Unfortunately, this comes shortly after another negative experience I had at this same location, and it seems like nothing is improving. Management responded to my previous review asking me to reach out by email, so I did. I never even received the courtesy of a response. If you're going to publicly ask an unhappy customer to contact you, the least you can do is acknowledge their message. Between the service issues, turning away business, and the lack of follow-up from management, I honestly don't understand how a business can seem so uninterested in doing business. I stopped here the morning of November 3rd on my way from Las Vegas to Oklahoma. Parking lot is big with plenty of spots. I ate at the counter and service was very good. I did the Build Your Own Breakfast - Ham , Scrambled Eggs , Grits , Wheat Toast , and Coffee. Everything was really good. I've eaten a few times at Black Bear Diner in Las Vegas and years ago it was not good , but this past year I went back a couple times for breakfast and once for lunch and it was so much better. The ladies here kept my coffee filled and hot and were very nice. This location is pretty big too , so if you have a large family or if you see a lot of cars in the parking lot , I wouldn't worry , they have a lot of tables and dining areas. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're driving through Kingman. read more

It's a little strange but I always come here the week or day of my birthday. Today we decided to get our usual lunch. I ordered online. That was easy and smooth. I was greeted with friendly faces and the service was excellent. I got out to my truck and we started eating. I ordered two open face turkey sandwiches, a carrot cake and coconut cream pie. The open face sandwiches were just warm. The potatoes tasted great but again warm not hot. Both plates didn't really have a lot of gravy. . The coconut cream pie was yellow and super thick. Rare is it to find a great waitress & delicious food in adult size portions at the same place creating an excellent dining experience. You should ask for Majel as your server. She does her job & does it well. I enjoyed the pot roast dinner prepared to perfection. My compliments to the chef. Tonight's meal & my waitress Majel brought me back to the days when people took pride in their jobs. Came back again because my inner bear had to be satisfied. Got the BLT and sweet potato fries. The BLT was super juicy and fresh, along with the crispy sweet potato fries. Service was excellent. Even Ordering in advance doesn't work as we were told we couldn't eat our take out order in the dining room. What?? The price is the same what difference could it possibly make to them? Feb.15, 2026 is when we were there at 10:15 on a Sunday morning. We waited almost 10 minutes for the hostess to take our name. We were told 10-15 minutes, but it ended up being 25. Off to a not-so-good start but we love their food and seldom get to a BBD as we don't have one near to where we live. So once seated, we were given menus and water right away. The waitress took our order in a fair amount of time. And then we waited. And waited... after about 20 minutes, our waitress stopped by to say our food would be right up! We watched another couple get their food at that time. They had come in the front door a good 15 minutes after we had, and were now seated and getting their food! We certainly should have had ours a long time ago. We waited some more. That couple finished eating and got up to leave. At that point I told my husband, that's it, we should leave! From when we came in the door, it had now been an hour and ten minutes! We did not have any food and as we left our poor waitress was serving as Hostess at the front podium. They didn't have a designated Hostess, nor any bus-boys to clear tables. The waitresses were doing all of it. Shame on the manager. Even if someone called in sick, this did not work. We felt bad leaving, but to be ready to spend about $45 for breakfast for two, we expected better than this! We won't be back. read more

I have started to see Black Bear Diner sprout up around Arizona and have been curious to try one out. On a recent road trip, we decided this would be a needed stop over and somewhere to get a bite to eat. We waited just over 5 mins to be seated, the restaurant was nearly empty. There were a couple of waitresses on the floor wandering around, not acknowledging us in any way. We nearly gave up and then finally a lady named Kalani (I believe) asked us "how many?" There was no acknowledgement that we'd be standing there, no attempt to be personable in any manner. We said "two", and she lead us to a table. We asked if we could have a booth, she turned and said "they're not in rotation, you're going to have to wait awhile until I get a chance to clean it if you want a booth". Wow.. guess I asked for too much. I responded that we would be leaving and aren't really interested in dining there after all. She huffed and stomped off. I am a strong believer in not ignoring warning signs. Clearly if seating us in a booth was too much effort, I was pretty certain this was going to be a strained effort to get some food on the table and a check. I'm not sure if all locations are like this, if this is the norm for this one, or if the staff were having an off day.
