordering more. Fed three people!

Leaving this review after an almost bad experience to help the restaurant or anyone else that may…read morehave eaten here today. 5 stars for fixing the problem immediately for us. We've been here several times before and what keeps us coming back is the quality of the food. Today, they had a new chef cook our food and it was terrible. Green beans were extremely sour (way way too much vinegar). Mapo Tofu had a ton of oil but not enough sauce, so it was just flavorless except the oil. The fried pork chop was over fried where some pieces you can't even bite through. The rice had too much water in it and was mushy. I rarely return food but this time it was so bad we had to let them know. We returned all of our dishes back to them. They let us know there was a new chef today, and they would remake all the dishes for us with the original chef. The replacement dishes were just as good as all our previous visits and it was excellent again! So thanks to the staff for fixing the problem. I'm not sure if they are training a new chef to take over, or as a backup, but they need to be careful as serving bad quality food like that would drive most people to never come back. We knew the food was good from prior experience, so we knew we could ask why the food quality changed. For first time customers, or those that may have ordered to go - if you had bad food today, it may have been a fluke due to the new chef. Service however was a amazing as usual. For all our visits including today, the staff has been kind and always looking for ways to help out and make sure we were having a good experience. So besides the food being good, I would say excellent service is also huge plus here. Don't be fooled with the automated ordering and robot delivering the food into thinking there is no service. The people behind the counter are awesome! Hope management takes care of this new chef issue quickly since their food quality is the main reason people come here. There was a night and day difference between the original food we got today, and the replacement!

Modern Chinese, Ancient Disappointment…read more EverSpring looks great, sounds great, and is priced like it plans to deliver something memorable. Unfortunately, what I'll remember most is how quickly my excitement turned into polite disappointment. The salt and pepper pork chops were...bold. And by bold I mean shockingly salty, like the chef was trying to preserve them for winter. I've had salt and pepper chops more times than I can count, and this version tasted nothing like any of them. Overcooked, oddly flavored, and just completely off. If this was a creative interpretation, creativity may have gone a step too far. Then there was the crispy beef. I say this with sincerity: it was inedible. Not "I'm picky" inedible--burned-breading-that-tastes-like-toasted-mistakes inedible. Each bite delivered a charming note of scorched regret, like someone deep-fried a crouton and called it a day. I stopped eating not because I was full, but because my taste buds filed an HR complaint. And look, if this were cheap comfort food, I'd shrug it off. But this is sit-up-straight-when-the-bill-arrives pricing. For what we paid, I expected at least one dish to make me say, "Okay, this works." That moment never came. The concept is solid, but the food just didn't deliver. I wanted to love it. My taste buds, however, requested an early exit. Everything went to the trash can. Never again.

I found several options, but some were out of my budget and others didn't have great reviews. I came across KPB and spoke with Jerry, who was incredibly helpful and honest. He gave great advice on how much food to order for a group of 18 people. I originally planned to order four party trays (fried rice and three entrées), but he suggested that three trays would be enough. He was also very accommodating and gave me until the morning of the event to finalize my order. I ended up ordering Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, and Young Chow fried rice. What makes it work is not just the food itself, but the atmosphere surrounding it. The high ceilings lobby, restrained interior design, dim lighting, and measured pacing create a dining environment that feels unusually compatible with mature Bordeaux and fine wine service. Unlike the bright, noisy banquet-style energy found in many traditional Chinese restaurants, Chang'An gives wine room to breathe, both literally and figuratively, that distinction matters more than many people realize. The cuisine here carries enough depth, fat, smoke, sweetness, spice, and umami to stand beside structured wines like Bordeaux, yet the dining room remains calm and elegant enough to actually focus on what is happening in the glass. At many Chinese restaurants, great wine can feel disconnected from the environment. Here, the pairing feels intentional. The roast duck was excellent, but what stayed with me most was how naturally wines like Haut-Brion, Le Pin, and Mouton integrated into the experience. The duck fat softened tannins, the smoky aromatics echoed mature Bordeaux tertiary notes, and the refined atmosphere made the entire dinner feel closer to a Parisian fine dining experience interpreted through Chinese culinary tradition. Chang'An does not simply serve food dramatic enough for wine pairing. It creates a space where wine pairing actually makes sense.

