Food is so good and Sunday with their burrito it's hard to get a table! A couple of Sundays had to order take out

Food was good. I would go again. However it's small. Go early for a table. They are usually pretty busy so be prepared for that.

I had my go to, beef dip. It was half chopped up beef and a whole lot of bun. I like pickles on mine, and was charged $1 for 4 pickles slices. (And wasn't told that). I hate hidden fees. Hubby had the breakfast special, not so special. We sat next to a couple windows, and flies were all over them and us. Now on the positive, the employees were very friendly. Service was fast. And then we were just left alone. Won't be back, sorry to say. read more

5errible service yesterday. We have been so many times but this particular day we walked in, were seated, brought drinks and forgotten. The waitress served others that came in after us and then went to go stock sugar packets. We sat. Waited. Left 5 dollars on the table after half an hour and then left. Went in with my wife. Told to sit anywhere so we did. We were given drinks, a did and tea and then completely and totally forgotten that we existed. We watched the other come out and she and the waitress opened their package. We then watched the waitress take an order from someone who can in at least 10 mins after we did. We used to like the simplicity of the place but never ever. I wanted $5 on the drinks. We just the let the 5 and walked out. Right on front of the waitress. She never even saw us. Awful service. What a change! This place has been a staple in our area for quite a while. The food and service have transformed for the better. I entered with my 90 yr old friend who has been eating here for 60 yrs. I was wearing a dodge Mopar tee shirt. This lady said I like your shirt. I said, thanks. Then I said, I should of wore my Trump 2024 hat.. The waitress said we don't mention that name in here. Period. I wasn't trying to cause any problems just said I should of woren my Trump hat. We came here after some doctor appointments in town. Small portions, menu description not accurate, most of the food looked like it was from a Can or freezer. I ordered the chef salad with chicken tenders. It was a snap soup bowl with lettuce, a few chopped tomatoes, some shredded cheddar cheese and cut up chicken tender. My husbands bowl of "beans" was a small bowl with just chili flavored pintos that wasn't even full, no broth/juices with over cooked cornbread, no butter. I could go on but I've said enough. Delicious! We stoped here on our way back from laughlin. It's a couple miles off the freeway. Totally worth it!!! We will probably stop here on the the way back from our Vegas trips in the future. Corn beef hash and chorizo omelette both were very tasty . read more

First time. Bought fish and chips to go. Horrible. Warm cole slaw under the paper, in the corner of the to-go container, 2 very small mushy pieces of fish (they said was Cod, but can't be sure), 2 over cooked hard hush puppies and some okay french fries. Checked it out, ordered the taco plate. I've had better at home, taco shell oily, So stiff it split asunder when I tried to eat it, had to request salsa. The man behind me was asked how his tuna melt was he replied that there wasn't enough tuna in it. Certainly won't go again. Every day at Rainbow is a special day, but if you are in the Kingman area before 2 pm on Sundays, you have to come try the Mexican food. I ordered the chile relleno with beans. First they brought us the salsa and chips. The salsa is homemade and tasty, all though I would have liked a little more heat. The chili relleno was wonderful. The beans... yummy. Howard had the chili Verde chimichanga. It was delicious. Howard had the rice and he loved it. We come here often for breakfast and I love their chili. They are open for breakfast and lunch only. Great mom and pop diner with homes town feel. We had the fish and chips w/slaw (the slaw was unique-sweet with apples), and the Santa Fe- roast beef, Swiss, and green chili on toasted white bread. Both were delicious. It's definitely worth the trip up to Northern Avenue. read more

A nice medium sized diner. I came in alone for breakfast, there was a bar but I chose to sit at a table. The place was about half full, with what seemed to be locals. I had the chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns, and toast. Everything came out pretty quick, the food was good. I felt the country gravy didn't quite have enough flavor, but that's just a preference thing. The service was excellent, there were only 2 servers, but they handled everything very well. My server was very pleasant. Just be aware that this is Kingman, if you don't look like a local you may get stared at. I was certainly stared at when I walked in, but ignorance like that doesn't deter me as it may have in the past. This is not the fault of the diner, they were excellent. read more

Ok, so this place isn't the most exciting, glamorous, tasty, or gotta die for food, however.... It IS worth going. Our service was top notch. Piping hot coffee, quick refills, genuinely friendly sever. Quick but not too pushy quick. The ambiance, well the decor isn't my style, but it's not distracting or annoying. It's a casual little dinner and I really don't care about how the walls are decorated. Food. First off, the process are great. A lot of times two eggs, hashbrowns, and toast are 9 bucks. Not here. It's half. I had the chicken fried steak special for 8.40 (I think... Give or take a few cents) food came out HOT...in fact I can't even recall the last time I had to blow on my restaurant food before eating it. It was awesome. The food itself was good. Been there 5 times, always for lunch, always on Friday, always fish and chips. Simply plated. 2 to 3 large pieces of fish, fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce and a hush puppy. AMAZING! Crisp breading, tender flaky fish (cod I think). The crust is so good, you eat the pieces that drop off. The coleslaw has julienned apple and tasted too sweet, lacking acidity. But I was wrong! With the fish and malt vinegar, the slaw perfectly compliments. The tartar sauce really is more mayo than tartar, very plain. The staff is friendly, treats you like family. Before I looked at the menu, the waitress asked for our drinks. Lemonade is typically my go to drink. She shook her head no. It's not on the menu. Then she said "let me make you some fresh lemonade. I make good lemonade." And yes it was. Love the customized service. Made me feel special. read more
