Recently ((January 2025) I was pulled over by a police officer and given a warning because the stickers for the month and year were reversed on the license plate; I told the officer that I had no idea this happened because it was taken care of by the dealer at pruchase. When I called David at Auto Leader he was borderline disinterested in the conversation at first not even acknowledging they made an error. (as if I wouuld call about this falsly out of the blue and as if I did not buy a car from him that was not cheap!) This made me annoyed. He then told me I needed to come in and they would try to fix it. I asked if he could come to my work place, 2 blocks from their shop, and he could fix it there. He refused and said he was trying to seve me time and aggravation over having to go to MVA for new stickers. His solution was in no way saving me time and aggravation already caused by the error, and in the future to get it fixed. His attitude was terrible- he accused me of "pointing fingrer". I would be VERY CAREFUL about doing business with this complany, especially if you want a company with customer services that stands behind their work.

Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. Check the before and after pics! Since I was getting new tires, I had priced new Toyota rims, which were out of the question. Rim Renew made my four old rims totally like new again, plus mounted and balanced my tires, all at a cost of 1/3 what buying identical new Toyota rims would have been. Can't say enough good things about Rim Renew.

At first, I felt relieved to find a location close to where my elderly mother lives, and I hoped it might be a trustworthy option since other residents in her retirement community go there. I could immediately see why people feel comfortable: the friendliness is noticeable right away. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for me to start feeling uneasy... During routine visits for my mother's car, I noticed significant upselling and costs that seemed far higher than expected. For example, she paid around $120 for a cabin filter replacement that I later learned is often closer to $30 for her type of vehicle. That was the moment I realized I no longer felt comfortable trusting their recommendations, and I decided I would not bring her car back. I briefly considered giving them another chance with my own car, hoping the earlier experience had been a one-off. When I called about a simple headlight replacement (after already researching the exact part and repair) I was told they had to see the vehicle in person and was quoted an extremely wide range of $80 to nearly $500. I chose to go elsewhere and had the same repair completed for $40. I also found the volume of follow-up emails and maintenance reminders excessive and pressure-filled rather than helpful. Trust matters when it comes to car care--especially for older customers. Based on my experiences, I do not recommend this location and would encourage others to proceed with caution.
