Chicken jalepeno spicy ramen
Long N.

Great taste. Hard to find parking, but deep in downtown area. Easy to walk to once you find parking. Good friendly staff. Clean venue. Dark decor good for large and small groups and dates. Interesting choice in flavors. Can mix and match how you want, meats, soup base, etc. overall enjoyable and hope to make it back to try more options and combos. Happy eating!

Tasty but snack sized ramen place on Lonsdale near 13th, right around the corner from City Hall. Parking is available on the side streets. Time is limited though. The place looks pretty modern. Lots of dark wood trim. Staff are friendly. No complaints. As with many Japanese ramen places, the bowls are a bit on the small side. So I ordered 2 bowls. The bowls they use vary based on the animal being eaten, which I found amusing. For example, there are different looking bowls for pork, chicken, and beef. Pork original - nice and tasty. Meat was nice and moist. Soup was delicious. Served with a sheet of seaweed, some bamboo, soft boiled egg (2 halves), wood ear, and green onions. For this bowl I had the thin noodles. To be honest they were a bit disappointing. Reminded me of pho. The noodles were white. I think they're made of rice. Something to keep in mind. Beef shoyu - beef slices were a bit dry, which was disappointing. Not sure if this was because it sat too long while I ate the pork bowl. The bowl is physically larger than the pork bowl, but I am not sure if the volume of food is the same. Fixings are identical to that of the pork ramen, minus the egg. I must say I enjoyed the thick noodles much more. I think these ones are made of wheat. My friends had the chicken ramen (they also tried 2 bowls each), and both mentioned the chicken was not very good at all. Having tried both, If I were to go back again, I would do the original pork bowl with thick noodles. Not a bad place to try, though there are also other ramen places in the area.

Ordered takeout from Kinton Ramen and was seriously impressed. I got the beef ramen with tofu--a combo I wasn't sure about at first, but it turned out to be a perfect pairing. The broth was rich, flavorful, and had that slow-cooked depth you can only get from a place that knows ramen. The beef was tender and well-seasoned, and the tofu added a soft, silky texture that balanced it out beautifully. Noodles had just the right amount of chew, and everything was packed up thoughtfully so it stayed fresh and didn't get soggy on the way home. The mood was just right, mellow & calm and the ambiance was just right for a ramen spot. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Whether you're a ramen purist or like to mix it up a little (like beef and tofu), this spot delivers. Can't wait to order again--or better yet, sit down and enjoy it fresh in the restaurant next time.

This dish tasted incredible and the ambience was amazing. The service was also very top notch!

Was in North Vancouver on Lonsdale Ave looking for lunch... there were 4 of us & decided to take the meal for 4. It does give you your choice of ramen plus 2 appys & glass of pop. Service was good, so was the ramen. The layout of the restaurant was nice & clean. It was my first time trying Kinton ramen & I was not disappointed. Apparently they have different locations too.

We were pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the ramen. I am not a fan of ramen but it went above my expectation. The Burnt Shoyu Pork was flavourful, the noodles were perfectly done and no alkaline taste. Their ramen are generously portioned for its price. The North Vancouver location is fairly new, the restaurant is well designed and spacious. We will be back soon.

Ok so I honestly am hesitant about writing a review but only because I don't want this place to get crowded! Great service, spacious inside. Came just before noon on Tuesday and there was plenty space but it filled up. The food comes QUICK! I love that the ramen bowls come with an egg. Wish they came with mushrooms or other veggie stuff though. The egg is decent. Almost melty. Thick noodles are nice and chewy. Very good texture. The broth - really really good. The meat - comes with two diff kinds. I like the fatty one better. All in all would def come back. It's a gem. But please don't crowd up my new fav ramen place. :)

Super easy going atmosphere with fast service. Although not extensive, the menu consists of truly great ramen options for all. Although I feel like portions have gotten smaller in the past few months, you can always count on rich broth and tender meats. I always go for the thick noodles!

I would come back to Canada just for this ramen at this location! I am from California and being to many states in the US where I always look for ramen spots. This is by far the best ramen I have eaten. I highly recommend it! The service was magnificent and prices are great! The place looks amazing.

Pork shoyu with thick noodles

Today was opening day and to celebrate, their ramen bowls were half off! The resto did their best to streamline the process and took patron's orders while they lined up outside. And after a relatively short wait (half an hour), and pleasant greetings from the staff, I was seated at the bar. And I noticed immediatelyhow un-chaotic it was inside, lending a nice ambiance to the experience. My dishes were whipped up and delivered quickly, with the ramen coming in closely after the gyoza. I honestly really enjoyed the gyoza, crispy with a lovely spiced mayo. The ramen was also delicious. The thick noodles definitely had some buoyancy to them, and held up during chewing. And I really enjoyed the shoyu flavours and the pork slices. All in all, great experience. Fast, efficient, friendly service.

