Recently dropped my shocks off for rebuild service. They quoted me 2 weeks but were able to get it back to me in a few days. Really honest and friendly staff. Staff is also really competent. This review is based on a pre-install customer service visit. I purchased a set of OEM performance series coil overs and rear shocks from a 3rd party vendor. Well, the day I pick up the parts, the coilovers are the incorrect part number and will not fit on my 4Runner. This 3rd party vendor files bankruptcy a week later and I cannot return the product. I ended up emailing sales telling them my dilemma. I wait a couple days and then write another email. With no response I ended up calling them. This is the second time that I've called them in the last year, and each time I was immediately transferred to a sales rep. The rep tells me to come down the next day and they will try and do what they can. Being about 45 minutes away from the shop, that sounds great to me. I end up driving down and I was very lucky they had one complete kit that was assembled. The only problem was that it wasn't one of their "extended travel" units, which I wanted, but only losing .25" isn't going to make or break my experience, plus these are rebuildable so I can get that back in a couple years. The fact is, King is a RACE oriented suspension manufacturer. Their OEM customers, while I'm sure are important, don't have to be their main concern. I'm a very small fish in a very big pond. That said, Jason Gonzalez and Frank Panuzzo made me feel very important and took care of me even as their busy season is well underway. This is exactly the reason I chose King over Fox or Bilstein. Local company with a lot of very happy customers, well at least on the Toyota forums, if not here. read more

This review is only for the customer service for their apparel site. Be careful when you order from their website. If you email them that you got the wrong item, they respond with the same questions when they can obviously see the conversation trail in the email. Anyways. I ordered a whole bunch of T-shirts and was sent the wrong color. You would think it would be a simple fix. Nope!!! It's about a month later and still no answer to how I can swap the shirt for the one I actually ordered. I did get an email saying they will send it with my new order. Why would I order again when getting the correct order isn't even for sure? I gave up on the service this site provided. All I wanted was the blue shirt to match my suspension. The King shocks are the best. My brother has them on his Jeep TJ. We were at King of the Hammers 2018 and the support was amazing. We weren't even racing but because my brother has King shocks they said they would tune them for us. Gerardo Lribe is the Lead shock tuner and he personally went out with my bother and I to watch and tune the shocks for my brothers Jeep. It was amazing. Bought some king coilovers for my tundra a couple weeks ago and have had no problems as of writing this, the king customer service end needs some serious work! Called to ask a question regarding the installation and the receptionist has such a soft voice I could barely understand 90% of what she was saying. The first time I called I think she told me the techs were at lunch and to call back later. I called back two days later and the same receptionist told me the techs were busy. She took my name and phone# and told me they would call back. Well it's been over a week and still no response. I bought my Kings for my long travel full size Bronco at their older location. I went and talked with Bret. He looked at my suspension and had me weigh the whole truck and front and rear separate. I gave him the results and he built my shocks. I have been running them for years and am amazed at how well they work. High speed through big whoops with control and so smooth I wont spill my drink. Ok thought I was buying a awesome product with an excellent reputation. Was I ever wrong they don't stand behind there shocks. The repair department has a monkey by the name of Mark who lies out of both sides of his you know what! Then they charge you sales tax on shipping and when you tell them you can't and prove it to them they just hang up the phone on you! Anybody want some shocks mine are for sale!!!!!! Bought a set of King 2.5 shocks for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Parts arrived looking great. Had a shop install them on my jeep. Started driving everything seemed great......so I thought. The driver front shocks stopped functioning wouldn't compress at all or decompress. Contacted king WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Finally got a hold of someone but had to PAY for shipping to send the Shock in the get looked at. Okay thought I'd pay shipping they'd fix it and send it back since something internal. King contacted me a week later saying shock shaft was bent. How can it bend if no physical damage no off-roading and shock was straight as can be. Charged me $100 to repair plus $50 shipping! Shock came back installed again and same issue! Must be internal defect but worst experience ever. I PAID $2000 for the shocks thinking I'm getting BEST out there but I have to say I'm disgusted and very disappointed. I've had many Jeeps have had Bilsten & Fox shocks and have never had problems. Don't fall for their scam definitely WILL NEVER RECOMMEND. STAY AWAY FROM THESE LYING MISLEADING THIEVES. To make things worse PayPal sides with King and won't take my side even though I have letters from the shop stating shocks are faulty. Go buy Fox or Falcon shocks don't give these people your business. read more
