I found this little gem of a coffee shop while scouting for coffee shops in Folsom. The drip coffee is fantastic, and it is so nice to see a coffee house that can pull a proper shot of espresso. The drinks are well balanced and inventive. The staff are welcoming and generous and take the time to make sure your coffee experience is a good one. They have the most wonderful egg sandwiches made with brioche, and there lox and cream cheese is something you would find in a gourmet restaurant. If your in Folsom by the outlets stop in and say hello, you wont be disappointed. read more

I am the skeptic. I travel the USA for work and question the collective palate of whatever town. I've seen awful 4 and half star restaurants with 1500 reviews. I saw this place had a unanimous 5 stars and said to myself sarcastic "is that right" ... I pull my own shots of espresso at home when I'm there with an espresso machine I hand built. I've been a coffee snob for decades. The guy with the beard who took my order was a no nonsense dude. I ordered the vanilla latte. And was very impressed with the spotless Gordon Ramsayesque environment and I have to say very nice equipment. I have to say I am very impressed with the roast and shot, the roast is far and above your mom and pop boutique. You know that "organic" grassy roasted green taste is almost gone but that's a good thing. This place makes a fantastic latte, hats off to your controls dialing in your systems. Still the best all time is the golden bean winner from Klatch, but Id put this place in the top 5 out of hundreds of shops I've been to. 5 stars. read more

Coffee is simply great, this place is awesome because their roast their own coffee, make their own almond milk, place is very clean, organized just perfect, their water station is always accessible & they give you tow option of cups, glass or plastic. I really enjoyed their Anadem espresso! One of the owners there pulled some excellent shots. You can taste the syrupy sweetness and the bright floral flavor in the cup! The cafe feels spacious and clean, with the beautiful roaster in the back. Side note: I really like how clean their bathroom is; it really is the cherry on top. Hint: their coffee slushee is definitely addicting; don't go there and NOT have a cup of it. They also have a delicious chocolate bar at the front of the counter! Their cafe's clean lines, cozy aesthetic, and simple buildout match the quality in the cup, an often overlooked aspect of any coffee shop. You know the cafe's good when both design and coffee are phenomenal! I took a few bags home; I can't wait to bring them back to NYC and try brewing the coffees with my fellow barista coworkers. First time stopped by here. Someone I've met at my church (Jesus culture Folsom) told me about this place. So we went for the first time with my husband and son. We loved the minimalist look when we came in and how clean it was! Two owners are the one that serves us are exceptionally professional and friendly and know what they are doing! And I found out that one of the guys wife also go to my church! Nice! My hubby and I ordered lattes. Omg! The best latte I've ever tried and I we have tried a lot of them! Ordered decaf with oat milk! Wow! Blew me away how good it tasted and creamy, foamy just the way I like it! First time trying it with oat milk and that's it I'm loving it!!! Will be regulars on Sunday before church see you on Sunday morning at 8 :) Totally recommend his place to everyone! Also kid friendly which is awesome!!! read more

Great coffee. Reminded me of a Bay Area coffee shop that I highly missed. However there was no food minus a couple bagels and cookies. The employees were not wearing masks either during the mandatory mask regulation due to covid. They didn't state anything when customers came in without a mask, which I get that is a grey area. However both employees who were making the food/coffee were not wearing any PPE. That was disappointing. Plus if prices seemed high. I got a small white mocha for $5.25. It wasn't blue bottle coffee for me to pay those prices. read more

Echoing the experience of other reviewers. Nice setting and good coffee but the shop is not enforcing mask wearing for customers. When a group came in without masks and was having a friendly chat with the baristas, I asked the barista (who wears his mask below his nose), why he isn't asking them to wear masks. The response: "we don't require customers to wear masks". After pointing to the sign on the door that clearly says that mask wearing is a requirement (the law, actually), he told me that it is up to the owner. Folks, do I really need to say any more about why masks are needed for EVERYONE? Please read/watch the news. Too bad that I won't be a customer any longer. We were in town from the Bay Area for the weekend. I like to think we know good coffee so I turned to Yelp for a good place to grab coffee with my husband. Kingdom Coffee Roasters came up and we made the drive from El Dorado Hills to Folsom to get some before breakfast. The place is located in a strip mall but once you enter the front doors, it's got a really cool vibe. I ordered an americano and my husband had a cappuccino. The guys working (who seemed like the owners) were very friendly and easy to talk to. You could tell the clientele are probably regulars and the music, tables, chess and decor all lends itself to a place you would want to hang out and enjoy the whole coffee experience. We both really enjoyed our coffee, no complaints whatsoever. Great basic menu, they even offer a small food menu (bacon/egg breakfast sandwich, avo toast, pb&j toast, scones, cookies). We both said we'd be back next time we are in town. If you're looking for seriously good craft coffee you need to try Kingdom. No snooty pretense, just really good coffee made by guys who you can tell love what they do. read more