Awesome Ramen, it's really good especially the burnt pork, and the spicy beef. The eggs are fantastic. Thick noodles are where it's at.

Your preference will depend upon subtleties about noodle thickness and texture and broth flavors, but there is always, always a line in front of Ramen Danbo. A lot of it is probably due to hype or fame, but I have to admit that I think it does edge out the others in several ways. I think the noodles themself are more flavorful and more delicate. And I have to say the pork was extremely tender and flavorful. The egg was perfectly prepared, and the broth was perfectly seasoned to my desired spiciness level. They also do a great job searing their gyozas. Because of its overwhelming popularity, they have perfected the ordering process so that you can fill out a form while you're in line, which greatly reduces your wait time. It's easy to get in and out of here in 30 min, and I'm sure that is their goal. As a result, the dining experience might not exactly be relaxing, but if your focus is on the best quality bowl of noodles that you can get, I think it is worth the wait.

I got an original ramen bowl, light on the lard, extra on the "spicy umami" and extra on the chili powder, regular thin noodles. Bowl comes with 2 pork slices. I was there just barely before 5pm so I could get the lunch combo special, add a few dollars and get a few choices of add-ons. i picked the half order of gyoza and 2 half-order of ramen toppings for $5. Ramen bowl itself was I believe $13 or so. The ramen is fine. Broth was good but could use a bit more. I like spicy food and ramen, rather, japanese food in general, is not very spicy. The extra spice level options do add a nice hum to it. Noodles were cooked properly with nice texture. The bowl is a bit small, more of a lunch portion especially if you dont get any extra add-ons or sides. For the price, its on the expensive side in terms of value. Gyoza were good. plump, juicy pork filling, crispy on one side. Service was efficient and friendly. This is the kind of place you stop by for a quick bite and leave, which is totally fine by me. Its a ramen shop after all. For ramen, I would come back.

Stopped by Maruhachi on a Saturday lunchtime after our long commute from Seattle. this restaurant…read moreis tucked in a corner not too far from the main Robson street. Paid parking was not too hard to find on the Main Street but during busy dining hours it might be difficult. We got seated right away at the bar since there were no tables open and the service was quick. Traditional Japanese style ambiance and even the bathroom had rounded Japanese bowl sink. As someone who doesn't have chicken broth (paitan style) ramen, I was really looking forward to the original ramen I ordered but I was a bit disappointed in the flavor profile of the dish. The ramen had both chasu and seaweed paired with thin round noodles. The broth was creamy and had a hint of chicken flavor but even adding several rounds of their soy sauce/salt seasoning they have on the side to adjust your broth to your liking-- I found that the richness of the soup was not what I had expected from the reviews that I read prior to coming here. Overall, a bit disappointed in the flavoring of the broth but maybe we came on an off day. I would be willing to give it a shot again in the future if I had ramen cravings and given that it was very affordable ($11-15 per bowl with tip), but I would probably opt to try another place first.

Review #3 for 2026 I…read morereally wanted to like this place. I watched many videos and read reviews before coming here, but it just did not hit the spot. After a cold day of exploring Stanley Park, we felt that ramen would really hit the spot, so we went here not wanting to deal with a wait at Danbo with a hungry and tired toddler. There was NO wait when we arrived here and we were seated immediately... which for a place that was really hyped up, should had made us think twice. There was only 1 other party at the restaurant. Now, the workers were super nice and the food came out quickly and we did eat everything because we were starving. We all ordered the cha-shu tamago ramen, 2 of us got spicy and 2 of us non-spicy. It came with extra chashu and the soft boiled egg for about $20 Canadian. The bowl was a good size and there was a promo for free extra noodles while we were there. Everyone except me in our group took advantage of it because I was too full from my bowl. Now, the broth here is different from other places because it is chicken based and not pork based. Everything I had seen about this place promised the broth is every bit just as good as the pork bone broth... however, the broth we received looked flavorful, but was bland. It was completely bland. There was no richness to it, not even a hint. I don't know, coming from southern California, the flavor just was not there period. We did all eat our food because we were starving, but it for sure did not hit the spot at all. Maybe we got an off day? Otherwise our broth had literally zero flavor to it. We all wished we had tried the other ramen place instead right after trying our ramen. Would I come back? I will have to say definitely no. We do not live in Vancouver and I do not want to waste any meals on a place that did not taste good the first time we went.
