This King Soopers has the worst service of any King Soopers as I think I've ever been to. The people on the floor are amazing. And most of the people at the checkout lanes are nice. But not all that's for sure. The customer service lady with a purple hair at the counter doesn't even look up at you. I waited for probably four minutes and she still didn't look up. And then she coughed into her hand and started touching the screen so I turned around and walked out. Seriously please get some nicer people at your customer service counter. Not only that I have spoken to so many people that work at that grocery store and they all say the same thing that they would recommend working at King Soopers just not this one. And I wonder why... I am so tired of throwing out moldy bread and fruit from this store. Check everything closely the packaging seems to camoflage issues. Just be careful, check expiration dates. They're vegetable section is the best! They usually have very fresh local vegetables well washed and trimmed displayed very nicely. The bakery has several breads which are out of this world one is pumpernickel and rye and an Italian bread that has a demi Italian loaf not cut that is so good my husband and I can't stop eating it! Donuts are very good too! Dairy section as well stocked with great variety especially the cheeses and that very fair prices we love shopping here! read more

king soopers employees are on strike, I looked uptheir earnings last year and they made enough to pay out over $7 billion to investors, yet they are cutting the employees benefits? That tells me a couple things about this company. 1. they are overly focused on profits at the expense of their employees who deliver the services to customers that keep the company in business. 2. they are charging me too much for products, gouging due to inflation. 3. management/leadership is no different than other greedy/callous corporations in their treatment of the people who are their assets. I support the people who make king soopers a store that I like to shop at, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, they remember me by name, always nice/respectful. This means that I will be shopping elsewhere until they resolve their differences and I hope the employees get a better deal. read more

Great little supermarket chain up here in Denver area. Bought some local fare and will add more info and maybe pics. Reminds me of a Kroger. The prosciutto I bought to make croque madame for breakfast was excellent. The 80/20 hamburger we bought to make burgers for our 4th of July cookout was outstanding. I've been coming here for 4 years. The staff is AMAZING. They must be doing a great job in management, because many of the same people have worked here for years. The guy behind the meat counter is so nice, always recognizes me and asks how my family is doing. Christian the tall friendly young guy always says hello and is great. Same with many of the ladies at the checkout area, and one young guy in high school who's been there for years is the absolute nicest. Honestly just 10/10 I have a lot of good things to say about you all. Thank you for working the holidays, and getting to know your customers so nicely! I ALREADY hate going there but it's close to my house so I ran in for ONE THING. my coupon didn't come off, so I pointed it out to the person watching self check out. Tgey told me to go to customer service so I did. the poor olde woman said she'd been there some time as a girl was on her phone checking something. I asked the checker who had no one if he could call a manager and he was very nice. I was pointed to what I assume is a District manager and two store managers. I briefly told them some manager was needed in customer service and went back to stand in a line where there were now several people. What happened now is the reason I will no longer go to that hell hole: the woman manager GAVE ME ATTITUDE. told me " I'll open a check stand for your TWO DOLLARS." I was FLORRED. Yesterday I place a pick up order. Included in the order were 2 twelve packs of diet Mtn Dew and a twelve pack of diet Cherry Pepsi. The ad for yesterday had a buy-3 deal on Pepsi products. I picked up, and when I got home, I realized that I got the Mountain Dew, but not the Pepsi. And, they charged me full price for the Mountain Dew. I called the store to talk to their pick up department. The girl who answered the phone could not explain why the didn't either sub in another Mountain Dew, as I had the account set so they could substitute for anything...or adjust the price so I got the sale price on the two 12 packs. She said she had no idea why they hadn't done this. When I asked what I needed to do to get this fixed, she said I would need to print the receipt and take it and the soda into the in to the store so they could refund what I paid, then sell me 3 at the sale price. I am not going into stores in person yet, so I waited until my adult son was off work and asked him to do this for me. My sons took the soda in to the Customer Services desk...where they were told that there was nothing the Customer Service clerk could do to help solve the problem, as there was no manager on duty and the clerk can't issue refunds. It was 7 p.m. They told my sons to leave the soda and my name, telling them that as soon as the manager got in today, he would process the refund. The clerk added that if it wasn't done, I should call in the morning. My sons then went through the check out and purchased 3 12 packs of soda at the sale price, as the sale ended last night. This morning I checked both my Kroger account and my bank. No refund had been issued. I called, and the girl at Customer Service told me she hadn't seen any soda, and didn't know anything about this. She put a gentleman who said he was the manager on the line. I explained this to him, and he became aggressive. He kept demanding that I explain why his employees did the things they did. First he told me that the pick up service couldn't possibly substitute soda because they wouldn't know what the customer wanted, then he admitted that they could have just given me another diet Mtn Dew. After that, he told me that he didn't know why the customer service desk would tell me there was no manager on duty, as there is ALWAYS a manager on duty. (This is the second time they told me that, so either their managers are punching and and then leaving the store, they really don't have managers working, or they are lying to customers to avoid doing refunds or dealing with other problems.) The manager also told me that there is no way that they could issue a refund without my card and that he had no way of using my loyalty card number OR the receipt numbers to look up the orders to verify what I was saying. I finally stopped him, telling him that I have no idea why his employees do anything they do, and I wanted to deal with the issue at hand. He then began telling me that he didn't know what I expected him to do, and began demanding to know why I had returned products that I wanted. I again explained that his employees told my sons that they could NOT help them last night, so the option was to either keep soda I had overpaid for or trust them. He kept demanding to know what I expected him to do. He wanted me to go to the store and just get 2 twelve packs of soda and keep them...at full price. I pointed out that if I had been willing to pay full price, I would have kept them in the first place. He then offered to send me a gift card or said I would have to bring the card used for the purchase in . I told him that when my younger son got home from University today, I would have him bring the card in. I then asked him his name, and he said it wasn't important because there would always be a manager on duty and any of them could help me. My son got home around 1 today. He went into the store and the manager came to talk with him. He says he thinks the manager's name is Trevor...but remembered it started with a "t" and wasn't sure. The man who came up was exceedingly rude. He told my son he wasn't going to go searching for 2 twelve packs of soda and that he was actually supposed to be off the clock, so he wasn't dealing with this. After he flounced off, the Customer Service clerk, Emily C., went ahead and issued the refund. She is the only person at this King Soopers who seems to understand the concept of "Customer Service". Horrible manager. Employees who either don't know what store policy is or who are thrown under the bus by management. And, someone at this store is lying...either the clerks who claimed there was no manager working last night or the manager today. What this all looks like to me is that this store is PURPOSELY shorting orders when you try to purchase products that require you to purchase multiples to get the sale. They are then willing to act rude and crazy to avoid honoring the sale price. read more

