I'm so grateful they offer the veggie option for all of their burgers! It was delicious. The fries were good too. Service was great. We sat on the patio and the bartender served us. He was doing a lot but he was very attentive and quick. I'm also sooo happy they had Deschutes Hard Lemonade! Came here on a whim while walking around the neighborhood, and it didn't look too busy. We didn't have the highest hopes, thinking it was just going to be basic dive bar food, but we were left totally impressed by the quality of our burgers. We ordered the Blue Cheese burger and the Bueno burger, and they were both delicious in their own way. These, coupled with some beers, made it the perfect dinner to scratch our burger and beer itch for the week. The servers were all surprisingly super nice and attentive, and our food came quickly. The overall experience was surprisingly better than we were expecting, judging from the look of the place on the outside. Do you ever just wanna go to a dive bar and have good food and just chat with the bartender? If so, this is your spot. It's in Belltown so not too far away from where we were staying and we were ready for a walk on this gorgeous Seattle day We loved the dive bar, ambience, and all of the kitschy things they had hanging on the walls. I'll bet this is a super fun spot at night but we were here at lunch hour so there was hardly anyone here. They do offer a brunch, but we'd already had breakfast and we're ready for lunch! They offer specials as well, but I was most interested in the black and salmon tacos and they were on point! There is a nice mango salsa that it served with so don't forget to slather that arm. Hubby had the clam chowder and said it was very good. He loved the addition of the bacon. Prices were pretty reasonable. I had a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc ($10) and hubby had a beer. Total bill was $53 before tip. The bartender was super friendly and we chatted with her for a while about her recent trip to Japan and our upcoming trip to Japan, small world! After having a few drinks at a cocktail bar down the street I was recommended this spot to eat before calling it a night. I walked in and it was pretty cool and had a chill vibe. I was greeted right away by the bartender and handed a food and drink menu. I was happy to hear the kitchen was still opened on a late Monday night. I had a delicious cheeseburger (with Tillamook cheese!) and fresh hand cut french fries as my side. I also ordered a nice cold glass of a Hefe-style draft beer which just sealed the deal for me. I was a happy lady with the amount of food and the options to get a nice cocktail from the menu. They seemed to have a variety of food and drinks to appease anyone - seriously. Such a nice and large menu they got here. I saw many others come in and settle at the bar and were tended to fast. This is the kind of spot locals and folks staying in the area (like me) come to because it's open late, close, and a cool/local spot. We stopped for drinks and dinner and it was quite good. You can have your dog with you on the patio. The drinks were tasty and the food was decent as well. There's actually 4-5 options on the menu that can be vegan too. The server was polite but kind of inattentive because I think he was the only bar tender as well. We were fine with how much he checked in and just went inside to let him know if we needed anything though. He did also bring us a fresh water bowl for our pup too which I felt was more important than checking on us more than once! It's kind of a artsy dive bar if that's a vibe? Cyclops Cafe & Lounge has a dive bar kinda vibe. Ska/punkish music playing, but not too loud. We came for lunch on a summer Saturday and there wasn't much action inside. The bartender/server was great, checking in on us often. The food was good too. I chose the blackened salmon tacos. Messy! Ask for extra napkins, and delicious. Cyclops is a classic Seattle joint (for +20 years!) and has an irreverent, authentically sexy vibe. No try-hards here. Great menu, service and vintage vibe. Very good cocktails. The vegetarian and vegan options are decent, food delish, can't go wrong. The atmosphere welcomes all types; I'm sure many are there because of its location next to The Crocodile and below The Ace Hotel. Anyplace that sells schooners of beer is a win! read more

Everything was pretty good. We both got the Bueno Burger and Fries, very tasty. I can't remember the first drink I had, but I didn't like it, and Irland replaced it with a different drink at no charge. However, getting water was very strange. There was a water dispenser set up on a table next to the restrooms. There were a bunch of kind gentlemen dining at a large table blocking it, so I wish that we could have been served a pitcher of water instead. If you find yourself in Belltown on a weekend, you must stop by for the breakfast burrito. They are grilled with french-fries inside! SO YUMMY! :D And you can choose veggies or meat. Matt might be the best bartender in the world... he will remember your name and your favorite drink, and treat you like a VIP even if there are fifty other people there ordering at the same time. Dude works his ass off with incredibly positive energy and deserves a friggin gold medal for his efforts, often having to tend bar and wait tables at the same time. Stopped in on a Friday around 3, just when hungry was turning to hangry. Was seated immediately and my drink and food came quickly. I had a blue cheese burger and fries and a coke. Exactly what I needed and I love the fry seasoning. My server was very kind and called me "hun" which never hurts. Came here on a weekend and they have a wide variety of breakfast items to choose from. My boyfriend ordered their 'cajun hash', which came with andouille sausage, peppers and cheese on top of potatoes. We both thought this dish was just okay. It lacked a cajun flavor. On the last Friday in October, we actually walked in and sat at the bar in Cyclops, rather than doing take out. My wife enjoys their burgers, and when picking up take out, felt welcomed. She wanted to check out the bar, and I agreed after a fantastic concert at The Rendezvous, a couple of blocks away. I sensed a "freeze" immediately after walking in. We were older and dressed for a night out. In Seattle, that would be coined pretentious. Myopia goes left and right along the social continuum; the conservatives expecting a toned down appearance, and Seattle liberals expecting a T Shirt and jeans. Thus, if you don a fedora, dark glasses, and a checkered wool jacket you aren't fitting in to either tribal requirement. I guess our "dressed for a night out" offended the patrons at the bar and the bar keep. We ordered our respective burgers and downed our drinks. After paying our bill, we left without a word of thanks or a goodbye. People at Cyclops were decidedly cold and unfriendly. To shun people because you find the clothes they're wearing too chi chi or urbane, is myopic behavior as prejudicial as hating people of color. Seattle, it works both ways. No one should be judged by their exterior and treated like second class citizens because your sensibilities were disturbed by their appearance. read more

After paying for drinks, he decided to call us all out and make everyone in the bar uncomfortable by saying how he deserved a higher gratuity than he was given. This bartender should first learn to approach customers with decency and respect before antagonizing others to fulfill his ego. I'm sure his fragile arms worked so hard to pour those shots to deserve an outstanding tip to go with his attitude. He could've approached anyone in an entirely different manner but instead he disrespected several customers by threatening to not serve us unless we gave him 20 % tip. I typically only get pickles, ketchup, and mustard on a burger, but I decided to try the Cyclops/One-Eye burger (sans cheese and mayo). I liked that it came with caramelized onions *and* pickled red onions. The fried egg on top gave it a lot of great, greasy-in-a-good way flavor. And you can't go wrong with a brioche bun. They have added more outdoor seating since COVID. I tend to gravitate towards their 1 Eye PA - a beer brewed for them by Boundary Bay. It's a crisp, hoppy west coast style IPA. To eat, wings. They are meaty, not breaded, and covered with a medium level buffalo sauce. I have gotten the wings more than once and I will get them again. The service was friendly and attentive. read more

He let me stay in the bar for 40+ minutes after my last drink so that I would get home safe (AND thank you bar patrons Michelle and Chris for keeping an eye on me)! The flavors blend together interestingly: sweet, savory, and sour. I personally don't think I would order this again, but my fiancé absolutely loved it. He ordered the chicken enchiladas and devoured them in minutes. They were surprisingly filling. We expected to be hungry, as the plates were smaller than we expected, but we left feeling satiated.