Thursday at 2:30pm I grabbed a spot right in front of the restaurant. ***Bonus: You'll dine with a peace of mind to see a security guard on site overlooking the parking lot. Entered the spot and was greeted so kindly. "Will you be dining in with us today?" I replied, "Hi, yes please" I was offered to take any seat in the house. I took my seat at Table10. Visibly very clean and with a minimal design, the paintings and subtle decor give the space a bit of warmth. As I sat a single cup and carafe filled with cold water was placed followed by a menu. The waiter went on to describe the menu. What did I order? - Oil Poured Noodles(Spice level Medium) with braised beef rib: 5/5 stars ***** I highly recommend this dish. With each bite, I twirled each noodle and each piece of rib meat deep into the oil and broth to capture the full flavor. - Cucumber Salad: 5/5 stars - Bone Broth Soup: 5/5 stars The Cucumber Salad came out first. Crisp, delicious, subtle in spice, absolutely delicious. Great starter. Bone Broth soup was next. Dressed with chives and just a touch of salt, the soup felt like a warm embrace. A great compliment to the noodles. Last, the main dish arrived in all its glory. Oil Poured Noodle with a gorgeous braised beef rib. As he placed it down I asked if could scissor cut the beef to make it easier to consume. He was so kind to oblige and made it happen for ya boy. Honestly, the beef was so tender, I think it would've been easy to pull apart, it was fall off the bone ready! So good. The noodles texture have a nice bite, not one over cooked or under cooked noodle here! Overall, my Six Alley experience was truly comfort food at its best. Service was kind and attentive. They've definitely won me over and I'm looking forward to sharing this restaurant with friends and family. The sauce & Noodle were the star of the show at Six Alley Biang Biang Noodle…read more I took the time to visit this cute establishment on Wednesday. It's tucked away in a small plaza next to Starbucks a liquor store and a few other food spots. I arrived a little after 2pm and there were quite a few people in there. Still spacious for a party of 1 even though it was busy. What immediately stood out to me is that every noodle is hand pulled fresh after you place your order. No two noodles are exactly alike, and honestly, you can taste the care and freshness in every bite. I ordered the Mahi Beef Noodles, the Dry Mixed Dumplings, and the cucumber salad. Let me just say... every single dish had me saying, "Okay THIS is my favorite," and then the next dish would come along and change my mind again. The cucumber salad was refreshing and the crunchy cucumbers were covered in like a garlic sauce bath. Be careful because this is the kind of sauce that could stain your clothes. Lol I also ordered The Ma hu Beef Noodles and The Dry Mixed Dumplings. The Ma Hu beef noodles were delicious! The noodles were soft, tender, and the beef was incredibly tender as well. The Dry Mixed Dumplings were equally delicious. They come dry with the dipping sauce on the side, which I personally preferred because you can dip each dumpling exactly how you like. The pork and cabbage filling was flavorful and juicy too. I have to say, my favorite part of each dish was honestly the balance of flavor. The traditional spices and sauces were layered perfectly without being overly salty or overpowering. I chose the mild spice level, and it had just the right amount of heat while still allowing the flavors of the dish to shine. The sauce truly brought everything together. There's something special about how they've mastered simplicity here, the ingredients are not overly complicated, yet the sauces and seasonings create so much depth and flavor without overwhelming the dish. Everything feels intentional and balanced. I couldn't even finish all of my food because the portions were generous, so I happily took the rest to go. The staff was incredibly kind and even packed me extra sauce to take home, which honestly made my day because the sauce is THAT good. The restaurant itself is smaller, but don't let that stop you from going. The flavor completely makes up for the size of the space. The establishment was clean, service was fast, and even with a slight language barrier, I still felt welcomed and treated kindly. One thing I really appreciated was how attentive the staff was. The moment tables opened up, they were immediately cleaned and prepared for the next guests. The staff stayed on top of everything without missing a beat. Authentic, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely worth visiting.

This has long been our go-to for Taiwanese comfort food, and while the flavors weren't always 100% authentic, they hit the spot. However, our recent visits have been disappointing. The restaurant has become incredibly "penny-pinching" with their service. I was recently told there would be a $1 charge just for a sprinkle of scallions and another $1 for a small side of clear broth for my dry noodles--requests that were never an issue before. Furthermore, when we ordered extra noodles for my son's beef noodle soup, the original portion seemed intentionally smaller, defeating the purpose of paying for the add-on.
