The food was decent the service was great BUT WHEN THE BILL CAME I WAS SHOCKED. 2 breakfast entrees, 3 sides , and 4 drinks came to $70 for BREAKFAST. The glass of milk was almost $6 alone just crazy. I can actually see why this place is rated bad. encountered an older gentleman who I think is the owner? Simply walked up for an application for me and a friend to bring back the next day and he was nothing but rude to me. If you're not hiring just say that. especially after I called and was told to just come up and grab an application. simply was a waste of my time. read more

Nice place for breakfast. I ordered the waffle delight( two mini waffles topped with eggs and sausage.) The place was very Clean and homey feeling. Nice seating area. Very spacing. The service was great. Even the bathroom was CLEANN and comfy. Jamiyah was my server and she was in training and did a swell job! Very sweet attentive and took directions well from trainer Kimmy. This place wasn't bad. My husband loves pancakes so any chance to try a breakfast spot, he's all for it. Service is fine; waitress was attentive. Food was ok. Bathroom was one of the prettiest! I think the food could be better, don't just slap a slice of cheese on top of a skillet and think that's good enough. Even the omelette, you tell it's just sliced cheese folded and put in the omelette. They used to be really good but have sadly fallen off. Not worth the price that they are charging. read more

Oh, wow where do I start. I first became a customer when they were in Tinley Park, Food was so good. Visited there a few times never disappointed. Now I said Well haven't been here since they moved to Flossmoor. Let's give it a try. The food does not taste like it did before. The waitress was nice though only great thing. Yet the food was not so good. Don't know what happen. Maybe new cook or something. Either way, food was not like it was before. My Guy was not happy with the pancakes or his omelet. The hash browns were over cooked. I miss that Tinley Park flavor. It definitely wasn't the same. Won't be going back no time soon... DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! read more

I visited Kingsberry Waffle House on April 17, 2024 for a solo date. I had the Double Chicago breakfast which included 2 pancakes, 2 eggs with cheese, 2 sausages and 2 slices of bacon with coffee. The pancakes were not as fluffy as I like, but everything else was on point. I love the service at this restaurant. The ambience is okay, but it feels like a nice mom and pop spot that you go to for a homey type vibe. I love that they offer hazelnut coffee creamer, it's my favorite! read more

Meh. Below average breakfast spot. I stopped in with my mom and sister one morning when we happened to be in the area. The restaurant wasn't crowded so we were seated immediately. I don't recall the name of our waitress, but she was friendly and very attentive. She was a younger heavyset youngly lady with tattoos on her arms. I opted for the eggs, hash browns, bacon and pancakes. The food was okay. The eggs were nasty and the pancakes weren't that good, but everything was okay. I liked the bacon the most. They were out of grapefruit juice so I opted for the orange juice which was okay. My sister had the eggs, corned beef hash, toast and bacon. She liked her food. My mom opted for the cinnamon french toast, eggs and sausage. She liked her food as well. My mom and sister had been to the restaurant and thought the food was decent enough to return. I'm not so sure because I wasn't impressed at all. I left wishing that we'd gone elsewhere. The bill was $44 for the three of us which wasn't good bad. We tipped the waitress $10 since she was so attentive and nice. I doubt I'll chose to visit Kingsberry again anytime soon though. read more

Saturday March 1, 2025 I was meeting several friends for a birthday breakfast. I arrived to early to get a table standing in front of the cashier stand to be seated. I was standing around several minutes with no one acknowledging me and then three people came in and they were greeted right away and seated. I was really up set and mention it to one of the greeter who was a younger man my anger of the three people of another race than me ( they were white and I'm black) he responded "I'm not entertaining that" and he walked off. Of course I left and our party went to another food service place where we were treated with dignity and respect. Kingberry waffle house in Olympia has shown bias to the people that keep them in buisness Blacks. read more