Can I give this store negative reviews? Okay first they're always out of stuff. Second the staff is so rude literally mean. I had one interaction with this older lady that works in seafood I didn't know what kind of crab I needed and she yelled at me for not knowing, my boyfriend had to finish the interaction because of how mean she actually was to me. Then today I was at the self checkout and I forgot I had to go and get an item and "Beth" the self checkout lady could not be more annoyed that I had to go grab something. I didn't ask her to go grab it I just needed like 10 seconds to go and get something and come right back and she's all you between hurry I guess go run make it quick, literally so condescending. I'm a grown ass woman and she is talking to me like I'm her child. So disrespectful and have made me feel uncomfortable to even go back in there. I hate shopping here, I had to for my Mother. They rejected her return, then I got rejected again. Simply, trying to buy a single beer. Why, store policy the ignorant cashier that had no clue, I could easily do this at Safeway with no worries. Their product selection is as bad as Walmart. Their organic selection is a joke! I've been going to this grocery store, exclusively, for the last six years since moving to the area. I shop at least once a week and have a family of four, so I hit every area in the store on a regular basis. Now, I'm not really sure what's gone on here in the last 9-12 months, but this store has gone way down hill on the front end services and overall customer service. Their produce manager and meat/butcher manager are friendly, knowledgeable and keep their specialty areas well stocked and clean. The dairy case is typically well stocked and the items are relatively far enough out from their expiration date. I have a hard time locating anyone in the bakery and in the floral departments on a regular basis. I would give these five areas 5, 5, 4, 3 and 3 star ratings respectively. However, the rest of the store needs more attention, especially on the front end. While there have been several occasions in the last couple of months where shelves weren't fully stocked, I understand the logistics of transportation, especially in the fall/winter isn't an exact science so I can overlook those occasions. HOWEVER, there's no logical reason explaining why there are only 4 registers open at 1PM on a Sunday. Moreover, why at least one of those is an express lane when there are 8 (YES...8) self service registers open is a mystery. Why there isn't a bagger 75% of the time and why I'm having to "train" the bagger when there is one is a bit aggravating. (Eggs don't get bagged with glass jars of marinara and bananas don't get bagged with a gallon of milk, right?) I even load my cart with like items being placed together to make it easier and still, the baggers are a mess. Go in at 5:30 am and you'll find no staffed registers open. And, the self service lanes that accommodate 4 spaces for you to bag groceries are shut down in lieu of having the smaller self service lanes open. Why? The store is now closed from midnight to 5am so there's no reason any of these lanes should need serviced and no reason for them to be closed. In our politically charged atmosphere the last thing a person wants is to meet a group of people pressuring you to register for the party that you are not affiliated with just outside the door to King Soopers. Having the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts or the Salvation Army stationed outside the door is certainly appropriate and welcomed but having politics thrust into your face when you go out to buy groceries is a serious turnoff! ANTI-SEMITISM ALERT I went early this morning to pick up balloons that still weren't ready yesterday, ordered Wednesday, and there was no one at the counter yet so I shopped, returning to balloons multiple times until 830 and there was still no one at the counter so I asked for help. I asked the woman at the counter about the bunch of pink balloons I assumed were our order and she became rude and combative, demanded to know if I had her called over there and then told me I had to go somewhere else or come back later because she'd been there all morning and had too much work to do. I hadn't seen her in the past hour but the rudeness of her attitude felt more like discrimination because she wouldn't let me speak or answer. I told her again, I just want to buy these few here and she said, "Go do your other shopping and come back later today. I don't have time to help you." I had hoped to add a few mylar balloons in but she said no, she won't. I've come in every day since Wednesday when I placed the order at the counter. At this point I'm certain she's behaving this way because I'm wearing a Star of David. I was so stunned by her refusal to provide service, I decided I didn't want someone that hateful filling balloons for the happy occasion of welcoming my son home and celebrating his birthday. I told her I will buy the balloons elsewhere. I will also buy my groceries elsewhere. We spend about $400/wk at this KS for past few years and will never spend another cent if anti-Semitism is tolerated in employees. She did tell me she was sorry she can't help but I told her she should apologize to her managers instead for losing sales to the store because we will never return and will be certain to explain what I experienced to our community. It's 2019 and time to stop discriminating against one another over religion and race including boycotting any merchant who does. read more

