Just got introduced to this place and I wish it didn't take me so long! They are friendly and the seafood is AMAZING! Best catfish in town.

I tried the shrimp po boy and boy is it delicious, the breading on the shrimp has just the right crisp and so tender at the same time !!! The hush puppies are sooo good if you like a little spicy you'll love them very flavorful.. Customer service is great , food is hot and fresh !! I will definitely be returning !!! read more

It was OK. I had the 6pc shrimp, my husband had a fish po'boy and my girl had the chicken strips. The shrimp and po'boy were good but my daughter didn't like the chicken strips. The waffle fries weren't the best and I didn't like the tarter sauce. They charge 75 cents for refills which kind of sucks when the drinks were 2 dollars. I wouldn't make a special trip out here but if you're hungry for seafood and in the area, give it a try. read more

Small place. But really good food. I had the shrimp po'boy. The bread was warm and toasted. The shrimp were tender and crispy at the same time. Awesome sandwich. I ordered the flounder and asked if they could blacken it, when I got it it was wrapped up in tin foil and not blackened, ask for cocktail sauce, for my shrimp they informed me there would be a 40 cents, I don't know what they think cocktail sauce is, but what they sold me wasn't cocktail sauce. read more

Was visiting Corpus and wanted to find an awesome 'hole in the wall' restaurants that served some good ol' fried shrimp. I wasn't too sure what to expect while I GPS'd the location and when I pulled up- low and behold; a small, shabby restaurant located not in the prettiest part of town. Don't let the looks fool you though- although the inside was small (just a few tables but they do have drive through service), the food was AMAZING! I had gotten the fried shrimp basket but got coleslaw instead of fries, with a side of hush puppies! Everything was AMAZING (I was impressed with the coleslaw- most places just fake it to make it but you can tell King Seafood put some love into it). Everything was fresh and clean and super yummy! The homemade lemonade was especially good! Staff was very nice and even though it may look dingy on the outside- it's very clean on the inside! Interestingly enough from looking on the outside and being a small place I was not expecting much but was surprised to be served delicious food. Fresh food. It's biggest drawback that really is tough is that they do not accept American Express. Makes it tough on you if you're a business traveler coming through and that's what you carry but the food is worth it. It does have counter service so don't go expecting anything else. This was delicious. The portions were huge, it was seasoned well, the prices were fair. If we lived here, this would be a place we would be coming to repeatedly. It's a hole in the wall, tiny little restaurant and that's exactly what the look and feel of it is. This isn't a place to come for atmosphere and I didn't expect it of it. This is a place where you come for the amazing, greasy food. We had oyster and crab po'boys (came with waffle fries), stuffed crabs with sweet potato fries, hush puppies, and cheese poppers. My kids said the husb puppies were too spicy for them and the poppers were spicy as well, so just a heads up if that's an issue for you. read more

Found this little JEM on yelp, otherwise I wouldn't of stopped or known it existed. It's one of those small hole in the wall places where you can't wait to return. I had the shrimp POboy, it was incredible. The wife had the fish, shrimp, and stuffed crab combo. The stuffed crab was only thing she didn't rave about but only because it was to many textures at once and she is weird with textures and being mixed with food. Their tartar sauce is incredible too. The only thing I might change on my order might be no fries. While the seasoning was excellent, they were just plain waffle fries. I would rather get more shrimp or hush puppies. We will be visiting this place again when we come back. read more

My family stopped by here on our way to Port A, they did not disappoint. Large portions, fresh, and quick. The high chairs looked brand new and clean for our 1 y/o to sit in. We ordered one of each variety of Po Boy, the oyster was the best. The prices are VERY reasonable for the size of portion you get. The only "complaint" is about 4 times while we were eating we had people come in trying to sale fruit cups, candy apples, and banana bread. read more

