Long line, and people don't get served in the way they come. I waited in line, and some Asian dude just rolled up behind me and got served before me . Also I knew it wasn't authentic when 90% of the customers were not viet. Eggrolls tasted very Americanized. Size was big but taste was meh. So greasssssy.

I dropped by King Egg Roll while my wife was picking up our Banh Mi sandwiches at Thien Huang next door. I have a soft spot for simple places that make uncomplicated and inexpensive food well. I came by for the signature Egg Rolls and Shrimp Balls and left satisfied. It's not gourmet food but it's plenty fast and friendly with tasty appetizers as advertised. Stand in line, check out the food in buffet trays behind glass, order from the friendly staff, pay and go. There's also lunchroom style tables but we took ours home - well except for that shrimp ball that didn't survive the walk to my car! I can't give it five stars and three is too low. Sounds like a four just don't expect fancy, just a tasty budget egg roll! (King Eggroll also serves buffet style main dishes that looked buffet average but we came for and scored based on the tasty to-go appetizers)

Incredible egg rolls! Each roll is massive, exterior is so flaky and crispy, and filling (we got pork) is unbelievably flavorful and juicy.

Whoa, I am way overdue for an update to King Eggroll. They are consistently the best place to get egg rolls and other party trays of food for large gatherings. They have THE best egg rolls! No question. No doubt. I loved their fried sui mai which are stuffed with shrimp, pork, and other goodies. Want some fried shrimp? Get those crispy shrimp balls, although, that texture is more of a shrimp paste than the chunks of shrimp in the fried sui mai. Post-Covid, I haven't seen the same Chinese BBQ meats and dim sum but they do take credit cards now!

Really spacious place and nice people. They have a ticket system when you place an order which can be effective. Overall nothing special about this location. It has the egg rolls and wings. Really convenient spot when you're craving egg rolls. Still one of the best egg rolls in my opinion.

This place is big and clean. Looks like most people come here to order food to-go or to pick up party platters. Fresh food trays keep on being replenished. It was my first time trying their famous egg rolls (chicken, pork) and fried shrimp balls. Very impressed with how hot and fresh these rolls are. We couldn't wait to take some home and we ended up eating all of it on the spot. We will definitely return for some more egg rolls!

They accept cards! I noticed an "x" on their Yelp page, so I placed a pickup order via DoorDash instead. I was in a rush, didn't think to go on the website. Parking wasn't bad at 10:45, but it was congested on Story Rd. Once we walked in, I saw the kiosk and learned they accept cards. The nice woman explained that ordering for pickup via DoorDash cost a lot more, that ordering from their website for pickup would be more cost efficient. I will make a note of that for next time. I wanted to order a tray of vegetarian eggrolls for the get together today. It was a meetup for other foster moms through the San Jose Animal Care Center. It was a nice turnout. I was so glad I ordered from here. I could have gotten pinwheels from Costco or a tray of something from Safeway but bringing something hot and fresh made my dish popular at the food table. I also ordered a combination plate for Gavin; he opted for fried rice and 2 portions of orange chicken and a bottle of Diet Coke. Because I found out they accept cards, I ordered a shiu mai, 3 pork eggrolls, and 3 vegetarian egg rolls as well. I typically don't eat at a potluck, mainly because I knew we would only be there for an hour and I didn't want to pick at a tray I brought. It came in a nice tray in a box and a side of sweet and sour sauce. Service was great!!! The shiu mai was delicious and juicy!

Best Eggrolls I've ever had. We drove from LA to the bay and had to make this our first stop. Flavorful and crispy. The shrimp balls were also huge and delicious and is a definite must try. Wish we had something similar nearby.