Poor, poor management! 1. They're inadequately stocked on sale items and refuse to issue rain checks. Very deceptive advertising tactics ~ no mention of a "NO rain checks' policy in their advertising. Reputable grocers have adequate inventory and respect their customers by issuing rain checks if for some reason they've run short on an item. 2. Store is unkept. 3. Store does not enforce state mandate. Every single time there is no less than two people without a mask. Not people wearing them improperly, just no mask whatsoever. Staff is alerted and states there is no way to enforce it. Leaving the customers to confront other customers regarding the issue. Creates a health issue and a physical safety in the store. read more

Considering this grocery store is literally within walking distance, I can't complain! It's always clean, bright and friendly and well stocked. I also plan my visits so that I'm there when it's slow, which if you're there on a holiday weekend, try to avoid that rush! The store always has what I need unless it's a specialy item and I also like the coupons I receive in the mail. read more

In my opinion I think that King Soopers is the best store in the world. First, King Soopers has good food. First it has good donuts and cookies and everytime me and my little brother go he gets the donuts and I get the cookies. Last, it has kids favorite kind of ice cream and popsicles for the popsicles they have different colors and for the Ice cream it has different flavors. Next, is the atmosphere Service. First it has friendly people and they always give you options there like "would you like 1 pound or 2 pounds?" see that's what I like and the cashregister people are nice. Last it has cool Hot wheels also they have theme cars like Peanuts or Minions. Now you know why I think that King Soopers is the best store in the world and I think you should try it out someday. read more

