I was there two days after the tornado hit the community. They were one of few restaurants open. The had electricity in the back kitchen and three servers for the entire restaurant. The food here was very nasty. No flavor or seasoning, just nasty food slopped out on your plate. I had the veggie skillet... no seasoning on the veggies and the potatoes were undercooked. I upgraded my pancakes to the cinnamon roll pancakes....they just threw powdered sugar on top of the regular pancakes for a 3.99 up charge. The tuna patty melt was nasty af, as well. Watered down tuna on a thin slices of bread. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant 0/10 for anyone who like flavored food. Oh, wow where do I start. I first became a customer when they were in Tinley Park, Food was so good. Visited there a few times never disappointed. Now I said Well haven't been here since they moved to Flossmoor. Let's give it a try. The food does not taste like it did before. The waitress was nice though only great thing. Yet the food was not so good. Don't know what happen. Maybe new cook or something. Either way, food was not like it was before. My Guy was not happy with the pancakes or his omelet. I visited Kingsberry Waffle House on April 17, 2024 for a solo date. I had the Double Chicago breakfast which included 2 pancakes, 2 eggs with cheese, 2 sausages and 2 slices of bacon with coffee. The pancakes were not as fluffy as I like, but everything else was on point. I love the service at this restaurant. The ambience is okay, but it feels like a nice mom and pop spot that you go to for a homey type vibe. I love that they offer hazelnut coffee creamer, it's my favorite! read more

Meh. Below average breakfast spot. I stopped in with my mom and sister one morning when we happened to be in the area. The restaurant wasn't crowded so we were seated immediately. I don't recall the name of our waitress, but she was friendly and very attentive. She was a younger heavyset youngly lady with tattoos on her arms. I opted for the eggs, hash browns, bacon and pancakes. The food was okay. The eggs were nasty and the pancakes weren't that good, but everything was okay. I liked the bacon the most. They were out of grapefruit juice so I opted for the orange juice which was okay. My sister had the eggs, corned beef hash, toast and bacon. She liked her food. My mom opted for the cinnamon french toast, eggs and sausage. She liked her food as well. My mom and sister had been to the restaurant and thought the food was decent enough to return. I'm not so sure because I wasn't impressed at all. I left wishing that we'd gone elsewhere. The bill was $44 for the three of us which wasn't good bad. We tipped the waitress $10 since she was so attentive and nice. I doubt I'll chose to visit Kingsberry again anytime soon though. read more

Saturday March 1, 2025 I was meeting several friends for a birthday breakfast. I arrived to early to get a table standing in front of the cashier stand to be seated. I was standing around several minutes with no one acknowledging me and then three people came in and they were greeted right away and seated. I was really up set and mention it to one of the greeter who was a younger man my anger of the three people of another race than me ( they were white and I'm black) he responded "I'm not entertaining that" and he walked off. Of course I left and our party went to another food service place where we were treated with dignity and respect. The tables are stocked with butter and creams, ready for a demanding breakfast crowd, but no crowd ever comes. Instead, a slow trickle of regulars begin to populate the spacious dining room. Most of the staff here is very polite and helpful. I get my food quickly and warm. Today, I am done because the guy at the front counter is rude. I went to pay for my call in order and he asked as he often does whether or not I have cash. I didn't and I said so. I usually say no. His response to me was "You need to tell your husband to give you money." So now he is in my home and my bank account? As long as I have a method of payment that you accept, it is my decision how I pay.