Both items were so generous and actually fairly large! It also came with a side of their orange sauce for the rolls and fish sauce, veggies/herbs, and chilies on the side for guests who love spicy. Definitely larger portions and super affordable. We picked up the items 30 mins before our party started, and they were still fresh and crispy throughout the whole night! I was expecting the banh khot to get soggy/be soggy but it held up very nicely. I love the way they packaged everything and would 100% recommend for those who need easy finger food for their parties. The tables are fairly close together since it is a small restaurant. Banh cuon special was chef's kiss I loved that it had a variety of foods and textures. Rice rolls were soft and chewy, fried shrimp was crispy, salad was refreshing, and meatloaf rounded it out. To top it off, there's spicy fish sauce that added another kick of flavor. No other notes on this dish, it was perfect to me!!

There are other places I can go as backups, but when I want the complete bánh cuốn meal, this is the place to go. Food (5 stars) + The Đặc Biệt is still the #1 order here. It's a huge plate and you get a little bit of everything: the plain rice rolls with shrimp sprinkled on top, bánh cuốn stuffed with meat, pork roll, egg roll, and their crispy fried shrimp cake. Everything complements each other perfectly. + The rice rolls are soft and fresh, and I especially like the ones stuffed with meat. Pour their sweet and savory fish sauce all over it and add some of the red chili peppers if you want some heat. Excellent! + Their fried items are also what separates this place from some of the others. The egg roll is crispy and the fried shrimp cake actually has a nice big shrimp on there. Even the slightly steamed bean sprouts and herbs work perfectly with everything else on the plate. + This time I ordered the smaller plate with just the meat-filled bánh cuốn instead of the Đặc Biệt. It's around $15 and is actually the perfect amount for me where I'm full but not overly stuffed. However, for only a couple bucks more, I'd still recommend the Đặc Biệt. You just get so much more food! Service/Ambiance (3.5-4 stars) + Service is pretty standard for a Vietnamese restaurant. They're not constantly coming around to refill your water, but if you raise your hand or flag someone down, they'll come over and help you. Nobody is looking the other way pretending they didn't see you! + The restaurant itself is pretty small inside, but they have a much larger outdoor seating area. We came during lunch and didn't have to wait long. + I brought my dog Marley so we sat outside. It was a warm day but there was enough airflow that it was actually pretty comfortable. - One strange thing I've noticed during my last two visits: the water has a slight soapy taste. Maybe that's proof they do an excellent job washing their cups, but they could probably use an extra rinse! This time I just brought my own water. 4 years after my original 5-star review, nothing has really changed for me. I've had plenty of bánh cuốn around the Bay Area and this is still the place I compare everyone else to. The service and ambiance might only be around 3.5-4 stars, but I'm not coming here for fancy service. I'm coming for bánh cuốn, and the food is still 5 stars!

We've probably eaten here 50+ times with family and friends, and one thing I can say is that they are 100% consistent. We've never had a bad meal here. There's a great variety of Vietnamese dishes, so everyone can usually find something they like. The chả cá (fish) is one of their popular dishes and a favorite. They also have good chicken phở, broken rice, vermicelli noodles, spring rolls, roll-your-own options, and plenty of soups beyond phở. You can order individual dishes or share family-style, which makes it especially easy when coming with a group. It's very casual, family-friendly, quick, and straightforward--nothing fancy and probably not where I'd choose for a date night. But for a dependable meal with family or friends, it's a great spot. Kids like it, parents like it, and my mom likes it--which says a lot coming from an older Vietnamese person who knows her Vietnamese food! The staff is always efficient and nice, and after all these years, the food remains consistently good. The biggest downside is parking. The entire shopping center has become so busy with restaurants that finding a spot can be overwhelming, especially during peak hours. Also, keep in mind they do not take credit cards. Bring cash, or you can pay electronically through options such as Zelle/Venmo. Overall, this is one of those longtime neighborhood restaurants we keep coming back to because we know exactly what we're going to get: good Vietnamese food, plenty of choices, friendly service, and consistency.

I noticed cobwebs that appeared to have been hanging in place for a long time, along with dirt and grime collecting in corners throughout the dining room. Even the menus felt sticky, with a visible film of grease and small food particles still clinging to them. The faded print and worn condition made them look as though they hadn't been replaced in years. Those details created an impression of neglect that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal.
