Finally I came back after months last time before today I waited in line forever then got to speaker they couldn't hear. Sadly, this place is usually great, but today, Friday, May 1, 2020, things were bad. I went to pick up a three item combo for my family with the same expectation of great seafood at a reasonable price, but when I returned home, I noticed something was wrong with the fish. They smelled like fecal matter and ammonia. Those smells are normally associated with unclean and rotten fish. I grew up on the bayou, so I know this smell. Someone on the team cooked and served rotten fish. I'd never experienced that from this place before, and I thought to alert the store immediately of the problem, so no one could get sick from Ciguatera or Scombroid, because when I first purchased food there based on a friend sharing their meal, one of the employees prided themselves on having a great establishment and hoping to be able to keep up with the new customer demand. I didn't want to see their business go down, let alone have anyone get sick, especially with Covid-19 going on, so I tried called the store. Unfortunately, each time I called, I was sent to voicemail, and as I began to leave a message, the phone was hung up. I tried three (3) times calling the number ending in 1206, until I went back to the website and tried calling the number ending in 1207. When I tried the secondary number, I encountered the same problem. I'm not sure if it was the staff from the 10:30am to 8pm shift that worked today, but I feel really sorry to have to write this review. I just don't want anyone to get poisoned, and sadly, answering the phone just once would've helped with this situation, instead of making it this public. I hope the staff that did not cause this dilemma understand. No one deserves to be sent to the ER, because someone was completely irresponsible or just didn't care enough for their customers. I'm providing a link to Poison Control relating to food poisoning from fish. Hopefully, this will help some who received food from there between those hours. I will have to say this is my go to I want chicken spot. The location is bad, and the restaurant its self is a shack that seems to be falling apart. Other then those two flaws I haven't had any food from here I havent been in love with. I normally order a 10 piece chicken meal. The chicken is full wings, and are very big. They fill the box up and have to wrap it with a bag to keep it closed. Definitely a lot of food. I also enjoy the gyros here the lamb is always roasting right behind the counter where you can see them take the meat from everytime. I'm only giving this review a 4 star because of location and because of how run down the place looks. The food has always been great. Catfish is really good,, most of everything else was good, even though it was little greasier than I would prefer. However, their hot sauce is some of the best hot sauce ever. I don't know if they make it themselves, buy it from somewhere else or doctor somebody else's sauce. It' is damn good hot sauce. Hot, thick (but not totally thickened like buffalo wing sauce), not too vinegary. It's as if Frank's Red Hot was actually hot. I'm sure I'll be here the next time I'm around. read more

Me and the guys from the office have been coming here for over 8 years. We drive 30 minutes to get here and come at least twice a month. We have had most of the items on the menu, but our continued favorite is their Italian Beef sandwich. This is the best beef sandwich I've had since Chicago. They serve it on a French bread roll and pile on the beef ( enough to feed 2) you can have roasted green peppers or a hot pepper, vegetable mix and you can ask that the "dip the bun" they dip it in the juice. We visited this location last Saturday, and not only was the food excellent, but their service went above and beyond. Our car unfortunately broke down in the service lane, and not only did the workers offer to help us push the car, but them and one of the other customers jumped the car and we were able to successfully get it to a mechanic. This place has been my all time favorite for a while now. I went here to get a fried chicken dinner, which they sprinkle with lemon salt. When I first walked in I got hit with the door in my elbow. That hurt to say the least. My only disappointment is the same door has been this way, for quite some time now. It has been this way for at least 2 years that I know of. So I told the cashier who rung my order up & she told the manager. He asked me what happened again, so I nicely explained.