I spent an hour searching seafood places after a day of site visits and meetings. At first I concentrated on places along the bay because restaurants closer to the water are supposed to have fresher seafood. However, no restaurants along the bay got glowing recommendations; they were all pretty mediocre. That's when I extended my search radius and found King Seafood. Great reviews - I was sold. I ordered 6-piece fried shrimp and oysters no fries, a crab a la carte, and hush puppies. (I had gone for a jog along the boardwalk in the morning and had a light lunch. By 5pm, I was starving.) I followed the advice of my fellow yelpers and gave this place a whirl tonight while visiting Corpus Christi. And I'll just say this: you people are CRAZY if you think this place has good seafood. It's barely a step above Long John Silvers. My shrimp tasted like the shrimp I could get from the frozen seafood section at walmart. In addition to that, it was SO HOT in there. The heat from the kitchen comes through the window you order at and there is no ventilation in there. My boyfriend literally had sweat dripping from his face. It felt like we were suffocating in there. Yeah, it's affordable but you definitely get what you pay for here- cheap food. Never again! read more

This is my go to for ghetto love! Fried flounder is the best, Second to Black Damond and that's saying a lot! If you"we in the hood and want some good eats, I highly recommend this small joint! We chose this restaurant after checking several reviews in CC. We are in town for a couple of days and wanted to make the most of our meals. The food was okay at best. They are very rigid with their menu and drink refills. Four of us eating, and our bill was ~$45. I love fresh seafood. Have enjoyed fresh all over, Alaska, San Francisco, Galveston, Northeast Coast, Florida... I would bet money that the shrimp were from a box. The fish was ok, but not special. You will get really full, but I'm not sure it's worthy of 4 stars. read more

Thanks to YELP for a great lunch. The food here is top notch and the prices are amazing. 3.50 for a huge fish taco can't be beat. The neighborhood is rough - not for those who can't hack the barrio - but well worth the drive, and there's a drive through so you don't have to get out of your car. I ordered the King platter which contained a flounder fillet, waffle fries, four shrimp, roll. Awesome tartar sauce and Lemon wedges. Everything was very delicious. I wasn't too impressed with the shrimp. It lacked flavor. Everything was batter-fried and it wasn't too "bready." My wife ordered the catfish platter with waffle fries. She loved it! I ordered. First visit to King's. We recently moved to Corpus and have been looking for a great seafood restaurant. This isn't it. We ordered a #23 (2 fish, 2 shrimp, 2 oysters and 1 stuffed crab), a King flounder platter, 8 piece shrimp, order of onion rings and a side of hush puppies. It was about $43 total and neither of us were impressed. The highlight of the meal was the flounder. It was a nice sized filet with great seasoning and fried perfectly. That's about the end of the praise. The other fish, along with the shrimp and fries and everything except the oysters were obviously frozen. The oysters seemed fresh but the breading was total mush. The fries were soggy and nothing special. The food wasn't BAD, but it certainly wasn't worth over $40. There was nothing in the meal that I couldn't get in the freezer section at HEB. The biggest put-off for me was that they charge $2.25 for a side of hush puppies and you get 4 that are literally the size of large marbles. They actually taste good but they, along with everything else we got, seemed way over priced for frozen food. read more

The hush puppies, cheese poppers, shrimp and fish poboy are the bomb. The prices are more than fair and the sauce they use is delicious. This place looks sketchy but the food here is really good. Not in the best part of town but worth the trip. I've been here a couple times and the only reason I give it 4 stars is because the people seem kinda sassy and I found a hair in my food, but those things happen sometimes. This isn't a big place. There are 7 small tables for patrons. The menu is a good size, although just about everything is fried. The food was satisfying, Waffle fries and shrimp. Service was prompt but curt. Almost no money was put into creating an atmosphere of this place. read more

So, the food is good, I've been coming here for a long time and these guys get a lot of business and i have noticed because their prices went up! lol, and am starting to not come as much just because the amount of food you get is not equal to the amount of food there is on your plate.
