If I could give no star I would! I had a really bad experience here. It's near the gym and I just finished a great workout and wanted to try this place out. I love teriyaki and some yakisoba. I ordered the veggie yakisoba and the Kung pao chicken. When I got home the order was wrong, I instead got fried rice with chicken, beef and pork! That wasn't what I ordered! My wife can't eat pork so I called the store and told the man who took my order that he gave me the wrong item, not even an apology but he also said "ITS YOUR FAULT!" How is that my fault? He said that he called out what he was putting in the bag and that I went over and took the item without checking myself. He later then said oh yah you order the veggie yakisoba, can you pick it up? I told him I'm already home and it's inconvenient for me to drive back to pick up the mistake he made! The he goes again and say it was my fault! Wait..... that made me very upset! I work in the F&B industry and I know for a fact even though it's the customers fault YOU DO NOT SAY THAT DIRECTLY! He then said the fired rice was more expensive then the one I originally bought! Then he proceed to say that I should have checked first! I answered back and said listen here you put the food in the bag! You looked at me and gave me the sign that this was mine! The king pao chicken was there but not the veggie yakisoba! He then said ok you come pick up next time! I was done arguing! Not even a apology nothing Never again come back here! Destroyed my appetite This business needs to be better in how they treat their customers

Sweet & Sour Chicken with fried rice !

Food is a 10/10 every time! I order for delivery & pick up. Hot and ready fast! Always my go to.

I originally did not have an intention of coming here but it just happened to be right next to H&R Block and I was hungry AND I was craving Teriyaki so it was perfect. I was super excited to dig into my food and whatnot but... it didn't really go so well. I noticed right away it is a small Korean family owned business that has their daughter working up front while the parents work in the kitchen. She was working alone and there were quite a bit of customers in the tiny cramped space and a few people in line to order togo. I never thought, it would take 20 minutes to order my food and have it come out... just so I have 5 minutes to scarf it all down... [I am a super slow eater as well].... I didn't really want to take it home either so I tried to eat as much as I can in literally 5 minutes. I even had to stare at the clock as I took each bite. That was stressful. I mean doing taxes was supposed to be stressful enough. I don't know how I ate that food without getting indigestion of eating too fast. Other than that, for the food... I ordered the Lunch Special Chicken Teriyaki I think it was $5.95 which is quite a large portion for it's price. I liked that part. Portion is good. The teriyaki sauce was a bit salty... so I couldn't do my usual mixing with the rice. I just ate what I could. It was decent. I can't say it's one of the best teriyaki I have had though. I will come again next time if I am in the area.

This place is super cheap and consistent with their food. I have never had a bad meal and I have been coming for years.

5 out of 5 AYCE for sure! First time visiting Sumo Sushi & Grill last weekend with my family and we…read morehad such a great experience! (FYI, for weekends and holidays, you'll be charged the dinner price all day). Since it was our first time, our server kindly explained how the ordering system works. You place your sushi orders through one phone with a limit of 15 items every 15 minutes. Drinks and refills are recommended to be ordered directly through your server so they don't take up item slots. Even if you order less than 15 items, you still wait the 15 minutes before placing another round. It sounds a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple! One of the cutest parts of the experience was having our food delivered by a little robot server with a cat face. Just make sure to grab the food from the section glowing blue so you don't accidentally take another table's order. Super fun and honestly memorable! By the time we were getting full, my family joked that the cat face looked menacing, because we were hoping no more food would be brought to our table lol. The orders don't all arrive at the same time and some can be delayed, so I'd suggest somewhat trying to keep track of your orders if you don't want to go overboard. The sashimi was delicious and the portions are HUGE, so definitely pace yourself because they do charge for leftovers. My son got a little too excited and overordered, so we ended up paying the leftover fee. However, I was genuinely impressed that Sumo Sushi actually allows you to take leftovers home, even with the fee included. I mean, you'll have to pay the fee either way, but I've never been to an AYCE sushi restaurant that allowed leftovers as takeout before. I really respect how serious they are about reducing food waste. They also have a small buffet section you can grab already prepared/cooked food from while waiting for your sushi orders. My absolute favorites were the miso soup, seafood boil(?), and the tempura fish that lives rent free in my head (I should have asked if I could order that fish for takeout!). They also had other hot foods, meats, and seafood options that were tasty. The dessert section was more basic (flan, jello, fortune cookies, etc.), so I skipped dessert this time (besides the fortune cookies hehe). The service, in general, was fantastic. While we were dining, a child nearby celebrated a birthday with their family and the staff went ALL OUT singing happy birthday with light-up decorations and so much energy. It was adorable and way more effort than most restaurants put in. My only small critique is that the "French Fries" listed on the menu are actually sweet potato fries. They tasted good, and I normally like sweet potatoes, but it definitely caught us off guard because it wasn't what we expected. When we left, the staff kindly said goodbye to us, including an older gentleman near the door who consistently seemed focused on customer service and even asked if we wanted condiments packed with our leftovers. We had such a lovely experience and I would consider Sumo Sushi as probably one of the better AYCE sushi spots in the area. We'll definitely be back!

Below average. In…read morefact, if I had visited the Sumo AYCE in Tacoma before I tried the one in Burlington, I doubt I would have ever walked into Burlington's Sumo. It was Father's Day, so of course it was busy. But the food was subpar, it came out in indefinable intervals, and we weren't really checked on at all. The sushi - when it finally showed up - was good, but the grilled beef was fatty and greasy. The Chicken 'Katsu' was soggy. Some items - despite taking what seemed like forever to arrive - felt and tasted like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. Horrible experience for $100. We won't be back.

We go nearby to do our annual tax returns (yay.) and then kind of make a tradition to come here and get a meal. My favorite combo here is the chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu. Portions are generous and sometimes there is enough where it lasts for two meals! With this combination you get salad also. I also ordered hot and sour soup on our last visit. It was little bit different than what I normally get but it also tasted fresher and was quite good!

Full of flavor and loaded with vegetables. 10/10 easy. You get a generous serving for just over ten bucks and usually order a couple to go every time. As for the food, solid as well. Chicken is decent quality and has a good amount of char on it. The eggrolls are the usual basic and consistent brand along with the salad dressing too. The beverage cooler is a NO GO! All of the soda is expired and the can of soda I got was close to date but still good. The place itself could use some work. It appears that they clean but a deep clean has been ignored for a while. The tables have a look and feel to it that leaves us going ugh. The chairs got a sway and seem it's one ass away from buckling. Overall, you're not gonna stop me from the egg drop soup. Solid four stars and gonna get it everytime. Regardless.
