    Turf area with food truck

First time here... good experience. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has plenty to do- foosball, pool tables, golden tee, corn hole, Jenga, toys for kids. There's a permanent food truck on site- El Cubano Jax. Didn't try it because we had other plans but the menu looked good. Service was pretty quick for only having 1 bartender when we were there. It was a nice, chill spot to have a few brews while the kids were playing. Only suggestion would be to add a TV out in the warehouse area-- we went somewhere else so we could watch the derby

Such a cool place. Reutilized industrial building. So much awesome things to do and great staff to keep the beer and food flowing. They also offer glassblowing every so often. Check 'em out.

We stopped into King Maker to refresh and refuel after an afternoon of curio and vintage shopping. It was the perfect choice. King Maker Brewery had a nice amount of diverse styles on tap (I am fan of sours and was not disappointed) and the kitchen had upscaled what are often considered to be bar food standards. We tried burgers and chicken sandwiches - and enjoyed them all - but the corn bites and fried pickles are what stood out for our group. Both the bites and pickles were lightly breaded and fried perfectly. Crisp outside, molten inside. The pickle's sharp vinegar cut the oil beautifully. If I could get an order now, I would. There were a good number of options on tap ensuring something for everyone. We tried the Ziggy Salz and Sweet Caroline, and both lives up to their names. The Ziggy was salt forward, but not tongue burning, and the Sweet Caroline was not cloying. We also enjoyed their dry cider which reminded us of some of our favorite British local brews with it's crispness. The testing room itself is pleasant, clean, and decorated with the work of local artists. The staff was fun, knowledgeable, and took great care of our party. Things to know: * Even more variety to be trapped in the months to come as the brewery brings additional equipment online. * There is a beer garden if you'd prefer to sit outside. * King Maker also has an event space, which may be just what you need, or may cause some parking heartburn depending on whether it is you event or not.

    Friday night BBQ. Very good!

Beer is okay. We got a flight which is always fun. They have a BBQ food truck that's here on Fridays. The other food trucks are on their website. BBQ was delicious. They have some glass blowing classes which is cool. They also have pottery classes too. Wide area where people do the arts and crafts and smoke cigars and play ping pong and pool. Lots to do and space to spread out and hang out with friends.

Service is fast and friendly, can be pretty busy on weekends and special events! Beer is good, a little on the hoppy side for me but I was able to grab an el nortoño and was happy with it!

Good beer and sours! Every other Thursday is open mic night & the comedians are funny and down to earth... would love to come back. It's outside seating, so bring a jacket!

    Flight of sours

King Maker Brewing has one of the best vibes of the Jax breweries and some of the best sour beers I've tried! Came here on a Sunday afternoon after lunch in Riverside after seeing how many sours were on the menu. We ordered the flight inside and immediately took it to one of the picnic tables in their open air section. There were darts, games, and a live band inside. What a lovely way to spend a sunny day! They also had amazing looking pretzels which sadly we did not try since we were full. It also looks like they have a lot of cool events during the week. As for the beers, each one was tasty but the kiwi melon sour was by far my favorite! You could really taste the melon in it- super refreshing! Thanks for a great experience King Maker- we'll be back again soon (and this time we'll try the pretzel!)

Had a great time visiting this brewery. I loved that they had nonalcoholic options. There's a food truck on site that has amazing burgers and fries. If you stop in you must try the cheese fries w the pickle sauce. The food is fast and very good. This brewery is a playful spot complete w tons of board games to enjoy while you sip. Love the casual feel inside. Our bartender Kyle was fantastic and assisted us in our beer choices for a satisfying experience.

Great beer, great service and an amazing layout. I almost didn't stop here as this was the last place on my list to try but I'm so glad I did. This is one of the best breweries in Jax, hands down. They have everything for adults and children to stay occupied. If I lived in the area this would be my go to spot to hang out. I'll be back for sure!

It's been awhile since we have visited and since weather is so gorgeous today we walked down! The beer I wanted from website was gone, the hood ones go fast. This is the busiest I've seen in in awhile! There is also a food truck!

I saw a really cute Octoberfest ad on Facebook so we invited another couple (who were in Germany a number of years) to go with us. I'm glad they did not dress in German garb bec this was a very casual place. It has 3 areas, 1st you go in a building with a/c and tables etc to get beer and order food, then you could go outside to an Astro turfed enclosed area (number of people with their well behaved dogs and kids) with a food truck (makes the food and then brought to you) in front of it an open building behind it, the 3rd area (the building behind) was a large roofed open space that had numbers of picnic tables, 2pool tables, other game options (including a huge play area for kids-playhouse, etc.) and the brewing vats to the side. What I saw and wondered about was they also had a trailer parked inside that showed "Brunt Ends" the glass blowing company. I guess they offer workshops there too...cool! The pretzel was fresh, warm, buttery snd good! There was a great variety of beers and our informative bartender worked with us to get the right one for us. We wanted chicken schnitzel but they were out so we order a sampling platter of bratwurst, knockwurst and kielbasa all grilled, with two mustards..also very good and plenty for two! To top it off this night that had people trying their comedy routines out....