This place is on point!!! I've been coming here consistently for beans and a warm cup on the run. What I enjoy most is their goals on bringing the best drinks to Folsom. From their seasonal mash-ups, Crown Jewel single origins or their house blend; you can't go wrong. The only downside is the slow wifi. I spent a lot of time debating the five star rating here. I saw all the five star ratings and really wanted to check them out. As far as coffee goes it is incredible. Some of the best coffee I've ever had. Very smooth, not at all bitter. Basically perfect. The place was very clean and the staff were super friendly. My only reservations are the location and the hours and days. I went by on a Monday and they are closed Mondays :(. The location makes sense in that it's close to numerous businesses (outlets and Intel) but it's not an area I'm at that much. I considered giving them a 4 star but the coffee was so stinking good I'd really go out of my way to get a cup. These guys know how to roast some coffee. read more

The guys at Kingdom Coffee know their stuff! All the coffee is good but I'm blown away by the honey cinnamon latte. It tastes like it has hints of cinnamon toast crunch, but not in an overpowering way. I admire the passion that they have towards their craft. When not busy, they're happy to chat about their coffee and roasting. Not good for non-dairy. The brand of oat milk they use tastes bad and brand is everything in non-dairy. Considering they surcharge $1 per drink for non-dairy milk, they could certainly afford to get the much better Oatly in the silver carton but instead they use some gross Califa farms or something. read more

Kind of a disappointment. After following Kingdom Coffee Roasters on Instagram for a while, watching the vacant store turn into a cool-looking coffee shop, I was excited to try them out. Especially since they're next to my friend's pizza shop. Unfortunately, it was a bust. There were two guys behind the counter - the one with the beard seemed friendlier. I'm not gonna lie, he made a pretty good drink! The other guy behind the counter was not as friendly, nor was welcoming. No smiles here. I asked for a vanilla latte, and they must not have any flavor syrups there because he said they couldn't make it - only a latte with simple syrup. Oh well, it was pretty good. Similar to Foxwood Coffee in Shingle Springs. The decor was nice, but like I mentioned, it didn't seem welcoming. I really wanted to like this place, but I am not able to give it five stars. I had originally provided a 3-star review, which was when this business was still fairly new. I hadn't visited for several months, but had always planned to return to give it another look, as Folsom so badly needs a 5-star coffee and tea shop. I'm delighted to say that Kingdom Coffee Roasters has arrived at that level and I can't wait to see how they will grow in the future. First off, the service and attitude are tip-top. They are sincere in their friendliness and make you feel welcome. That's significant to me, because I can make coffee at home. I go to an establishment like this for the atmosphere and good-feeling. You feel like a welcome guest from the moment you walk in. Of course, the coffee and tea are essential as well, and they do not disappoint. I was delighted to be offered a choice of 3 coffees, freshly prepared when ordered. The menu varies from day to day, but on the day I visited, all 3 sounded interesting. I chose an Ethiopian blend and it did not disappoint. My wife ordered an English breakfast tea, and requested it to be brewed strong, and it came out perfect. Worth noting that it is brewed from loose leaf tea, and they really know both coffee and tea. I'm so glad I returned, as it is head and shoulders above anything else in town. Sadly, the "name" coffee places in Folsom have a become fast-food type experience, even while their coffee is adequate. In Kingdom Roasters, we've found a place we will look forward to visiting, not just a place to grab a cup of coffee in a paper cup! EDIT: In my original review I decried the lack of WiFi. As indicated in the merchant response, there is evidently WiFi, you just have to ask for the password, which is perfectly reasonable. read more
