This was a nice welcome to Indy!!! I decided that I had a taste for BBQ. I'm from MS and this BBQ felt like home. In ordered the large rib tips with baked beans and green beans. I also got sauce on the side and on my tip tips. For dessert I ordered a sweet potato pie. The ribs tips taste like a family reunion on the fourth of July. They will filled with love, flavor, and you taste the razzle dazzle from the grill. The rib tips were delicious and the most flavorful bbq I've had in a while. If that's how the tip taste, I know the whole rib is good . My baked beans taste like KFC's baked beans from back in the day (loved it). My greens beans were flavorful. Not our first visit and won't be our last. King Ribs is our go to place for ribs. This visit didn't disappoint. We visited during the week a little after lunch time. We used the sometime thru and got thru the line fairly quickly. Keep in mind, weekend will be a longer wait. As usual, we were greeted cheerfully at the drive thru window. The ladies working the drive thru window are such a joy! The ribs were juicy and tender as was the chicken. The sides that come with the dinners are way too small. So if you want more - order the large sides. Overall, we always enjoy King Ribs! read more

Stopped by this afternoon after we decided we wanted some ribs. Let me start by saying that the smoke rolling off their smokers smells absolutely delicious and my mouth was watering before we even ordered. Went through the drive through and purchased a couple of rib tip dinners with sauce on the side and some Mac n cheese to enjoy at home. The meat was tender and the smoke flavor was awesome! The mild sauce was a perfect compliment as it was just the right combo of tangy and spice. Mac and cheese was enjoyed as well and so creamy! We will definitely be back. My sister and I have been to Kings Ribs (West 16th Street) MANY times. I'm not certain if it has changed hands, but this visit we were not thrilled! Normally, there had been a problem getting what was ordered--order 1/2 chicken all white (pay $1.50 extra) and you just get mixed. That happened this time also). It's difficult to check the order since it's all wrapped in plastic. Also, the potato salad has always been good; this time the potatoes were not done and the seasoning wasn't right. On 12/14/24 around 4.15p, I ordered a tip dinner with mild sauce, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, and potato salad. I only ate 6-7 tips, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese. I didn't eat anything else after this meal. 5-6 hours later I experienced food poisoning symptoms. I contacted the restaurant on 12/15/24 at 12.24p and spoke to a gentle communicating my issue. He asked apologized and told me to have a good day. I don't want anything from this restaurant. I just want to make others aware and wanted to make the restaurant aware of this issue. I have driven by here many times and there is always a line, but this day I decided to actually stop and I'm so glad I did. I went around 7:30 on a Friday and for some reason there was no line. I zipped right up and ordered. I ordered rib tips and a pulled chicken sandwich and two order of green beans. Typically when I order via the drive thru there is always something wrong with my order but my order was all there! Once home it was amazing. The chicken tasted very fresh and my husband said the ribs were fantastic. We got the mild sauce with hot on the side and mixed them. Perfection. I would recommend getting out of your car and walking up to the window. Or, if you are placing an order over $40, you can call ahead. However, there is still a wait because they wait until you arrive to package the order, but you'll have priority...or so they say! If using the drive thru, you place your order at the second menu board. I somehow missed doing that, but they were very gracious and took my order at the window. Apparently, it's a common rookie mistake. There's a daily special Monday thru Thursday, only. We tried the chicken/tips combo, 1/2 rack ribs, Mac n cheese, baked beans, mild and hot bbq sauce. Everything was very well packaged. Not a single leak or spill. I was impressed. Chicken: phenomenal! Ok so I been going to king ribs on Georgetown. I go once a week and they have been rude Everytime. I also tip pleasantly. I do have a tough order and they never got it right. Today I decided to try the kings ribs on keystone and I don't regret it. Not only did they get my order correct I had extra extra sauce and my meat was done , no pink, and on top of that one of there employees bizi helped me fix my car. What a service. Never felt so comfortable with employees from a restaurant as I did today. The ladies taking orders were so patient with my crazy order and Leroy who is one of the grillers really took his time making sure my the meat had no pink. I will now always go to this location. When the meat is grilled right, it's really good. I usually get the rib dinner that comes with two sides. They offer two sauces, hot or mild, and I like to order them mixed for a tasty combo. Occasionally, there are times when a rib is burned by the fire resulting in burnt, unchewable pieces. They have daily specials Sunday through Thursday. It's not uncommon to see a long line wrapped around their property spilling onto Keystone especially on the weekends. I love King Ribs! Their meat is so tender and flavorful. We typically will get barbecued chicken and rib tips. We love the bite sized pieces of ribs. Periodically I will get a pig's foot. No one else in my family eats pig's feet, but I think they are Yum! This restaurant is all drive through and walk up business. The line of cars for the drive through is usually very long. You can sit in line for an hour or more. There is also a walk up window. We normally park and go to it. It is a lot faster. The longest I've waited is 15 minutes when ordering at the window. This is another one of my favorite spots to get barbecue. I usually get the same thing every time I go, rib tip dinner, mild sauce, with macaroni and cheese and baked beans. I will say that the majority of the time they are SUPER busy.....I mean cars wrapped around the building type of busy. Planning and timing are EVERYTHING when going here, unless you don't mind the wait, which could be 45 minutes or more depending on the day and time. On this particular day I was fortunate enough to get there early, thank goodness. They only offer drive thru service, along with walk up service as well, which some people choose to do if the drive thru line is too long. As far as the food, they have a variety of meat options including ribs, chicken, pork on bun and beef on bun, along with pigs feet (if that's your thing). The sauce is to die for, just the right spice, they offer it in mild, medium and hot for you brave souls. They also sell their sauce by the gallons if you are addicted to it. They offer what I consider to be typical barbecue sides, and a few desserts. As mentioned on this day I got my go to meal. The service was great as always, but the food was just okay. The rib tips were mainly just chucks of bone with meat here and there as if maybe they had gotten to the end of the rib. The baked beans were delicious as always, but the Mac and cheese was a bit dry on this day and lacked a little of the flavor it usually has. Overall not a bad experience at all. My meat was actually smoked, I could taste the BBQ flavor! The quality of the meat it self was much different than I've had from that location in the past as well. It was actually meaty! There's a reason you'll usually find the line of cars winding twice around the building from lunch till dinner. Yummy BBQ and surprisingly fast, especially for how much they offer on their menu. They are also the nicest people EVER. They are always so busy, yet I've never been greeted with even the faintest of a scowl. I took my little buddy there for the first time yesterday and had to make him a little makeshift plate in the car, for the ride home, because the smell made him so hungry he couldn't wait. We've got some insane smoke and meat in Texas but, I rarely come across meat as tender and 'fall off the bone' as the brisket at King Ribs. And it's not just the meat!
