When I come from California to visit my family, this is a very popular place to go eat. Everyone, from senior to child, can find things that please their palate. Sometimes, it is necessary to get food quickly, when cranky children need to eat. Plenty of cooked food, vegetables, fruit, drinks (cold and hot), and desserts are to be had, quickly. They will even grill up food you select. My favorite dessert is their squares of apple pie, topped with a scoop of ice cream. Vanilla has not always been available, although that is what I prefer. They give a military discount for dinner, as well as (all meal times) senior rate, and discount for children. It is reasonably priced for ALL YOU CAN EAT. King's Wok Buffet. I used to go there a lot, hen gas prices were below $2 a gallon. I miss going there. I've never had a problem with Buffets. As long as you understand how they operate. They keep cooking fresh food for the buffet, clear till close to closing time. Then, they collect all the remaining food and place in a walk-in refrigerator for the next business day. Before they open, all the food from the night before goes into a steam-oven to reheat, and goes back on the buffet. So, if you can hold-off for about an hour to an hour and a half. Letting everyone ahead of you go through the food from the previous day. You should get fresh cooked food. I used to work at a casino with a buffet and this was "Standard Operating Procedure." I also used to go to a Chinese food buffet, and would arrive before they opened for business, this was when they still allowed in door smoking. I would try to get in and out before anyone would light-up. Going one and a half hours after they opened, I noticed the food was better. read more

It's unbelievable how this restaurant passed the local health department's food inspection service. Piles of dirty empty boxes and restaurant supply stuff cluttered in the adjacent room behind the soda fountain. The restrooms are pretty horrible. The quality of food is terrible. They seated you on a freshly wet table you and have to asked the hostess to have the table wiped dry. On top of all this the staff/owner keeps hovering at all the diners its like every 5 mins they walked to your table they're not even asking if you need anything or how's your food No. They stare at everyone of you at the table for about 10 seconds then moved on to the next table. It smells of dead and tastes like garbage. I mean really, I went back a few years later and I wish I hadn't. The server took our drinks and cleaned our table when we went for seconds to try something different. Weird! The sushi was very chewy and unpalatable. My in-laws seem to enjoy this place, and out of courtesy for them I grin and bear it when we go. I think this place has been given such high ratings because simply there isn't the best selection of genuinely good Chinese food around here. The only thing I found decent here was their bacon wraps- and I'm not a bacon eater which should say something. Pros: They made the food fresh when it was really busy It's a buffet, so really you eat what you pay for, but if you're looking for taste, please go elsewhere. King's Wok is an interesting place in that when you go you're never sure which of the two sides of this restaurant you are going to get. The first side is a good selection of chinese food. Granted, it's a buffet so the quality isn't the same as a sit down restaurant, but it's still good food. I love their Mongolian Beef, and though i'm not a fan of it, they typically have a good selection of sea food, including a huge tray of crab legs that people seem to frequent a lot. The other side however, is piles and piles of old dried out chinese food that you don't want to eat, but feel inclined to due to the 12 bucks you just paid to get in. All of the dishes you want to eat either are empty trays or look like they've been sitting there for hours, and each bite you take is sort of a double bladed sword. The unfortunate part about King's Wok is quite often you get the second side, but when it's good, it really is great. I would suggest picking a time when it's busy. You may have a hard time finding a seat, and there are small traffic jams in the food area, but the more people there are the better chance the guy on the other side of the place will eat the last few disgusting bites of the peppered shrimp so they'll bring out a fresh tray. Regardless, there must be something appealing about this place because I find myself going here more often than I probably even like. I would recommend it for somebody who likes Chinese food enough to every once in a while take one for the team.....Just know, this is the kind of place where no matter what you're leaving with a stomach ache. read more

Been a customer for years with no complaints, until tonight.... 1. While eating a pot sticker, there were fine bits of glass in the pot sticker, I thought I chipped a tooth, until i examined it. Showed an employee, and it sort of got blown off... 2. Got some slushie in a coffee cup, didn't want a tall glass of it, You know how some coffee cups have an edge on the inside for stacking? I thought mine did until the spoon slid behind it, it was a plastic sauce cup that went thought the wash cycle in the cup. After I discovered that, I refrained from looking in the cup, as I would probably throw up... 3. My son said the chocolate chip cookies had not flavor, and tried pawning them off to me and his sister.. 4. My daughter said the Peaches had no flavor, along with "How does that happen?" Now granted, if it's coming off the grill, it's actually good. And all the past experiences since they originally opened up years ago have been good, maybe a fluke, or a staff issue...but I don't plan on going back. My bf used to be in the navy and lived in Silverdale, so when we did long distance I used to visit him there and stayed for days or weeks at a time. As an Asian girl who grew up in a very Asian community, these stays in Silverdale were annoying when it comes to food. AN-NOY-ING. Asian food seems to be slim pickins in this area. But King's Wok made it less annoying. I liked it. The food is decent and there is never a wait. They have your typical Asian food like hot and sour soup, steamed/fried dumplings, fried shrimps, fish, orange chicken, bbq beef ribs, and more. Some things are better than others. I wouldn't touch the sushi bar though, cos I'm a food snob and just.... I'm from LA. It's honestly a very refreshing change from eating at fast food restaurants or Silver City Brewery all the time (even though I liked Silver City). There's no strong reason to go here anymore, they no longer serve crab legs AT ALL. 90% of the reason we went here in the first place. We went there on Monday and they have a sign on their door saying they no longer serve crab legs for dinner. Signs were also inside. My family enjoys this place, my brother loves chinese buffett. My dad is all for anywhere that has all you can eat, but he particularly likes the seafood days, although I think he said he would prefer snow crab or something. Prices are reasonable for an all you can eat place, about 13$, plus they have a senior discount. Service is good. I enjoy that drinks are included in the price. Not a lot of food that I enjoy here, but I'm a picky eater. The food that I did try was mediocre. I wouldn't come here on my own as I prefer chinese buffets with mongolian grill options. As a former resident of B-Town, I used to come here often with my family. This place is much better than Super Buffet in Northgate...and a little cheaper, too. As others have noted, don't expect anything too memorable except for the minor disgust you feel from the thoughts of how much oil you may have consumed from most of their deep-fried dishes. To be honest, most of their breaded shrimp is not bad with the tar tar sauce. If you like salty-flavored hot snow crab legs, this is where it's at. Their fried chicken wings are pretty good with the sweet and sour sauce, too. I am also a sesame ball lover with the red bean fillings, but I was quite sad over the ones they served here. Honestly, this is the worst buffet I've been to! I will give it 1 star, just because. My kids and I went for lunch. It cost us $29.00; one adult and two toddlers. I thought that was a little outrageous, but I went with it only because my kids were hungry and we needed a hot quick meal. We had to pay upfront, before seating. Since it was my first time dining in, I decided to go ahead and tip while I paid, before we ate. BAD CHOICE! There is no service! Everything is self-serve. They don't even get the drinks for you! Let alone, they don't seat you, either. Technically, I tipped for nothing! I completely regret it! The tables and chairs were dated and scattered around the front dining area like something you would find in a food court. There was no isle and space to walk through the tables. The tables were set so close to the other, I felt like I was walking through a maze, constantly bumping into people's back while they were eating. How annoying! The booth chairs (where we sat) were worn out, and it just felt dirty. Basically, it felt disgusting sitting in our booth. The restaurant lighting was also so dim where we sat, I could feel a migraine starting. The food could have been better. The dumplings; I don't know what they put in it, but it made me gag. I've had much BETTER. The attendants did not keep the buffet counters clean. There was food scattered on the buffet counters. The serving spoons felt dirty.
