Sweet and sour chicken with white rice
    Mildred R.

After a long day and still having to stop by the grocery store, ordering teriyaki to go for dinner was a must. Despite the reviews I read I decided to stop by and give this place a try since it was by Fred Myers. We ordered two chicken teriyaki's and two sweet and sour chicken, one with fried rice (my favorite). The young man at the counter was friendly. The place seemed a bit cramped but clean. The chicken teriyaki was okay, it was cooked well and well portioned but the sauce lacked a bit of flavor. The sweet and sour chicken wasn't too great. The chicken seemed to be dry and had a pepper flavor. It wasn't really breaded at all. The sauce was not good at all. Unfortunately it was very sour and unpleasant to eat. I was glad I didn't add it all to my plate. The side sauce that was provided with our meals wasn't good either. It left a bad after taste. We were given a to go box with salad for our meals but the lettuce was a bit more brown and the dressing was not good at all either. The fried rice was okay. We love Asian food and this was the first time we couldn't eat most of it. Was pretty disappointing.

I've been here a number of times. My go to is the spicy chicken teriyaki. It's just the right amount of spice and comes with extra teriyaki sauce if you feel you need more. It comes with rice and a salad. It's a delicious meal and definitely enough to fill you up!

Kinza Teriyaki exceeded expectations for a strip mall teriyaki place. Food was very good, take out service was very friendly and efficient, the pricing was reasonable. Clamshell containers were filled to capacity without spilling. General Tao Chicken was just spicy enough and House Fried Rice was at least as good as you'd expect from a nice teppanyaki restaurant.

This place is just awful. It smells delicious when you walk up and it is cleaner then some teriyaki shops I have been in. But, that's where the good stuff ends. The waitress was rude and for over 35 bucks she could have at least been polite. She also could not print a receipt without throwing a tantrum and getting the cook to come out and do it (our order was to go). The food was very bland, greasy, also they put my salad dressing container on my rice so it was nice and hot on my warm dressing. Another review said the teriyaki sauce was superb but I had better from a jar. But the real reason for the one star? They put my food box upside down and shoved paper towels inside of it. Who does this and why? My sauce ran out the box and into the bag. My boyfriend said his food was cappy too. There are tons of teriyaki places in the area. Any where has to be better then here!

HOWEVER, my wife has a shellfish allergy and the waitress forgot to ask if anyone at the table had allergies as did the chef, to be fair to them this is the first time that has happened to me there. CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS after the fact, i checked my account a bit after going and what should have been a roughly $250 (with tip) bill ended up being $454.93 on my statement. I am not sure if the party of 5 and our bill got swapped or what happened. EDIT: Called them and they immediately credited back the money with no hassle. Changing to 4 star. (-1 point for the allergy thing).

Unfortunately like almost every thing else fell apart and it never happened. The soup was served warm and didn't have taste very good cold. I sent it back and when we had hot it tasted great. The hot soup and fried rice was the best part of the meal. The cook's skills was way below average. I'm basing that on the many Japanese steakhouse I've been to. The cook dropped a piece of steak on the table on almost every person he served. He was very good with the salt shaker which explains why my Chicken and the vegetables were overly salted. I had to remind my server to bring us water a couple of times.

We ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, Spicy Negi Ramen (level 4 hot), an order of Gyoza, and an appetizer order of Karaage Chicken. Both of our Ramen bowls were absolutely delicious!! I'm used to eating very authentic Ramen when I lived in San Diego so this was a first for being in this area. It was a great portion size, beautiful presentation and everything tasted so good. I think the egg could've been cooked a little bit less so it would be not so well done so to speak, but it was delicious still. Also, the chicken appetizer was a good, but not as flavorful as some Karaage Chicken I have had. I probably wouldn't order that one again even though it was good, just lacked flavor and was a bit grisly. The service was outstanding. They are very kind and very attentive. The place is very clean. The bathrooms are nicely stocked and very clean as well. The lobby is beautiful and we will definitely be back!