Made this awesome glass in the Glassblowing Workshop they have and my niece made one as well. Such a fun experience with Burnt Glassworks!

We love this place. It's our go to on a Friday evening for good food and great beers. Very kids and dog friendly. The crew there are very sweet and personable. My kids love the soft pretzel and we love the BBQ.

We came in on a Wednesday evening. We asked about the menu and were told at the counter that it was Wing Wednesday and the wings were $1 each. Well how could we not add those onto our order. We ordered a Burnt Ends platter with mac and cheese, and corn nuggets, a Brisket Platter with corn nuggets and beans. We also ordered a large mac for my son and a side of lean brisket. For the wings we ordered the Cajun ranch. Our food started coming out in about 5 minutes. Firstly, I was shocked at the wings. I love wings, but they aren't something I usually order often as I find them just OK. There are only a couple places that I visit specifically for wings. Well, let me tell you, I would make a visit back just for these wings. OMG, the Cajun ranch was simply amazing, really addictive. They were my favorite item. We devoured them. The burnt ends were very good. I appreciate they are big chunks of brisket with no pull pork filler. The flavor was amazing as well and the bits of fat melted in our mouth. The corn nuggets were fine and the Mac N Cheese was quite tasty. We enjoyed the meal so much, were were trying to figure out somewhere for a family lunch the next Sunday and came back again. This time my sister, son and I brought my dad. We of course ordered more wings and burnt ends and brisket with lots of Mac N Cheese. The food really is something special. The wings are absolutely wonderful and the burnt ends are a hit. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants and will always be on my list of visits to enjoy when I come back to Jax.

The service was steady and I came in around 5ish so it didn't pick up til after I arrived. The staff were nice and polite. It was quiet but had several tables occupied. The chicken was moist and dipped with the spicy bbq enhanced the flavor. All sides were seasoned well especially the green beans and collard greens. Cornbread was good, just note it does have jalapeños. I would say the only feedback was the brisket appeared to be more lean than moist. When we ordered the moist brisket a few weeks ago, it was a lot more marbled, looser and fattier than what we received in this order which was less marbled with leaner cuts. So it appears the staff may had gave the lean than the moist cut... Other than that, everything was good, but perhaps the staff could have additional guidance in brisket cut differences.

Now, I'm no connoisseur, I am not from an elite BBQ region and I know that Jacksonville is not a BBQ go to area. But that said, I tried a few places in the region and 4 Rivers is the only spot I'd repeat visit. Service is friendly and prompt, and they were helpful with putting me on their best items. The brisket was moist, tender and flavorful. The ribs? To die for. Best I've had in Florida. The burnt ends are a combination of brisket and pork, which compliments one another nicely. I loved the beans! The corn was the only thing I found lacking, tasted too much like canned corn for my taste. Their nice seating area is big and welcoming and they have numerous sauces for you. We really enjoyed the blueberry bbq over by the fountain drinks. It went well with the ribs! Overall, must visit for Jax! Thanks guys! See you soon!

The food is outstanding, the drinks are great, and the service is always quick, friendly, and attentive. We started with the Fritos Pie and added pulled pork--such a great decision! It made an already delicious appetizer even better. For our entrée, we shared the Texas "Trinity" (the "give me all the meats" option), which comes with ribs, sausage, and brisket. The ribs were unbelievable--fall-off-the-bone tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The sausage comes in two varieties: regular and cheddar jalapeño. The cheddar jalapeño has a nice kick without being overpowering and was absolutely worth trying. On this visit, we upgraded our sides to two fresh salads, but during our first visit we had the baked beans and coleslaw, and they were both fantastic. Honestly, everything we've tried has been delicious. If you're spending the day at Neptune Beach and need a break from seafood, ABBQ is a must-visit. I keep trying to give them another chance, so when they invited me to make a reservation for the World Cup game tonight, I took the bait. I should have gone to Mojo's or Strings instead! I stopped ordering a brisket sandwich long ago because the buns were always hard and stale. Lately, I've been going with the two meat plate because the sides are usually very good, especially the potato salad and cowboy baked beans. The turkey is usually pretty good as are the ribs, but the brisket is always pathetic, especially for a guy from Texas looking for perfection. To be fair to the management, the bar and atmosphere never fails to impress me, but when I am missing good old fashioned Texas barbecue brisket, I will be going somewhere else that knows what they are doing. Come on y'all... My summary: over rated, over priced, and over done. Low and slow is the barbecue brisket mantra, but the pit master needs to go back to Texas for a refresher course in Austin, in my humble opinion!!!