Nice owners. Friendly wait staff. Good food. Great place to go with kids - music low - so you can have a conversation. Don't like the price increases or the only one free refill. In this economy everyone is being raked over the coals- so I just stick with water. read more

Food is OK. The last time I went there, they completely ignored me. Apparently, they have so many customers, they can't be bothered to greet people coming in. It was a very disheartening experience. I even asked a bus person if there was a host or someone available to seat me. The people working the counter just continued ignoring me. I've NEVER seen a restaurant, no matter how busy, ignore people coming through the door. I won't be going back. read more

I come here once a week for breakfast . The front end / cashier guy is a cool old school type of person . Two of the waitresses seem to have been working there a while and they are excellent at there job . I have had really bad prepared food twice out of many good orders . I can always count on Kingsberry to take good care of me in the early morning. The host allows me to seat myself in the large dining room and the waitress greets me with coffee. The tables are stocked with butter and creams, ready for a demanding breakfast crowd, but no crowd ever comes. Instead, a slow trickle of regulars begin to populate the spacious dining room. It's strange that this place doesn't ever seem busy. The food is good and portions generous. I ordered 3 eggs scrambled soft and the waitress brought me a plate full of fluffy, creamy, golden eggs. There must have been at least 5 eggs on that plate! I couldn't finish. Thank you for the morning hospitality, Kingsberry. It was very comforting. read more

Most of the staff here is very polite and helpful. I get my food quickly and warm. Today, I am done because the guy at the front counter is rude. I went to pay for my call in order and he asked as he often does whether or not I have cash. I didn't and I said so. I usually say no. His response to me was "You need to tell your husband to give you money." So now he is in my home and my bank account? As long as I have a method of payment that you accept, it is my decision how I pay. He has always skirted the line with his comments but today was the last straw and they have lost a customer who has come to them for years. read more

I wish I would have checked the reviews before dining here. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss omelette with hash browns and an English muffin. My food came out very quickly, which was a bad sign imo. The cheese in my omelette was congealed, as if it had been sitting for quite some time. Not only that, there was bits of American cheese mixed in as well. Just giant, plastic globs of congealed cheese throughout the omelette. I mentioned it my server when she checked in on me and she didn't see any issue. She made it seem like I was lucky because I had gotten so much inedible cheese in my omelette. Her solution was to offer me more cheese on top. No thanks. The hash brows were fine. The cane the check. I was charged extra for cheese, which is expected, but I was also charged $1.99 for the English muffin. No where on the menu did it say there was an upcharge for English muffins nor did my server say anything. I've never been charged extra for an English muffin and if I have, it's been clearly stated on the menu. So I spent $20 on a barely edible breakfast and didn't even have a beverage. I wish I would have went to Batter and Berries across the street or the nearby Blueberry Hill. Lesson learned and I will never go back to Kingsbury Waffle House again. read more

Went today first time here and the heat was not working well. waitress apologized and stated it was being rectified. she gave us coffee which helped but it is -9 degrees today and it was not a good experience there, food came out quickly but also got cold quickly so we got it to go. after asking for the manager we were told by manager April, we should've left and she first acted like the heat was fine until we told her the waitress already told us there was an issue. only then did she give us a $5 could for next visit. really?? unreal. that's how you accommodate people? That's not how oh get return customers. read more

Order to go and had burned diced potatoes so bad some were unchewable. Raw hash browns if I put the rawest in a blender it would make mashed potatoes. One of the meals was the 3meat skillet it looked like 1 sausage link was chopped up 1 piece of bacon and no ham. read more

Instead I settled for their veggie skillet, and it was bland. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to make it taste better. In my opinion The pancakes were better than the veggie skillet. The only thing I didn't like about the pancakes were, they wasn't easy to cut through. They had a little chewy crust texture on the outside of the pancakes. But overall the staff were nice and they have reasonable prices. But it's other breakfast spots that's better you can choose from. Sorry but I don't recommend this place and I won't be back.

Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us!