The Pharmacy at this location does not listen to what I'm saying. The females that i spoke with today assumed things and decided what to do. After repeatedly explaining my situation, how my insurance works as an Active duty soldier and how to retrieve my prescription they still didn't want to hear me. I called several hours later to be told they couldn't find my prescription at any other King Soopers. Of course not, because it was coming from a military provider on post. I explained this multiple times AND gave them the phone number to call to speak with the other pharmacy. Because it's out of the ordinary it's must be wrong ‍ The truly sad piece of this is that I've used this pharmacy before and the gentleman I spoke with at that time was all over it. Well, I used to love this location... shopped there all the time, even after we moved further away from it, we'd "take the extra miles" to shop here. Unfortunately, after today they've completely lost my business. I'm doing my part, only shopping once every 2 weeks, I wear a mask, I'm trying to stay out of the stores while we're all dealing with this COVID-19 crud. My anniversary is on Saturday, so I thought I'd make something special. I headed to the meat department to get steaks, salmon, and if they had any, crab legs. The woman behind the meat counter was SO rude to me from the very get go! I asked her to please remove the skin from the entire 1/2 a salmon I was purchasing, and she told me she doesn't know how to skin it, that the only guy that did just left, so I had to deal with it! If they can't truly "customize my order", then don't have a sign sitting right there saying that they can!! Furthermore, shouldn't all meat counter employees, aka butchers, know how to skin a fish??? I see some lack of training there!! So, then I said ok, forget it and asked if they had any tenderloins. Then, literally yelling at me she told me she didn't know what they had, she was the only one there, and that she couldn't "do this all by herself". I told her calmly that we're all stressed out, I realized they were short staffed and that we're all going through "something", that I felt she didn't need to be talking to me that way, and asked if she'd please go check for me. All huffy and puffy she started walking to the back where I literally saw her stop to complain about me to a co- worker!! I guess she wasn't alone after all! I told her to forget it! I didn't mean to stress her out by asking her to do her job, and I walked away. She came out a couple minutes later (I only saw because I was across from the meat section getting Jimmy Dean Sausage) and she yells across the store that her co-worker is cutting up tenderloins for me right now (in a really snotty tone) while she stocked pre packaged meat (literally she brought out 3 prepackaged roasts). I spotted a manager when I was checking out my other items, told him I was appalled at her customer service, and he apologized and said he'd take care of it. But, it probably fell on deaf ears- who knows if he even talked to her!!?! He didn't even seem at all upset his employee was so rude!! Bottom line- that store lost my patronage, I'll never shop there again. If you are going to shop at Kings, don't pick this location!!! read more

Wow I am extremely impressed! I usually go to Safeway down the street, but I was over by the kingsoopers so I decided to stop in only out of convenience for myself. After having a very long day starting at 4 am, and finally walking in to get some dinner at 9pm from the deli I was exhausted and extremely hungry. I stood there trying to decide what to get with what brain cells I had left from my day. Then a very kind gentleman walked over to me and offered suggestions and asked me how my day was :). People don't ask me that often, let alone strangers. I was having kind of a down day, and just because Shannon, the gentleman at the deli smiled at me so kindly, helped me pick out my dinner, and asked me how my day was I will ALWAYS come back here :). Cindy in floral is a true asset. Knowledgeable, passionate, personable, and helpful. Was planning on going to a specialty flower shop or Whole Foods to pick out an arrangement for a meaningful event. I was near King Soopers so I just popped in for a peak. Immediately was acknowledged by Cindy was patient with me and seemed to actually care that I got what I wanted and didn't settle. Could go on and on. She's a keeper. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else re: floral as long as Cindy is there. read more

very distrubing and disappointing to see how poorly the employees deal with someone not wearing a mask when it's mandatory in this area. I observed or talked to 3 different employees about it and they did absolutely nothing. They said nothing to the person not wearing a mask nor did they contact their manager. The first was a produce person, the maskless person walked up and asked him a question. He did not point out that masks are required or where this person could find one in the store, he just kept on stocking. The second was a bakery employee. After she was done with her conversation with a friend, I asked her if she noticed anything unusual about the guy walking around behind me. She didn't notice so I had to point out that he wasn't wearing a mask and she still had no comment. I asked her how the store addresses these situations and she said she can't do anything. I said I understand but could she contact her manager and she repeated that there is nothing she can do. So I went to the service desk and the person there told me there was nothing he could do so I asked if the sherrif's department might be able to help. At that point, he contacted his manager and the manager had a conversation with the unmasked person. read more

Larger store has everything, well almost everything you could need. Meats section was a weird layout and hard to find what you were looking for (chicken, beef, pork) because you couldn't see anything until you were right next to the bin. Produce section could use better lighting. Its right up front but dimly lit. Staff was a bit surly on two of the four visits we made. read more

I really like this King Soopers as it is a quick access off of 47 470 at Wadsworth. and it has a great hot selection bar for pre-made items. It has a fantastic array of cheeses and the produce section always seems fresh and well organized.it's a a great store without being too overwhelming in terms of its size & has a lot to offer. read more

I just moved to the area and this is the closest King Soopers. Its a nice store. Clean, and modern. But I had a hard time finding certain things because its a completely different store layout then the King Soopers in Conifer I was used to going to. I guess I will need to learn the new layout. The one negative I have though is that I ordered a pound of turkey from the deli and the bottom slice had a ton of seeds and other things on it like they did not clean the slicer before slicing my turkey. Hopefully just a one time occurance, but only time will tell. read more

Thought I'd give this store another chance after my previous bad experience; bad idea. Easily the worst, most unsatisfactory, disappointing experience I've had in any King Soopers. Merchandise priced wrong or not there at all (many bare spots on shelves). Customer service people unhelpful, uncaring, uninformed and uninterested.
